“We loved everything about VA de Vi. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. The small plates menu offers a good range of dishes, from appetizers to veggies, pasta, risotto, meat, and fish. We shared the cheese plate, beet salad, tuna sashimi, roasted mushrooms, black cod, and steak. The dessert menu has delicious housemade confections. Beignets, lava cake, blondies, tarte tatin. The espresso was well made.Service was smooth and professional. We enjoyed our visit. Thank you Va di Vi staff.“
“YOU HAVE TO COME VISIT IF YOU ARE A PICKY SUSHI EATER. It's a simple spot that looks like it's family owned, very unassuming but has the best sushi I had in the Bay Area for a while. Very fresh fish, reasonably priced, service is excellent. It's simply outstanding, please give them a try and you won't be disappointed! The sushi literally melts in your month IM NOT LYING TO YOU go“
“Lively place, delicious food. One star less because the Paella skillet is very tiny and can barely fill two kids. I would rather pay more to get a decent sized dish. The food was served within minutes of ordering, so thats a plus! Drinks were great and quality of food was excellent. FYI, wait times are long to get a table without prior reservation. Highly recommend this place especially to visit on weekend nights.“
“Ate here for the first time last night and my experience was exemplary: exceptionally friendly staff with very prompt service, and the food was excellent. I ordered the ropa vieja (braised brisket) and both the flavors and portions left nothing to be desired. My fellow dining companions enjoyed their meals as well, and we weren't hurried or rushed out of the door as we celebrated a couple of birthdays following our meal. Cool ambiance with paintings and a sort of rustic Cuban look, and good music to fit as well.“
“This place gets popping on the weekends! We came for some great Vietnamese food and definitely got that and then some! There was parties of people coming in and the place got very lively! The food here is great, Service was great and the energy was wonderful!“
“One of the best restaurants in the East Bay for Peruvian cuisine. The food, service, and atmosphere were all very good for going out on a Saturday night. It's a lively and loud space, but it makes it fun and exciting to be in. The dining area has a dark and rustic look to it and is pretty clean, even for an extremely busy night. That being said, do make sure that you get a reservation before coming to the restaurant, as it is very popular. The place has some great quality food, which is a bit more of the pricey end, but you're paying for that quality. Make sure you try the chicken, as it is what they're known for. The drinks are also pretty good, although I felt that they did short me on the alcohol for the price. The bar itself has a wide selection of liquors and a pretty good beer and wine list. Overall, an exciting place to get some great Peruvian food.Parking: Pretty hard to find street parking, but there is a paid parking garage not too far away.Kid-friendliness: You can take kids here, but it has more of an adult-only feel.“
“This place is fantastic. Great selection of wine and food, great ambiance, and exceptional service from Scott. We were there for our friend’s birthday and were craving dessert with our wine, which is the only thing they didn’t have (although he said they are working on getting it soon). He actually went to the local bakery (Primrose) and brought us back several dessert choices! 11/10 service, we can’t wait to come back. Was also really impressed with the value for my cab flight and my friend’s bubbly flight with very generous pours.“
“This place is a great place to have Japanese dons (rice bowls) as there's a variety of options. I've had the onyako don (egg and chicken) as well as the katsu don. A few times I've doordashed and other times I've ordered directly and all times service was great with quick service. Ambiance of the restaurant is good as well and it's more of a Togo place but does have dining area.“

Fried rice w shrimp excellent also we had gyoza ,(pot stickers) very good and ragoons the kids loved. I ordered a side Salad it was in a huge bowl w arugula Greenleaf tomatoes onions I asked for side of Thai dressing peanut sauce which I love! Shared salad as it was enough for 4 adults! All that food and take home containers! Tastes great next day too. Definitely going back we all loved it 10 stars! Prices are good too!Kid-friendliness: They have kids menu but the kids ate from our plates as they like rice ? and noodles ?Wheelchair accessibility: Easy entrance I'm disabled walking gets hard but I made it in fine.“
“Beautiful restaurant, excellent food, outstanding service. I had the octopus and paella. The octopus was perfect. It's easy to over or undercook octopus, but this was perfect with a nice light char. I thought the paella mixta was a bit fatty and lacked spice and depth of flavor, it was a bit one note. But it was delicious nonetheless and they nailed the crispy rice which is difficult. I highly recommend this restaurant.“
“Ordered from this place a few times now and each time the "dons" I received are excellent quality. The food is fresh and great tasting. The service is very good as you order from the front and pick up pretty quickly. The ambiance is great as it's in the pacific food hall but this place has its own little corner with ample seating.“
“One of the best Indian food spots in the area! I have yet to try their lunch buffet (which looks great) but I came for dinner and was very pleased! Huge portions and greats flavours alike. Prices are reasonable with great service and cleanliness. Will be coming back!“
