“SBTH is one of the best places in San Ysidro to get a good drink at a good price. I come here often for a drink or two and good from the fish place near by and some times from the market. The best part is that you can watch various PPV events, have a great drink and eat delicious food from the shops near by. Customer service is great and very friendly. Like any small shop expect longer queue times when they are busy but they will always take care of you.

Parking: If you come to SBTH while the near by shops are open you can get food from their but parking will be harder to find. Worst case scenario you can't park in front of SBTH so you will need to walk from either end of the parking lot to SBTH but this will take you a minute or less.“

“Definitely not a place that gets going all night like a club would but a very cool and quaint spot to grab a drink with a group friends. Pool tables and a variety of drinks on tap. Bartenders are receptive as well. Juke Box is a plus to play music of one’s choice.It’s honestly kind of it’s own place in the middle of everything, but wouldn’t mind staying here for a night and drink the night away. The Elwood is nearby too.“

The bartender (white dude with long hair ??) he has stellar customer service ?? met friendly people and staff! I like how they have a smoking area where you could still hear the music dead on , but they could have dimmer lights in the smoking section coz it bothered my eyes ???? I didn't get to try the food but I look forward to doing so soon!! Security was on it, great communication skills amongst each other and they paid attention all around; I felt safe.. I don't think anyone would mess with ??. Bathroom was very clean and the long mirror A+ ???. “I was there for the first time this past weekend for the Canelo vs. Charlo fight and loved all of the positive vibes at this establishment.

The owners (Otto & Selena) are amazing!!

One thing I noticed is despite how busy they all were Otto had a smile on his face the entire time.

Normally when it's busy and chaotic people tend to lose their smile because their stressed out. This is proof that when your doing something your passionate about it's fun and you enjoy every minute of it.

All of the staff provided excellent customer service. Regina is my favorite!! ?

Dj's Money Miner & Jay 2 we're in the mix playing all the old school jams!! At one time all the boys took over the dance floor just vibing out Lol!! I know because theirs video footage Hahaha!!! ??‍♂️?

“Craft beer places are a dime a dozen in SD, but I knew after one visit that Machete is easily going to become a favorite water hole to visit when I am in the mood for a good variety of craft beer. They have a bunch of different styles, and a selection of beers from breweries that I either haven't heard of or never tasted before. Love that. It gets boring seeing the same 3-4 breweries at every place that offers craft beer in SD.Vibe is super chill, casual and divey.Staff here is really nice. I didn't get his name, but he let me try a few different beers and gave great recommendations based on the styles I like.No food here, but the Papi’s Teppanyaki food truck is here from time to time. Check their IG for their schedule. Not sure if there are ever other options since I only recently found out about this place.Cheers!Edit: I came back a second time and the super cool bartender's name is Jett. “Great venue. Right on the beach. Has inside bar area and great outdoor patio. Knocked off 1 star because the drinks are pretty weak. $9 for a tito cranberry in a small glass with a 3 count pour. They could suffer to be a tad more generous with the booze at a dive bar.“

“Used to do shows here when it was over the border. Nice place to hang out. It has a chill vibe, especially on a reggae night. Went for Ruff em' up Posse. One negative is that they make you pay for water, but I know that on a busy night pouring water can slow down bar service. They should have maybe just a large self serve water jug like most clubs have. Otherwise fantastic time back it this South Bay hit spot.“

“Great hidden gem in the heart of National City’s Market on 8th food hall!Excellent craft beer tap list goes along perfectly with the vast food options available in this open air food hall.Bar staff was very knowledgeable about craft beer and made some great recommendations.Came on a nearly 100 degree San Diego day and couldn’t even tell it was hot out with all the windows open & the cool ocean breeze blowing through.Highly recommend grabbing a beer here whenever you can“

“Went here probably 8x, mostly made the same order and it came out different each time. If a menu says the pizza toppings, you'd expect those toppings or get told if something was out. Nope 1x we literally had a single sliver of green pepper and 2 slivers of onion.... 2x there were no veggies at all. 1x asked for no mushrooms and they put extra. I even showed the owner pictures of the previous pizzas and pictures of the receipts, he said he would fix it. The next visit was the correct pizza and decent portion of chicken. The following visits were back to the same missing veggies and such.🤷🏼‍♂️ The consistency here is just horrible. Some times the pizza is cooked perfectly and others it is soggy and cold in the middle. As for the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, it often has a very very small portion of chicken. 1x it was what I felt a decent portion. If they were more consistently good we'd be back probably weekly. I would say 6 of the 8x we had issues. I don't like sending food back, but also want what I pat for. Some staff are very friendly and do an excellent job, checking in just enough. However some employees seem they hate their job and we have to ask 2 to 3x for more water or ranch. I was excited to have found a new place, but sadly the overall quality is just a coin flip. For the price it isn't worth the hassle. And our visits have never been during a busy time. I won't accept anything to return, I have it enough chances. Also don't believe their 5 star reviews as they offer you a free desert in exchange for a 5 star review.“

“I had shared before arriving that we were celebrating our 20th in the notes and had called weeks ahead of time requesting nothing special other than a nice seat with a view. Being at the 5 o'clock hour when it's actually scarce lots of open tables. My wife had to sit underneath the lower portion of the roof as I'm too tall. I get the view of the harbor she gets the view of the corner. Our table leaned along with needed leveling support because it rocked back& forth. It's not rocket science, fix it!! Service actually sub par never asked if my wife would like more coffee. Did ask how the food was. The food was excellent. The table next to us which featured a view for both of us was occupied by a single person working on their computer. Thankfully my original backup plan came through the night before where we were able to dine at Lelia's. At the end after being dessert & we declined. Our server can't back with a bowl of ice cream a lit candle a nicely wished us a happy 20th. They didn't have to do that it wasn't expected but we were $$ thankful. We'll return again like I said the food is awesome. But they seriously need to do some maintenance.“

“The beach club is a great and very relaxing place with a spectacular view of the ocean and good food and fantastic bands on certain days of the week and bingo on Monday night and dance lessons on Tuesday. I don’t like the security people but the staff are great! I was making a few coughs and was told to stop but there were no other people in the club and I was not sick. I thought that was rude!“
