Firoillo's is a very sweet surprise! Tucked away in a little corner between San Jose and Santa Clara you will find this little gem. Reservations are recommended. Please do yourself a favor and try it. I ordered their Linguine and Clams with white sauce and it was hands down the best I ever had! We didn't have a reservation but we (4) were seated promptly on a Friday night. I ordered the Prawns Fra Diavlo and it was very good...very flavorful. The linguine was just right, or do you say al dente? The hostess, Christine, was very nice and she made us feel at home and never rushed. They have a wide selection of wines and the Cabernet I selected was very good. The tiramisu was very good and I took more than I should against my doctor's order. A very nice family American Italian restaurant. Since the children took over, the focus seems to be on banquets and quick business meals. There is an old regular client base that dates to the father. But they still make the coil sausage which is great and the rice balls with meat inside on Christmas, both which the father started.
