“I visited for the first time last week as I noticed they had Korean street food added onto their menu, and let me tell you, I will be here every week if I can. As someone who loves Korean food, but struggles with the spice, they were more than willing to adjust the spice level for me and honestly the food was top tier especially for being pretty quick and also conveniently located near my office. “I had tacos to try various meats. Carnitas, pastor, lengua and buche. They were all very good. But I can't wait to try their carnitas burrito. Everyone one was friendly and welcoming. (Danny, Francisco and Desiree). I also went back to get asada quesadillas for my wife and son. And a carnitas taco and a side of rice. My wife and son loved them!“

“Ordered for pickup through DoorDash. It was very quick, and the restaurant is inside the ramen restaurant.

The tacos were pretty good; I liked the beef the best. The bulgogi fries were delicious. Not too salty, and the portions are perfect.

My only issue was it was a little cold, and I had picked up in 20-30 minutes after ordering.“

“First time coming here and it was delicious! Tried the short ribs, chicken kebab, beef kebab, and shrimp kebab. All of it was really good, but the short ribs were my favorite, then the shrimp. The hot sauce on the shrimp works really well together. The plates come with plenty of rice, small salad, a potsticker, an onion ring, and some sort of sweet crispy wonton. We ordered in person to go and the order didn't take too long, a little less than 10 minutes I think.“

“What a wonderful experience. I knew this was gonna be awesome as soon as I walked in. We were quickly greeted and seated. They were playing the kpop demon hunters album....bonus points! Our server Gia gave us wonderful recommendations such as the sweet and sour crispy pork (life changing). We also had seafood noodles with shrimp, squid, and pork! “The waitress named Prince was pretty and nice. It made me want to go back again. I felt comfortable asking what I needed because she was accommodating. The food was delicious and the cook was the one who brought the food on the table. Classy restaurant. We ate there today July 23 at lunch. I commend your waitress. It made a difference to have been served by a hospitable staff. I know because I worked in the hotel industry for 20 years!“

“Hello! The Trekking Pawns here! Something very different for us. Black bean noodles! Very different way of us ever having black beans and we really enjoyed it. The flavors were very nice and the sides complimented intermittent bites to cleanse palet very well. Wasn’t a fan of the raw onions, but they were the smelly make you cry type, they were the sweet type, but just not a fan of raw onions. The setting was very cafeteria style, but please and casual. We saw that everyone just left their dish trays on the table when done and the food stall that was responsible was very quick to pick up dishes. So we did the same. If you’re looking for a snack and meal after exploring the galleria market, this place is perfect!“

“My husband was craving Teppanyaki so we came to Yamato on a Saturday night and it was pretty crowded but since we really just wanted the food and didn’t necessarily want to see the “show” we were seated pretty quickly at a nice spacious booth. The servers were very friendly and attentive. We got the hibachi steak and shrimp and the hibachi steak and scallops which were both delicious. The fried rice was extremely flavorful and the portions are generous. The side of veggies was absolutely amazing. The price point is also very good. Some teppanyaki restaurants are extremely overpriced and Yamato is priced fairly especially for how much food you get. The atmosphere is fun and lively and perfect for celebrating birthdays, graduations, etc.

Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly atmosphere. High noise level for babies but very fun and lively for littles.“

She checked in at just the right times without ever making us feel rushed, and she had great menu suggestions that we ended up loving. Her positive energy really added to the whole experience, and she made sure everything was perfect from start to finish.“
