THIS IS BY FAR, I MEAN BY FAR THE BEST MEXICAN PLACE IN ALL OF SANTA CRUZ. My family and I had a long day at the beach the kids played for hours while my wife and I enjoyed the nice views and rides along the boardwalk and when we all got hungry we walked over since it caught our eye. Let me tell you that the customer service was splendid! La Montana Restaurante y Taqueria is a hidden gem just off the Boardwalk in downtown Santa Cruz. Despite some minor upgrades needed, the food quality and hospitality shine through. The breakfast burrito is delish and filling, the refried beans are excellent, and the chimichanga is a must-try. The pazole and huevos rancheros are also delicious and homemade. With a full menu to choose from, including street tacos and a satisfying super burrito, this place is a promising spot for delicious Mexican dishes. The service is great, the employees are nice, and the prices are down to earth. A pleasant place with a good vibe that will have you coming back for more.
