“Follow the sign at Painter Avenue. Park your car at the first parking spot you see. Proceed down the driveway (look left) until you see the door in the fence. Walk to the left of the canopy and walk up the stairs to the "will call" office. Knock on the door until someone answers. They will walk you to the bakery where you can choose and pay for your bread. They take cash and cards. Excellent bread at great prices. I paid $5 for a large loaf of sourdough bread. Would definitely recommend!“

Can you imagine 20 of us, but we never had to ask for another drink, she automatically filled our glasses and she had a smile all the time. “Came here for Brioche with ricotta, honey, and pistachio. Got two croissants which were Strawberry & cream and Bacon & onion for togo. For Brioche I requested for honey on the side because I prefer to adjust the sweetness by myself and it was perfectly scrumptious. Millions out of ten! Brioche itself was soft, buttery, and tasty so it complimented very well with ricotta and honey plus a bit crunchy from pistachio. Oh one bite and I was blown away. My taste buds were dancing happily. Let’s talk about croissants. Normally, I tend to like savory croissants more than sweet croissants. However, after I tried both of them, strawberry and cream is the winner. I really like the filling. I’m not sure if it’s mascarpone or something else that went really well with strawberry jam. It’s so freaking good! Bacon and onion croissant was not bad at all but as I stated earlier, strawberry & cream is the winner for me.“

“This place came to the rescue!!! The wedding cake I had made fell over on the long drive. It was a disaster!! Other bakeries near the wedding venue were already closed and others needed at least 48 hour notice… the wedding was happening NOW. I called Sonora Bakery in my final desperate attempt, explained the situation, sent them a picture of the cake and within minutes, they got to work. The cake was delicious and the wedding was saved. Thank you Sonora Bakery…. You have a customer for life!“

I had their matcha latte with whole milk and it was delicious. The right flavor and temperature. The place looks like a great spot to pull up a laptop and listen to some good music.

I’d definitely come back again to try their other menu items.“

“What they do have tastes delicious. From the sweet, rich pastries and cakes to the satisfying burritos and mollete, I always love what I have ordered. I can't judge the authenticity and I do wish they had a few more choices different (and healthier?) from their current selection. They do have vegetarian options, although they don't always have them in stock. The drinks also satisfy my coffee cravings.

They have free wifi, but it isn't a place to sit and work for more than a couple of hours, but they have a bathroom for customers.“

“I wanted to try this bakery because I was in the area. It is a small bakery just pick up. There is no seating, but the bakery is clean and pleasant. I met the owner who was friendly and helpful. It was so nice to be able to eat a gluten free, low carb dessert. The items we did purchase were fresh, moist and delicious. It was a bit pricey, but when you like baked goods, and can’t have gluten in it and or are diabetic this is a nice solution.“

“The best and sometimes only good gluten-free pizza in the city. The cauliflower crust pizza is delicious and the mushroom pepperoni and sausage is my very favorite. I always get great service, and they're taking baked pizzas are really inexpensive and then I always have pizza on hand at home which works cuz I'm a single person!

My family and I have followed Chef & Owner Kei since it first started and only had regular priority mail delivery and pickup from a co-op location in Downtown LA. I stopped by after the Montrose Farmers Market, where Sugarbird was before and I believe still is for other Farmers Markets, and Kei herself was managing the store. She was nice and really excited to finally have her own storefront. I got a free tea, free clotted cream, the tea sandwich set, six scones (ube, lemon blueberry, matcha, fig & rosemary, passionfruit & earl grey) and shortbread cookies.“

Very disappointed with the customer service because she says that they can't send me a replacement soup just to $12 refund for the one that was damaged. I don't know how I'm supposed to do the 5-day cleanse next week as planned as I am now short a soup 😔 First and last order if they can't make this right. UPDATE: I guess they did the best that they could to make it right. “Came here with my wife and got yogurt. Tart was not working so the girl kindly got it working for me. I left a $2 tip. The owner comes in at the end of her shift, takes the money from the can . I may have mistaken, but that was dirty imop. Give the tips to the workers..

“I have been coming to Grounds Bakery & Cafe since the day they opened. They have some of the best fresh breads and pastries. Such a massive selection. My favorite are the sandwiches.
