The Experience & Flow: The menu structure and the order of the courses are quite different from your typical fine dining spots. It keeps you on your toes and makes the meal feel like an exciting journey. We opted for the Champagne and wine pairing, and it was absolute perfection. The sommelier clearly knows how to complement these unique flavors. The Ambience: The space itself is cozy and intimate, with a stunning garden that adds a magical touch to the atmosphere. “Good food, not great, very wide variety on menu, some of which is unusual and tasty. Server was warm, friendly, helpful.
Atmosphere was noisy and not conducive to easy conversation. Sitting at a table for four, or friends on the bench were noticeably higher than we were in 2 chairs. A bit uncomfortable.“

“This was our second time at Somni and it absolutely rocked—somehow it even exceeded our first experience. The food was incredible, with each dish prepared by chef Aitor being nothing short of spectacular. Caroline's pairings were magnificent and perfectly complemented the menu. Bruce, MJ, and James were all fabulous and made sure we had an amazing time in our private room. We're already looking forward to many more visits... and next time, we just might try the counter seating!“

“We came here for a coworker's birthday. They called ahead and prepared a special menu with our names on it, along with homemade cheesecake and whipped cream. We ordered the prime rib, broccoli and French onion soup. For the price, I would rate the steak 8.5/10. The service and ambiance of the restaurant was great. Highly recommended for dates, family dinners or corporate/clients.“

“We were recommended to eat at Bruin Plate if we wanted a healthy lunch while we were visiting the UCLA campus. It's definitely different than Griffin/Sunset/Covel Commons. It's hard to tell from the outside but it's quite large after we entered. Lots of places to sit and natural lighting everywhere. There are at least 5 different stations available for lunch. Some of the stations open and close based on when you get out of your seat to look for more to eat.It is true, the food is quite healthy. Even the chocolate has zucchini on the inside. It's not the typical pizza, spaghetti, pasta, burger, or generic lunch. It's also not a Vegas buffet. It's quite unique. My favorite was the beef and barley soup. That was outstanding.Would I come back? Yes, but I would go for a dinner experience when all the stations are open. That would definitely be a fun experience.“

“Me and my best friend went to celebrate and have a little galentines dinner and it was perfect. It was Super Bowl night so the restaurant was almost empty and we got to stay there a while just chatting and enjoying their delicious food. We got the famous curly fries, pasta, pizza and their also famous pink cake. We enjoyed it all! And to top it off our server was extremely nice and so sweet, we really enjoyed coming here the vibes are immaculate! Definetely coming back!“
