“Obvious wins for this place are an attractive happy hour. 2-for-1 drinks everyday, all you can eat tacos.
Immediately upon walking in, service is not the strength. A waitress/hostess walked righ past as I waited to be seated. Sat at the bar about 10 minutes before being noticed.
However, the bartender was very friendly and attentive once service began.
The tacos were very okay. Typical pub tacos. The chicken is very bland and nothing but onion and a little cilantro, no sauce.
I also am not a fan of the fact that they serve you BOTH of your beers at the same time. By the time you get to your second one, it’s on its way to being lukewarm.
The atmosphere is decent and old school which I like.
Also good music in the afternoon!“

Parking: Parking in back was $20, valet only. Another lot nearby has a sign saying $10 but it's false advertising - $25 is the real rate, $10 is only with validation from one venue (not the Blue Birdy).“

“Service was great, food was good for a bar, and the atmosphere was spot on.

The only real negative was the condition of the tables. For $25 an hour they should be great tables. The pockets were big, but the biggest issue was the cloth, they should be recovered every year, at least, due to that cost.

If they are busy, you can only play for 1 h 30 minutes, but if not just check in with the desk to make sure it's ok to continue play.“

Wow - five stars for OK food? Absolutely. In my very own rating scheme, it is mandatory for five stars that I would be willing to do a 30+ min detour just to go to this particular place. And I did. Many times. And will do it again. We've been to the Ivy's in Beverly Hills the night before. It would be totally unfair to compare on a mere culinary basis. The wings, chili, stuffed jalapeños, steak sandwich, burger, etc. are all delicious! (We don’t choose healthy here lol) The bartenders are attentive and friendly, and we’re not there enough to be regulars, but I definitely notice some of the same people every time we are there.
