“I loooove this place! Scrumptiously rich, lick-your-plate-clean, authentic tasting curry options, and very fresh & flavorful veggies. Because you can pick your base, protein, and side, everyone can get what they want! There’s also a little sauce bar off to the side where you can customize it even further.
If you’re not sure what curry you want to commit to, don’t be afraid to ask for a sample of them! I’ve always seen the same girl working and she’s always soooo friendly & welcoming! ❤️❤️ She’s also already starting to recognize my friend & I, and our orders hahaha.
My order is crispy tofu, a different curry every time, on a bed of shredded lettuce and a side of steamed veggies. Warm, comforting, and indulgent, yet I never feel guilty! Also the limeade is house made, tangy, and VERY refreshing! Not too sweet.
Very vibey and peacefully decorated space with decent seating, considering that it’s cute and cozy inside. High tops and low tops. If you get to-go, the containers they use keeps everything nice and separated! Parking is a little limited but there are a few spots right in front.“

“Oishii is such a hidden gem! Very clean, and the insanely friendly and attentive staff make you feel right at home. The highlight for me was the pork noodle soup—seriously, it’s the closest thing I’ve found to authentic street noodle soup from Thailand. Such a rare find! Everything we tried was fresh and delicious. I’m already planning my next visit. Highly recommend!
Also 50% off apps and some rolls, beer and Thai tea for happy hour. Can’t beat it. Everyday from 2-5pm.“

“I have been craving good Thai for a few years. I have tried some not good and some okay other places. Thai Time is so good. The aromas of the spices tortured my already empty stomach with the enticement of good food to come. I have fallen in love with the food and customer service. I will be back as my budget allows.“

“My order was for takeout....and it was ready right on time. Everything was absolutely delicious and prices were good! The Satay chicken was tender and flavorful....Pad Woon Sen was fresh and light with crispy vegetables. Cream cheese wontons were great and served as dessert. The portions were generous with plenty left over for a second meal. Pretty sure Little Thai Kitchen is now my favorite Thai food spot!😊“

“One of my favorite restaurants authentic Latin cuisine. I have been coming here for over 30 years and was so sad when it closed down during the pandemic. So glad it reopened! Can’t wait 😜 to go back. I give it 5 stars for sure!“

“One of the better dining experiences I’ve had in quite some time! Everything was delicious, staff was attentive and quick, food came out in a reasonable time and everything was piping hot and fresh 😋
I wanted to note that the negative reviews involving staff pushing them out honestly makes sense from a business point of view, it’s ridiculous to order take out and assume you can take a seat from those intending to eat there. It’s a small place, it’s to be expected! We had no problems feeling rushed, and even if we were, I’d absolutely understand if they had people waiting for tables. Don’t let those ridiculous reviews put you off from giving this place a try, it’s totally worth trying!“

“From the very first bite, I felt like I was right back on the streets of Bangkok! This restaurant is an absolute gem! Every dish bursts with the kind of bold, vibrant flavors you only find in authentic Thai cooking. The aromas of lemongrass, chili, and coconut hit the moment you walk in, and from there, it’s pure magic.
I tried the Pad See Ew, and Khao Soi,
(Only found in northern Thailand) and each one was spot on — perfectly balanced between spicy, tangy, and fragrant. You can tell the chefs know what they’re doing and cook straight from the heart.
Can’t wait to come back — khob khun ka! 🇹🇭❤️“

“El Barrio Cantina is the definition of underrated. I went during their weekday lunch hours and had the pork belly tacos, street corn, and a watermelon agua fresca—and I swear I could eat that exact meal every day and not get bored. The food is vibrant, the plating is casual but thoughtful, and the portions are generous. The music was a chill reggaeton playlist and the patio has this cool mural that adds to the whole experience. This spot’s gonna blow up soon—mark my words.“

“I went there to eat with a coworker for lunch earlier today. It was my very first time having been there. I was recommended by a couple of my friends. The restaurant was pretty spacious and the staff were very friendly. I ordered the laab seen (ລາບຊີ້ນ) a Lao minced beef salad and the tom khueng nai (ຕົ້ມເຄື່ອງໃນ) a Lao beef innards soup with some sticky rice. Lunch was delicious. I will definitely be going back there again. I will be bringing my mom. She was actually the person that had brought up this place to me before as well. See you again in the near future.“

“Great Thai food with wonderful service in a strip mall. Minimal atmosphere, although very nice. Lots of free parking and available close to the entrance. Lunch only on the day we were there. We ordered curry with brown rice, but two different curries. They flavored it perfectly with four different spicy levels to choose from. Delicious, quiet enough to enjoy a chat; fast, courteous service. Immaculately clean and friendly! We stumbled on this place after missing our turn, but we will definitely come back again. They do take out, but we dined in and enjoyed it immensely.“

“While waiting for my car, I spotted a Thai restaurant right in front of the shop, great! I decided to try their lunch special Pad Thai, and I loved it! The meal came with Pad Thai, a crispy egg roll, salad, an orange, and soup, totally worth it! The food was delicious, and they even asked me to rate my spice level from 1 to 10, which I found one hehe.It ended up being my brunch, and it was such a nice experience. The lady was easy to talk to, probably because it was just the two of us dining in, aside from the to-go orders. The place is spacious, indoor and outdoor, has a good restroom. Definitely worth it while waiting for my car, yay!“

“We discovered this spot a while back and recently visited San Diego again and had another chance to stop by. By far this sweet little spot makes Lao Cuisine closest to homemade. All the flavors were there in the mix salad which I loved because a lot of Lao Cuisine don’t make it this way. And the fried chicken and sausage was a great pair with the salad. We also had a side of sticky rice. The set up was changed and may have different ownership? But we felt like it still hit the spot.
Many complain about the cost, unless you know how much time and effort goes into Lao Cuisine, it shouldn’t be any less than any other cuisine. Otherwise, it may be best to make it yourself at home than complain about the cost of what things should be.
We thought it was all reasonable and generous amount of food in this economy. My husband and I still didn’t finish it all.
We visit San Diego often so we will be back!“

“Got drunken noodles with shrimp and Thai papaya salad to go. Both are fresh, flavorful and delicious. Will definitely come back to try the other items on the menu. The menu is pretty extensive with salad, soup (pho also), appetizers, and hot food sections. Service was pleasant and quick.“

“Says Chinese food but also has Thai food but a bunch of Vietnamese writing. Red curry is spicy. They included tail on for shrimp in the curry. Kung pao chicken was crispy and had a nice amount of heat. Pork and Chinese broccoli was good. Thai noodles with beef needs improvement and more beef. They didn’t include rice with my curry and wanted to charge $2.75 for some which is absurd. Parking lot in back“

“Needed a hole in the wall Chinese spot and I found it. Tracked them down from their second location in Grossmont Mall. Food is actually good. For San Diego, this is as good as you can get off Convoy. Classic family owned restaurant, looks like it’s been in business a while. Very kind and attentive with awesome food.“
