“I was about to eat alone in my hotel room while my group was at an event. I’m so glad I changed my mind. I had a seat at the bar and was so kindly welcomed by Alexis(I hope I spelled his name right.)It was Saturday night. He made a fabulous Old fashioned. I had the beet salad which was delicious, a perfect filet mignon, delicious red wine and he forced😀me to try the chocolate mousse. He was amazing to watch as he worked so hard. He needs a bonus. Always smiling. The atmosphere was perfect. Sometimes going alone is just what you need. Had some good conversations with folks next to me. Thank you! I shall return. I’m sure I burned the calories with all the walking.“

“We had shrimp cocktail, French onion soup, wedge salad, 20 oz ribeye with a baked potato, and a banoffee tart for dessert. We split each course and the waitstaff had the chef plate it all separately for us which made sharing easier.“

“I’ve been coming to Izzy’s for 35 years. This was the first time I’ve been back since the remodel 6 months ago. As usual the steaks and sides were fabulous. However, the four of us ordered several glasses of wine and the “pours” were pathetic! I don’t mind paying top dollar for a glass of wine but I don’t appreciate a 1/4 glass of wine that was barely two sips! Don’t try to pay off your remodel expenses by cheap skating your wine pours! “ABSteak by Chef Akira Back was such a fun surprise! The space feels modern and stylish, and the Korean-inspired twist on steak makes everything feel fresh and exciting. The meat quality was top-notch—super tender and flavorful—and the sauces and sides added the perfect balance. The staff were attentive without being over the top, and the vibe was lively but still comfortable. Great spot if you want something upscale with a little edge.“

“We go to Tad’s regularly and are in love! Their food is exceptional. The hamburger steak breakfast has deep flavor, especially with their glorious beef gravy. I always get extra gravy! Their service matches their food with a positive upbeat vibe. Kitchen staff are regularly singing away, probably because they’re having fun. These are just a few reasons why Tad’s is so successful since the 1950’s! Go there!“

“No frills neighborhood diner that serves a steak meal at the best price you can find! It took a while for us to order, and it’s not tableside service whatsoever, but for ~$25 you get a steak, baked potato, huge plate of salad, and garlic bread. I had their club steak which is a fattier cut compared to the other offerings and asked for it to be medium rare, it ended up being more medium but still good and the fat was charred nicely. My favorite part of the meal was surprisingly the salad which has a ton of ingredients including beets and reminded me a bit of the HOPR salads! Feels like a diner, has other items on the menu too. Definitely a neighborhood gem, would come back again :)“
