“Visited the Manchester UK restaurant today. Did not like it at all!!! Had to wait 20mins for my order and when it came it looked disgusting. The slider I got was a real thin, tough piece of chicken which wasn't very tender and the batter was over done and tasted greasy which was no surprise as it dripped out when I got the carton out and had a hint of a beef taste. The fillet included was just the same but a little bigger but the fries were the saving grace! They were nice a fluffy but the chicken here is terrible and wouldn't visit again. The staff were great but the food was terrible and it didn't even taste like chicken! No wonder they have spice it's to disguise the taste! Anyone trying for the first time I'd recommend getting it with no spice to get what it actually tastes like! Rank and horrible! Will go elsewhere for better quality chicken.“

He personally contacted the other location, canceled my order there, and made sure my food was freshly prepared here without any delay. “I make a pick up order so I don't know what the atmosphere is like but the food and service for pick up all really good. Highly recommend. I got a whole chicken and used it throughout the week for lunch and dinner. I also get their bottled dressings and salad and make wraps for lunches. I love their mashed potatoes and gravy. I also like the vegetable soup, very flavorful. Not a fan of the sweet mashed potato it was a bit watery.“

It isn’t easy to find a good fried chicken sandwich in the valley and I was incredibly (and surprisingly) pleased. A shame that due to slow business they will be shutting down in October. “I love their Garlic “goop” for the chicken. However, I am not willing to pay what they want for a rotisserie chicken when I can get a great chicken elsewhere for less than half the price.
IE: Costco’s chickens are awesome.
We buy the garlic goop from Zankou which is literally right across the street from Costco.
I know they will despise this review but I am simply being honest.“

Got the Ceasar Chicken Wrap with a side of chicken pasta. If you want salad, you won't be let down with their popular Chinese Chicken Salad, you can add pasta to it also.

Update 6/21/2025: Food is still great. Only change is, no more inside dining. It was late night, almost closing time, so not sure if they have the tables and benches out during the day.

“I’ve been eating at this place before 1987. I used to take my children here for dinner or lunch on Saturdays. My children are grown and are raising their families now. “As for Fried Chicken goes, Honey Kettle is one of the better ones in Southern California. The simplicity of the goods is what makes this staple good. There isn't many frills, but good fresh chicken cooked with some care.

There have been some small issues with service from time to time, but overall I would maintain their high rating because of the delicious chicken they serve.

There are some hit and misses with their sides, but certainly do get their beans.

Portions are not big, but there is nothing wrong with over-ordering something that could be finished later.“
