“My first time visiting. I was amazed at how fresh the ingredients in the food were. I had the chicken soup which was the BEST I have ever eaten. An entire boneless chicken breast in the broth with potatoes, corn on the cob, bell peppers, and tomatoes. Served with a side of Spanish rice that I added to the soup. Delightful.

I also had the shrimp ceviche tostada that was incredibly fresh and delicious. And the corn tortilla that it was served on never got soggy!

Home and mother’s cooking at its best. For a small hole-in-the-wall place, the food is better than most high-end restaurants!

“I been Here 3 times and the 3rd time was awful. I ordered the same thing I had the other 2 times. Taqutios but I asked AGAIN if I can miss match. The girl that was taking my order had a BAD attitude. Which was shocking because other 2times the woman who took my order was great! But this time it was a youngester. And not only that I heard a lady in the bk ground complainant mocking me because I asked for chicken and beef. That night I spent 66 bucks for Taqutios, asada fries and prok chille fries and tacos . And I almost didn't pay . The young girl had a bad attitude and as she was Handing me my drinks and food like as if she wanted to let it go. In all I probably won't go there again. Food is good but who wants to give their hard working money to a place like that.“

Friendly staff, with solidly built kitchen, a little noisy since theirs no sound insulation between the kitchen and indoor seating area. Having said that, during nicer weather, the outdoor seating looks picturesque. Not my local, but I'd frequent regularly if at all possible.“

Quick lunch with one of my coworkers, had the Asada Quesadilla and a Coke. They have a salsa bar and decent seating area. You order up front and they bring the food to you in the seating area. It was okay. I wasn't super impressed. I'd try this place again for some tacos next time. I don't want to bash them because I should have ordered tacos but I wasn't feeling it today. It is what is. I'll be back.“

“I been coming here since 2016. My family is from Michoacán and this taste exactly from my hometown in Mexico.So flavorful, you can buy it by the pound. And you can order it with tortillas, and eat as you please. And you can get single tacos aswell if your eating alone. Carnitas themselves are not dry at all like other places which are. Salsa onions and cilantro always include with your order. One other thing I've gotten free courtesy tacos in the past. Makes you feel at home. Good people, good food. “Carne asada fries and burritos are a must. Their guacamole is good and everything is prepared to order. Super simple takeout experience every time we come by. Eating in the shop is an option too, but the location isn’t terribly convenient to get to without driving up.We’ve been coming here more and more for breakfast burritos, which are a great deal and delicious. “There was no wait and staff was very friendly . Their food is fresh and flavorful but be careful it comes out steaming hot. We got the carne asada street tacos and flautas. The meat was tender and juicy. The flautas were crispy and with meat. The green sauce has the right amount of Picante and Spice. The red was a little too hot. The dishes come with a half jalapeno that's been charred and it looks so tasty but be careful. I would definitely go back and recommend. It is one place I have had cravings for since going there.“

“Finally! A place that has white menudo that tastes amazing. The meat was very clean and lean. The soup was full of flavor. I was here the other day and I saw that they had white menudo in the menu. I asked the owner how was it and she said it was great. Of course I was expecting that but she was right!To make things better they serve it every day except Tuesday when the indoor mall where they are is closed.Can’t wait for the next bowl!“

“Mi Lupita Restaurant is a mom & pop Mexican restaurant inside of a Swap Meet, way in the back of the indoor mall. Don’t be fooled by the location or the environment, the food is great! Our group had menudo (available daily) and I had a burrito mojado (Wet burrito). It was delicious and the right amount of food. The Jamaica I ordered as a drink was one of the best I’ve ever had, even to my LA native standards. I was told the menudo was good, but the true champion is the spicy red sauce at the table that’s very addicting. Stop on by if you’re in the area and undecided where to go!“

“The only place I get asada burritos now. Literally. Not figuratively. I literally stopped ordering them anywhere else. The carne asada itself is bomb, very flavorful. They pit onion and cilantro in, which makes it perfect in my opinion. They also put beans in and I've heard nothing but good reviews, but I prefer without just because. They have really good salsa amd that plus a squeeze of lime will literally make these things the best asada burrito you have ever had. Not to mention they cranked put 10 burritos in only 20 minutes one time for a large order for me. Not the cheapest, like 12 bucks a pop, but like 2 pounds of the best burrito in southern california. Next time I'll get a picture. If I can slow down long enough to get my phone.

Parking: South side of the road, a little shopping area with like 8 stores in a row. A bunch of parking in front of them all in a nice little lot.

“Mitla Cafe has been on our list for a very long time. Over the years we have seen celebrity chefs eat here, and review it. We have done Route 66 and never have hit the restaurant when we could stop and eat, so on the way back from Joshua Tree National Park and a little bit of a detour, we made time to have lunch. So glad we finally got to eat here. The restaurant has been open in this location since the 1930's and is a gem in San Bernardino.\n\nWe were seated right away, our server came over immediately and brought water, chips and salsa. The first basket of chips is complimentary, but you will pay $2.99 for a second basket, which I don't have a problem with.\n\nWe both decided on our dishes. I went with a shredded beef taco, and Mr. B had the two enchilada plate with a shredded beef taco. The taco shell was crispy, filled with tender shredded beef, fresh crispy lettuce and lots of cheese. Sounds basic I know, but it really had an authentic taste to the dish. I did snag a couple of bites of one of the cheese enchiladas filling Mr. B's plate and they were amazing. \nHe loved his plate, again the taco was filled to the brim, the two cheese enchiladas were filled with perfectly melted cheese and a unique and flavorful red sauce. They were not the flat enchiladas many Mexican restaurants serve, these were full of cheese and so good. The plate did not have rice and beans, which was great too. The plate was filling enough.\n\nWe found street parking which was nice. The food was excellent, service great, and you feel the history within the walls and the photos that fill the walls. If we find ourselves in San Bernardino we will definitely eat here again.\n\nNote, that I didn't notice any vegan options, vegetarian options with the cheese enchiladas which are filling. Also, the menu states no substitutions and they mean it. So don't go in expecting to order a plate of food and change it, you can't. I believe others have complained about this, but we didn't have a problem with it. Sometimes you need to eat the food how it is prepared.“

“We were promptly seated upon our arrival. We were hoping to see the Dodgers on their TV which was missing the remote. Staff did an admirable job trying to get the game on the TV using the manual buttons but could not get the station. All 4 of us were given glasses of water, but the server handled glasses from the top placing her fingers on the brim which is quite unsanitary. As a result, we drank our water using straws. Early on we ordered a side of guacamole which seemed to have been forgotten. We reminded our server again when our food arrived. The food was good. The tamale was hard, but overall, all the food was tasty. I would return again, but please don't handle the drink glasses where people put their mouths. Yuk!“
