Take a look at our favorite Crestline Mexican restaurants.
“I grew up down the hill. Mexican restaurants galore. I had the pleasure of knowing authentic flavors and this place gets it!! Delicious carne Asada! Perfectly grilled nopales! Bomb salsas!!! My only critique or rather suggestion would be if they could add homemade horchata! Otherwise wonderful experiences! I've met a few employees and staff, all of them so sweet! Restaurant is cozy and quaint, pretty quiet but casual! Great for lunch and dinner.“
“Been coming here for years. Food is always delicious and consistent. Service is fast and friendly. Flawless really. American style Mexican food for a good price. Great salsa and chips. Get a house margarita and a taco combo.Thank me later!“
“They've been pretty quick to seat us, but our waiter kept forgetting about us, and we were a party of 7. It's not the first time this has happened. Music is loud, so if you're trying to have a conversation, everyone else is going to hear it. Chips and salsa are good, and the food is too but a little pricey. The view is great, but dress warm if you're planning to sit in the patio.Parking: They have spots in the front and on the side“
“Loved the food at Toni's! We came in for breakfast on a Saturday morning and it was the perfect quiet and cozy environment we were looking for. We ordered the chilaquiles and torta de asada and everything was delicious! We also had a nice view of Lake Gregory which added to the experience. The waitress was very kind and attentive too. Would definitely recommend to anyone passing by Crestline with cravings for Mexican food!“
“Came with a large group and no advanced noticed and the staff was able to get us served with a quickness. The burritos were huge! Food was awesome and staff was super friendly. Might be time to take down the Christmas tree tho haha. Give the place a try if you're in the area.“
“First time at el Rincon pizza. Pizza was good and the wings were big and tasty but not too much of the lemon pepper flavor just a hint for lemon pepper taste, they tasted more like fried chicken. I really hope they add more flavor to their wings. Will I go back? Most definitely! Service was “
“Food was really good. I had the chilaquiles and my husband had the combination plate w the chicken and cheese enchiladas rancheras. I was going to take pictures of our food but it was too late. Our plates were empty ! Limited seating, but the ambiance was good. We were seated right away. They also had piña, Jamaica, and horchata. We will be back for sure. I'm going to try the albondigas next time...“
“We are from Yucatán and my husband accidentally found this wonderful restaurant, this place has the most delicious food you can think of. We got to try a little bit of everything which was amazing. Our server Deli was the sweetest and the owners came out to greet us which was really nice and the place was very clean and they have the cutest napkin holders. We will definitely becoming back and will tell our friends of this beautiful gem!“
“Been going here for years, decades really. Food is always spot on and the people working are always kind and welcoming. Don't let the line stop you. You can call the order in or wait there but the line usually moves pretty fast. Try it out. You're gonna like it.“
“Absolutely 5-Star! Everything was on point. We were in Lake Arrowhead for several meals and this one was definitely the best. They also serve breakfast, so we're coming back for that as well next time. All four people in my dining party were very happy with their food. Cali Burrito. Shrimp Burrito, Chimi-style bean & cheese. They even had a chicken sandwich for our picky eater. Highly recommend!“
“Delicious food and great customer service! I googled restaurants that served "cócteles de camarón." This restaurant came up I was a bit skeptic but gave a try anyway. I ordered to go online and everything was ready when I arrived. The person that helped me was very nice and polite. I asked if everything was in the bag like lemon, saltine crackers and hot sauce. She replied yes but if you like I can give you a couple more! Great customer service! Pricing very reasonable and they are not stingy with the shrimps nor with the octopus. Definitely going back!“
“I've been going here for over a decade and it is my favorite taco shop. It feels like home. Don't let the taco shop fool you, it has much more than just tacos. The Chicken Enchiladas, the Shrimp cocktails, the fish means, rice and beans! Go here and you won't be disappointed. From the budget taco special to the entire menu! Highly recommended!“
“Everything is amazing about the food at this place. Top quality food and consistent quality service. The ambiance is very welcoming. I would encourage anyone to try everything here. I personally love the whole grilled fish, the shrimp tacos, aguachiles, and mixta ceviche . Absolute must try!!!“
“Interesting older area; took huge hits with the base closures of the ‘90s. Looks like one of the last places in the area hanging on. Great food, friendly staff, easy parking and access. Just adjacent to what was Norton Air Base. Got off menu burittos of asada/chirizo. Quite good food, served up quick at a very reasonable price.Kid-friendliness: Their outside seating area was kept clean, with only a single entrance next to where you order. Easy location to allow the kid to run around.“
“First of all we got there almost a closing time and the staff arranged for us to be seated and served allway swith a smile.I thank them for putting up with me and my family. And like allways food was so comforting and delicious.By the way this was Saturday December 30th (how about ending the year) with this delicious food .I hope the staff at Birrierias Guadalajara have a excellent New Year happy 2024.“
“This is a hidden gem!! Decided to try this place on Thursday night and it has definitely become a favorite spot. The location is in deep San Bernardino so there is not a lot going on around the area. They have nice seating area inside as well as a drive-thru! The staff and the guy always working is super kind and gives off such a positive energy. Great service each time. It's been really cold and I wanted some pozole on a random Thursday, luckily they serve it! It was soooo delicious and I had ordered it to-go, they packaged it very carefully with all the condiments for it- it was also still very hot when I got home. I also tried their asada and pastor tacos and they were soooo good - very flavorful and I love the handmade tortillas. I also had the horchata and it was definitely made with love. Each time I've gone it hasn't been super busy, but this is a spot that should be busy!! I've brought family and friends and they all agree it is a delicious hidden gem. Definitely recommend if you're in the area 10/10.“
“I absolutely love this place, their food is amazing. I would come back again and again. They're very fast at getting your food out unless there is a line out the door. If this is the case I'd call ahead, but I absolutely love this place.“
“We had our waitress running ragged with that margarita special doing laundry next door and found a new margarita spot 2 for 15$ and it came with boneless wings for free *Tues-fri great deal very very happy we were the only ones in there but it was very busy and she kept them coming I ordered the strawberry blend my mom had the lime on rocks bomb ? if your looking for a spot here it is but don't blow it up cuz I wanna go back :)“
“Juanito's is a most welcome discovery for delicious Mexican food in the Inland Empire! I live in Redlands and have not been able to find a place that excites me and my wife to get tasty Mexican food! Not only is it yummy, but the prices are very affordable compared to most in the surrounding areas, like Redlands. The street tacos are excellent, the meat burritos are more than satisfying, and the potato tacos are worth the extra food you'll eat by ordering one! Their green salsa is not disappointing, very spicy, and flavorful!“
“They always are attentive to your food needs with great customer service! During lent they offer tortitas de camarón (shrimp patties) con nopales, delicious!!! Regularly I would order their picadillo (love it), chicharron (rojo), carne de albañil, rajas con queso, and mole con arroz... everything is delicious!!! They have homemade aguas too! Recommend this place ?%!!! A must try!!!Kid-friendliness: Arcade right next to restaurant!“
“I found this restaurant on Google, and was not disappointed! My chile verde omelet was slathered with chile verde that had a nice kick to it, though not overwhelming. Other reviews are correct the their salsas are outstanding, very fresh and obviously homemade! Love how they serve the creamy refried beans in a small bowl made of a tortilla. Fun decor with a kitschy Route 66 theme, and great service too!“
“Just went here last night for the first time & I will definitely be coming back. I'm fairly new to the area & have tried a few bars but none of them were like this one. Super clean, decent music, chill crowd, really nice staff & great drinks. Didn't have the chance to try the food because the kitchen was closed upon arrival but I was still able to grab some chips & salsa. & those were really good. Thanks jacks crew!“
“I come here at least once a week. We always order the 1lb of mixed meats. It comes with beans and freshly made corn tortillas and salsa. They give you beans and some mini tostadas as an appetizer. I really love this place. The food quality and taste is consistent. Highly recommend ?“
“Drove past on a Friday night and saw a line of people extending down the block so I had to check it out. Got 3 regular tacos: al pastor, cabeza, chorizo. And one asada queso taco. Al pastor taco: Al pastor is my go to taco meat, and their al pastor on the trompo spit was huge and looked incredible. However, I was a bit let down. It was good, but not incredible. Score: 4 out of 5 Cabeza taco: Cabeza I usually don't get but holy carp was I glad I did. The cabeza was sooooooo soft and tender and tasted amazing. Their cabeza was the best I've had and I will definitely be trying it at more places in the future, thanks to this place. Score: easy 5 out of 5 Chorizo taco: Chorizo I find is often hit or miss. Some places have chorizo that is way too salty. Their chorizo was a bit weird because it tasted a bit sour to me. Not sure if that's normal or a specific type of chorizo? I didn't get sick afterwards so.... I didn't like it though. Score: 2 out of 5 Asada queso taco: I was unsure about the cheese hence why I only ordered one. However, the melted cheese really added a nice flavor to the asada taco and made me wish I had ordered queso on the other tacos as well. Definitely recommended. Score: 4 out of 5 If you find yourself in Eagle Rock, definitely check this place out. The line can get pretty long but it moves pretty quick.“
“Note: I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture of our food. Take that as a sign...it was good. We got there early, so the restaurant was just starting to get busy for breakfast. The smells of the kitchen really hit the appetite. Very small dining area, but warm and cozy. Decor was classically Mexicano. The menu was classic. They do have adult beverages if you are dining a little later in the day, but for me - I decided on a Mexican coke to go with my meal. I had the Chorizzo con Juevo plate and my wife had the Machaca plate. Both meals were delicious and filling. The beef in the Machaca was well seasoned. The refried beans were not your canned refried beans, or at least they did not taste like it. Maybe I was that hungry. The surprise was the salsa. Homemade and delicious. They must have a lot of people asking for it as they do sell it to go. If your on your way up to Arrowhead or Big bear, this little gem is right on the highway where you decide to go left to Arrowhead or straight to Big Bear. If you're hungry it is worth the stop. Hasta Luego!“
“I've lived in this city for 10 yrs and never knew this place was here. Their food is so good. I have nothing negative to say. The ladies are nice and the place is clean. The rice is very good and the Asada has such a good char flavor. My new favorite place! NEVER CHANGE.“
“I recommend all the food because everything is very delicious, and also good and friendly service, I have been visiting this beautiful restaurant for 10 years, and the coffee is also very good, and the Salvadoran breakfast is my favorite but I recommend that you try everything because I assure you that you will want to return soon, because Café Deli el Rancho for me is the best in the area ?“
“Had my plate of enchilada (brunch) a couple of days ago. Delicious beef, rice and beans still fresh on my pallet (much better than others I've tried). So is the menudo my wife ordered. One of the best if not the best I've tried in a while. Very comfortable at home feeling eating a meal. Staff were nice and warm. Often come around and checked on us. Much appreciated. Looking forward to try more entries on the menu.“
“I've been coming here for decades. Why? Food is great. This place has a long tradition. Bought corn & flour tortillas, banuelos and crispy pork belly. LOVE the PORK BELLY in a corn tortilla and salsa. Thanks to the new ownership for keeping up the Quatro Milpas tradition.“
“Stuck in Highlands because Big Bear is off limits? Forget about buying snow chains for your wheels, get on down to Mi Cocina for some top notch Mexican meals. The moment you walk through the doors of this beige palace you'll know you're home. I have a feeling Mi Cocina means "my kitchen" in Spanish, but if I had a second guess, I say it for sure means happiness. This place is a gem. The vibes? Stunning. The margaritas sizes? Stunningly large. The live band? Playing a Spanish rendition of Margaritaville, yes that's right, stunning. If you think you've experienced happiness in your life then just stop lying to yourself and get on down here.Show me a place where they hand make the hot sauce upon request and I'll let name my first born. Luiz is known to please. So, if you've been out in the cold for a while, this Mexican kitchen will put a smile on your dial. Mi Cocina, I've never been keener.10/10“
“I went to the drive through and ordered a green pork burrito and was pleasantly surprised when they got my order wrong, they replaced my order with a rellenos burrito and it was delicious, I had no idea they made a rellenos burrito, I will be ordering them in the future.“
“First time here ordered the menudo which was bomb it was clean and melted in your mouth also ordered the chilaquiles plate red sauce & bistec plate food was delicious great flavor our waitress Elizabeth was awesome very polite all staff was great! Highly recommend it’s a little hole in the wall those usually are the best!“
“They have breakfast burritos on special before 11am everyday. I eat breakfast here at least once every weekend and get the normal stuff burritos, tacos, and loaded fries. My wife really enjoys their Birria.Parking: Normally plenty of parking, but fills up quickly when teams or work crews show up for lunch.Kid-friendliness: No kids meals, but plenty of simple foods like hard tacos with meat and cheese, or just French fries.“
“The two gentleman working there today (3/7/24) were awesome. Super nice demeanor, on top of answering questions- offered a sample of a meat when I asked about the flavor. Quickly worked to get me 5 burritos and chips in a quick manner and very polite. The burritos are amazing! Huge with tons of flavor! Thanks guys!“
“Delicious, really good Mexican food. The tortas are bomb! And if you dine in they give you complimentary fresh tortillas chips and salsa. The staff is very friendly too! If you’re hungry I definitely recommend trying this place you won’t be disappointed.“
“My new go-to for tacos and burritos. Very flavorful meet and the corn tortilla is excellent. It is a Must TRY. If you're not used to spicy food, just be aware that seasoning may be spicy. It is not overwhelmingly spicy but there is a kick. The green and red sauce are flavorful.“
“I really enjoy Mitla cafe. Their food is delicious, I love their albondiga soups and shredded beef tacos. My family and I dine here often, we try our best to come during the week day, when there isn't a wait, when there isn't that many people dining in, we get better service. If you go on the weekend, it's packed and there's a lot of people coming in and out. Service is a bit slower on the weekends, with food coming out staggered and not all at once and refills taking a bit longer than expected. So go on the weekdays!! They offer lunch special, their food is always delicious.“
“Service was excellent. Food was hot and quickly served.Thier handed down recipes were a bit different than the recipes that were handed down to me. The atmosphere was fun and lively. But very loud. It was a Sunday that we were there, and that was when they serve. "All you can eat and drink buffet." Crowds of people were there, and it was very noisy.Wheelchair accessibility: I rode my scooter in the restaurant and was easily seated. I used the scooter when I went to the restaurant on my own and easily did my busines.“
“Stopped here with my daughter after soccer tournament in search of some carne asada fries! We ordered some tacos, fries, and horchata. Fries were DELICIOUS! They do not use nacho cheese, which is important to us, and they also load em up with beans and rice + all the trimmings. Meat was flavored amazing! Horchata must've been freshly made because it was soooo tasty. Authenticity at its finest here, plus the staff was so kind and friendly. Highly, highly recommend to stop here if you are in the area.“
“Parking: Good parking availableKid-friendliness: Best birria place I’ve tasted so far the birria de Chivo was delicious ! They played a kids movie for my son so he could calm down which was amazing and thoughtful ! Totally recommend this place 10/10“
“Food taste so AMAZING both times I visited. I had the Cali fries 1st the portion was big. 2nd time he had the Birria tacos we also tried grilled shell hard steak and chicken tacos. Everything was flavored perfect also nice portions. Service was great. Nice and clean place. I already shared our experience with a few people. Me and my honey will return. I highly recommend this place if you are tired of skimpy portions and tasteless food.. THIS PLACE IS A MUST TRY...“
“Food was solid and really held us over during a cabin trip. Good cost, good quality, nice venue. Friendly staff, with solidly built kitchen, a little noisy since theirs no sound insulation between the kitchen and indoor seating area. Having said that, during nicer weather, the outdoor seating looks picturesque. Not my local, but I'd frequent regularly if at all possible.“
“Mitla Cafe has been on our list for a very long time. Over the years we have seen celebrity chefs eat here, and review it. We have done Route 66 and never have hit the restaurant when we could stop and eat, so on the way back from Joshua Tree National Park and a little bit of a detour, we made time to have lunch. So glad we finally got to eat here. The restaurant has been open in this location since the 1930's and is a gem in San Bernardino. We were seated right away, our server came over immediately and brought water, chips and salsa. The first basket of chips is complimentary, but you will pay $2.99 for a second basket, which I don't have a problem with. We both decided on our dishes. I went with a shredded beef taco, and Mr. B had the two enchilada plate with a shredded beef taco. The taco shell was crispy, filled with tender shredded beef, fresh crispy lettuce and lots of cheese. Sounds basic I know, but it really had an authentic taste to the dish. I did snag a couple of bites of one of the cheese enchiladas filling Mr. B's plate and they were amazing. He loved his plate, again the taco was filled to the brim, the two cheese enchiladas were filled with perfectly melted cheese and a unique and flavorful red sauce. They were not the flat enchiladas many Mexican restaurants serve, these were full of cheese and so good. The plate did not have rice and beans, which was great too. The plate was filling enough. We found street parking which was nice. The food was excellent, service great, and you feel the history within the walls and the photos that fill the walls. If we find ourselves in San Bernardino we will definitely eat here again. Note, that I didn't notice any vegan options, vegetarian options with the cheese enchiladas which are filling. Also, the menu states no substitutions and they mean it. So don't go in expecting to order a plate of food and change it, you can't. I believe others have complained about this, but we didn't have a problem with it. Sometimes you need to eat the food how it is prepared.“
“We went to Big Bear but we didn't go up much anymore due to so much fog and on the way back we went to that taqueria with the agaves, the tacos were very delicious and we even thought about returning even though it is far away, it is recommended in San “
“You must try this spot. The Quesa Birria Tacos are amazing. Super juicy and real cheese. The birria is soft and tender.I also got an Asada Burrito. Just the best tender meat and ingredients imaginable. Super inpressed by this spot. A gem for sure.“
“First time at this restaurant; its a decent place to eat. Tacos had perfect amount of meat, the meat does have good flavor but the tortillas are dry tasting. The mulita is a medium taco tortilla and is more as a quesadilla but overall good taste. Salsas are more on the sweeter side than spicy. What i did love was the grilled onions with jalapeños made up for the lack of spiciness on the package Salsas. They do have self serve horchata and Jamaica which is a plus. The dinning area is spacious and clean, restroom needs work. The service was courteous and cooks are fast. I can't say the food is 100 percent mexican in my opinion felt a bit american. Some what fast-food mex-american. Overall we had a fast pleasant and filling lunch. Would return if I'm in the area.“
“We came to San Bernardino for a soccer tournament and we came to eat here, we called in advance to see if they would accommodate 20 people and they said yes. When we got there they were setting up tables outside so we can eat all together! Despite being 20 of us they got our drinks and food out in a timely manner. We were all very satisfied with the meals we chose. Not only were they super accommodating they also gave us free appetizers!“
“This place was so good !! Went there after we went to the McDonald's Museum ; looked at the reviews ; and they were not wrong !! My soon it's a very picky eater ; and he said he will be it a 10 !! We all loved what we order !! Wish we lived closer !! You won't regret to eat here !“
“I was looking for a place that had quesa Birria tacos and found this location on Yelp decided to give it a try. Restaurant is ran by a husband and wife. Wife was very welcoming and offered suggestions. We were not disappointed. Ordered the quesa Birria tacos and potato tacos. Both were made fresh with good flavor. Quesa Birria tacos included consome. Location is tiny but they offer outdoor seating. Parking is located at the back of restaurant. Also keep in mind location is cash only! Will be back in future to try other items.“
“If you’re looking for some GOOD Mexican food, then this is the spot!I promise you, don’t waste your time with these Mexican restaurants up here, not only are they overpriced, but they’re old and for the most part they’re all ran the same way, so of course the food tastes the same… BLAND!I hope this places doesn’t change the way they do things to acquire to certain people because the food is bomb and worth trying.“
