“5 stars for the price. I wanted soup, she wanted sushi, and we live eastside so we didn’t want to enter town to a place with $17 dishes and tip. so this is a nice local gem. it is worth noting though: the sushi rice is not seasoned with vinegar/mirin/sugar/salt like expected— just white rice. it’s understandably labor intensive though. still tasted good.“

“One of the last old schinese american Hole in the walls left in this modern high-tech world.
I highly recommend the Mongolian beef lunch special, which is sure of all day into the evening. You can't beat the taty traditional American breakfast. Everything from hash brown's to pancakes, omelets,Spam and rice all reasonably priced portions are are big hot and tasty. Thank you.
Far East. Please don't change the thing.Walking in here.Walking into your restaurant is like walking into the late 1960s“

“For the price it’s good but you pay for what you get, I lowkey had a jaw workout since it’s buffet style the food kinda gets a bit stale in a way, I got take out but I ate inside for a bit which they were kind enough to let me, but the walnut shrimp wasn’t saucy enough the flavor was there but it’s still great for the price, because they give big portions. Other than that for the price you can’t beat it.“

“20+ years ago I departed the Bay Area to join the army and travel the world. I also departed with a set standard for how chinese food should taste! Imagine the tragedy of constant lack luster chinese food no matter the city, state or country! For over 20 years I was constantly disappointed in the so called chinese food wherever I traveled. It was truly an amazing surprise to finally come home and the very first chinese restaurant I try is a perfect example of my childhood memories filled with pork fried rice, Kung poa chicken and pot stickers! I can really feel as if I've returned home. I only wish I had a bigger stomach to try all my old favorites like foil wrapped chicken, hot and sour soup and many many more! A big thanks to this chinese hot spot that I will be claiming as my go to for excellent chinese cuisine!“

“Visited at opening 11:00a.m. on a weekday, and we were the first ones in. I was surprised to see that the business name was changed to M Kitchen Buffet. I tried to ask the worker about the name change, but I wasn't able toneffectively communicate with them. The cost for dine-in buffet is $9.95 per person. They have about 7 booth tables that can fit up to 4 people. The place is casual, and seems to cater a lot of people who work in the area, and are looking for good Chinese food at a wallet-friendly price. 1-item starts at $6.95, and a 2-item is $7.95. From what I recall, rice or noodles are considered 1 item, so be aware a protein and rice or noodles is a 2-item selection. The food was fresh and hot at opening. I prefer the fried chicken, orange chicken, mixed vegetables, chow mein, and fried rice.If you're in the area, give it a shot. I was expecting Sherman's Buffet, but it wasn't. My guess is that someone who worked at Sherman's Buffet wanted to own a store, bought it, and changed the name. It tastes pretty muvh the same, and the menu & concept is the same. I prefer the Sherman's off of Pershing, but this restaurant is a good place to dine in or get takeout. Ty ?“

“People were nice. So Much Food! Everything So reasonably priced. Been trying to find more places like this that specialize in quick, delicious, Chinese fast food to grab for a good deal and a well worth it quantity. I'll be going back for more vegetable spring rolls for sure. I do wish they had a fried rice without meat. I love rice but, I got the vegetable chow mein that has stir fry cabbage throughout it. The tempura is nice too. A pop of salt on crisp green beans & carrots battered & fried. I should have taken more photos of the food. They had spicy chicken, sweet & sour pork, orange chicken, beef & broccoli, and many more dishes to choose from. I don't eat all of those varieties anymore but it's great to know this place exists. I just wanted to check it out and treat my family to something decent.. I will get my son & daughter's full opinion on the food items they tried. They had a 4 item piled high for less than $10. One item was shrimp with the tails on and I'm sure they didn't count each shrimp and charge extra money like the other fast food Chinese chains like panda express. Sorry but, I have to call it like I see it. My food was cool. I heard that there's also free drink refills for those that choose to dine in. I'm sure my family enjoyed their food items they all looked good. I'll add more pictures and details on my next trip.

“This could easily have been a 1 star rating. The staff were completely overwhelmed. The restaurant was filled to the brim with people. I must have waited in the line for at least 20 minutes. So, why the 5 star rating? I could tell they were short staffed. They could have let their frustrations get the best of them and quit trying, but I saw something beyond inspirational. They all pulled together to support one another and the whole thing was like a wonderful symphony. Was everything perfect? Absolutely fn not, but as my partner said,”It was art!” …. Crazy Disorganized Lovely Beautiful Harmonious Art! Thank you so much for your efforts today. We appreciated everything you did to pull through. 🥰🤓🫠“

“Is it good Chinese food? No, not really, it's just okay. But! For less than the price of an order of egg rolls anywhere else you can get as much okay Chinese food as you could ever want to eat, and that's worth a five star review on its own“

“It's a buffet so service is as expected. The food is good enough. Not exceptional. And the place is clean but older. No frills or attempt at ambiance. But it's the food not the decor you're there for. Order to go and the portions are generous. The soda fountain is notable. The right carbonation and syrup concentration to make an excellent drink. Not to heavy and not watered down.“

“I found this place about 1 year ago. I get the same 4 dishes everytime. The garlic fried chicken is so good. The only thing better is the salt and pepper wings. Definitely my go to dishes. You can have meat without fried rice and chow mein. The rice and noodles are decent but the chicken is absolutely amazing“

“Cash only! I was served by a young man in a gray shirt, and he had a good sense of humor and was nice to us. The bald guy with darker skin who brought out our food was great, too! Definitely coming back. I highly recommend their combo chow fun and chow mein.“

“Awesome little place on the Miracle Mile, fast friendly service with delicious food. I had the wieners and rice with brown onion gravy, my wife had the corned beef hash. First time I’ve been here, my wife has been going since she was a kid.“

“China express is good for what it is… a fast food Chinese takeout. Prices are reasonable. Food is pretty good.. Friendly employees. Big portions!A two item dinner with chow mein or rice would be enough for two people. Just don’t go too late after the dinner hour because they start cutting down on the selection and they don’t cook as much.Tonight I had a two item dinner which consists of chow mein (or fried rice) and for my two items I chose chicken…four legs.I also purchased a chicken salad which is good. Comes with tangy dressing and plenty of chicken.Very efficient employees. A special shout out to Regina. She always takes good care of me. She has worked there forever.“

“Food was good and the employees were nice. We did feel a little rushed for moderate business, there only like 2 people in line, but it’s whatever. More importantly the food was good and tasted relatively fresh. The Bathrooms were dirty though but the dining room was good. Overall good experience, but could’ve been better“

“Me, my wife and my sister decided to try this place out since it's so close to where we live and I got to say it wasn't that bad, the price and portions were really good, you can dine in and takeout if you want. Food was tasty, they have this hot sauce that you can use and it was delicious. Overall you can't beat the price and portions, if you want a place that is affordable and fulls you this is the play to go ??.“

“I was there half an hour before closing. I wanted my items to go. Just a large beef Pho combo. And spring rolls with peanut sauce. The pho came with all its trimming and their jalapenos had a kick to them. They were fresh vegetables! Bean sprouts were fresh too. The cashier who took my order was friendly. I will def be coming back“

“After many years wanting to try Panda I finally did. I was pleased with the portions it was well worth the price. The food was good and to my surprise they had a couple of dishes my diabetic self felt comfortable eating without too much guilt. The staff was patient with my ignorance in how it all worked and answered all my questions nicely.
Vegetarian options: They had a couple of dishes that were vegetarian and my son (the vegetarian in the family.) enjoys them.“

“Classic stop when you want quick Chinese. Orange Chicken and Chow Mein never miss, but sometimes the food sits a little too long under heat lamps. Staff is cool, portions are fair, and drive-thru helps on the go. A regular stop on my way home.“

“I loved the food!!! It was delicious!!! I would definitely go again!
Update: Just updating my rating, but food is still good. The fried sushi burrito is still okay! but it is pretty oily. If you drop something so big and cold in the deep fryer, it is going to drop the temperature of the oil too quickly and take longer to get crispy, making it soak up more oil. If they had a better frying technique, it would be much better! Also, they are really popular so be prepared to wait a long while during their peak hours.“

“I have not been here for several years. It's was much better than expected. I had Kung Pao Chicken and Won Ton Soup. The fresh ingredients and fantastic sauce made it. Staff was friendly. I truly enjoyed the food and will return. If you enjoy great Chinese food, this place is worth a try. Prices are fair, especially for what you're getting. Recommend.“
