“I was kind of craving a hot dog and since I was leaving lowe's and I always see this place.I Thought, you know what I'll stop by.
Ordered one chili cheese hot dog. I'll tell you.It was a good hot dog.The bread was nice and soft and toasted. The hot dog cut in the middle, nice toppings. Had it with the bottle coke, it became my dinner really quick.
Maybe next I'll try the pastrami one day.
Good place for a quick bite, I enjoyed the weather as well.“

“I was told this place was good by a group of friends. I was invited to a Torta with Carne Asada and was very impressed by the quality. It's very authentic food , flavor packed Mexican food a 2am hits different.
I definitely want to go back!
The area is a little tight and parking isint the best and it is a little sketchy at night around there“
“They have beef, pork, chicken, pork skins, chorizo and hotdogs. They don't shortchange the stuffings (whether it's nachos, tacos or burritos).Complimentary salad (cucumber, onion, radish etc) I think is free for any customer who orders there. The guy who's in charge of hotdogs, nachos should be given an award for best customer service. He makes sure that customers get what they want specially for non-spanish speaking customers. Kudos to you sir!Must try: Mixed Tacos, Burritos and Nachos (freshly fried)“

“Not even gonna lie. Some of the best tacos I've had here. The chicken wasn't pretty but it was dang sure good. It was for sure up to par with the pork. The pork was that crispy cook too, but they could cook it how u like. Where im for sure sold is that the tacos are cheap. I've noticed the price rise over the years. Another plus goes to the location. I believe if they aren't there, or right next to them this dude makes these mash potato meat and veggie bowls in the potato. Im telling you, you really have to check out the food on the street. Both the tacos and the potatoes. Last thing, they weren't those little tacos either. Nah, these tacos got gains. Please don't miss out.“
“I’ve been dying to try these haunt dogs since I came across them on Instagram! I finally located the frankenstand this last weekend ! It was definitely well worth the wait ! The toppings were delicious! Not only was the food amazing but the ambience of his stand gave it some spooky vibes which I absolutely love !!! The crazy part is, I’m not even vegan, and I would choose these forever snd ever. My friends were also very pleased with their dogs as well. They even bought some to go for later ! They also loved the vibes and Ray was freakn awesome to talk to ! I’ll definitely stalk his next location and be back for more !!!! The entire experience was absolutely perfect !!!“

“Love the food here. The tacos are excellent and the quesadillas are phenomenal. The owners are super friendly, attentive, and the prices are fair. If you see their tent, run right to em and get a quesadilla stat!! Their barbacoa is some of the best I've ever had.“

“Good tacos and they stack it with meat!! All hand made tortillas. I got nothing but Al Pastor the meat was good. I tried their Sope it was giant for $5 and a quesadilla ($10) which was stacked. Definitely be coming back nice hard working people. I paid with cash not sure if they take card.
Update: they take zelle and queso tacos are 🤘🏽👌🏽“

“the food was 👍 num uno 1# great!!!“
“For me, the menu highlights are the grilled meats, jambalaya, gumbo. I saw how the Pit-master grilled the meats. He was very clear about no shortcuts or rushing the process. The jambalaya and gumbo were the best items I ordered today (11/11). I will definitely order these again. They were the best I ever tasted. Perfectly seasoned with high-quality meats, and very good. It’s the best I’ve ever tasted. I’ve only had commercialized gumbo and jambalaya at chain restaurants.I didn’t order any grilled meats. I anticipate the grilled meats being tasty because I tasted some of the meat in my gumbo and jambalaya at it was good and cooked to perfection. The sides were disappointing and I will not order again:Mac and Cheese:A little dry. Too much salt, too much unmelted cheese. Lacked a creamy inside. The bottom and top were just globs of unmelted cheese. Will not order again.Collard Greens:Tasted bland as if from a can. Mixed with spinach and mainly tasted like spinach. Will not order again. I added the greens to my gumbo so I didn’t waste them. Let’s be clear, the greens weren’t horrible. I grew up picking and eating freshly picked collards so I have high standards for greens.Red Beans & Rice:Beans were cold and tasted like they were from a can. Not the Louisiana red beans and rice I was expecting at all. Rice was undercooked with a slight crunch. I added the rice to my gumbo when I reheated it on the stove. I will figure out what to do with the beans.Customer service was good. The lady was very attentive and went above and beyond to ensure every customer was taken care of. She even gave out peanut butter cookies while we waited. Bring your patience as this is a small-scale (lean) food-service establishment.I spent $30 for 2 half orders of gumbo and jambalaya ($10 each), and 3 sides. I probably could have saved a few dollars if I ordered a veggie plate. It was a little pricey for the portion sizes. I charge it to the gumbo and jambalaya which was $10 each and served in 8oz containers. I usually pay $8 for 12oz or 16oz of soup.On a positive note, I got to sample the menu. I know what I like and don’t like. I don’t expect to like every menu item at any restaurant. Bottomline, I will go again.“

“When I tell you this place giving Benihana a run for there money they are ?????? I personally feel they are better then Benihana period !!! You have to try for yourself but this is my new favorite spot ?? They will have a restaurant soon I know it cause the food speaks for itself ❤️???????????“
“Whoever gives this place 1 star is crazy. This is probably the best Mexican food I’ve had in LA! And regarding service, all I can say is that the food is worth whatever service you get. Also, when I went, the service wasn’t bad. It was not kind and warm and reassuring but it was good enough to order and get my food. This is a hidden GEM!“

“I really like Hugo’s. They have tons of vegan options- tacos, burritos , all sorts. All real menu items not just awkward swaps. They are always quick, friendly and not pricey. If you’re local and need your hit of tacos, it’s a great spot. You sit outside, (no alcohol options sadly) have your tacos and are on your way - Just your local taco shack that happens to be very vegan friendly. I don’t really understand any criticisms on some reviews , it’s a large vegan menu and there is nowhere else like this for maybe 20-30 mins in any direction. Locals are lucky to have. Updated from previous review on 2026-05-11“
