“What a Great Find! First time there and Junior took time to explain the whole menu to us. He also prepared the Delicious meal! We tried the chicken kabob, Shawarama, rice, Mediterranean salad, and hummus with pita bread. Fantastic meal!!! We also watched him prepare a Wrap which was Huge. We definitely be back!!! This great little place is located in the CVS shopping center on Hollywood Way and Verdugo.“

“Stopped in here today and glad we did. This is a very comfortable open air patio restaurant with outstanding food.

My wife had the chicken kabob plate and I had the beef plate. They were very tasty. Even the rice was very flavorful. My favorite was the beef shish kabob. It was tender with really good flavor.

“I've been twice now, and each time the cashier has been very helpful and kind, while I figured out what I wanted. The place is very clean, the food is fresh and tasty, but there's no mistaking it's a fast food kebab joint. The side salad on the plate was really nice, the saffron rice was kind of hard, and the chicken was a little dry. But the yogurt sauce definitely helps there. I also got a side of tabbouleh which was good if not great. There's a big parking lot that's part of the shopping center.“

“Came on a Saturday to enjoy Mediterranean BBQ. Staff was amicable, a little slow in serving and taking orders and came to our table with someone else's order. I would highly recommend they do a number system (assign table number to customers for staff to reduce confusion). It was decent food, spices and grilled veggies were good. Chicken was a little thick and hard to cook all the way through those meats. Steak was a bit dry. Seasoned fries and hummus, Pita bread was good. Ambiance was settle, no music or noises. A little pricy but portions are good. Clean establishment. Parking can be a little tight in the parking lot.“

“Have you ever entered a business and immediately feel like you just walked into your home where family is waiting to greet you? That was the very feeling I had when I stopped by the NoHo Cafe today. I knew the food was good as I used the delivery service before. Today I decided to visit the Cafe and I promise I’ll continue going frequently. The food is delicious but what won me over was the welcome and love you experience when you walk in the door. The staff is amazing... the Cafe has a very “welcome home” atmosphere. The complimentary cup of soup is AWESOME. I sat at a corner table allowing me to do what I love...watch people. As I enjoyed my delicious first meal of 2020 I watched as every person who entered was treated with care and joy. Just like being home the staff will keep checking to see if the food is ok and if you need anything. The NoHo Cafe is a place I recommend to anyone wishing to enjoy a good meal and to experience a “welcome home” feeling. Honestly with the state of the world, most natural disasters won't get me out of bed, but I will now actually set my alarm just to stop in for a loaded gyro and some hummus and pita. Super easy casual spot, I want to start going through their list of sandos after how perfectly balanced and filling their gyro was, but honestly it's going to be hard not to keep ordering this every time. Super fresh, garlicky hummus, great portions for the price on everything, and a quick easy lunch that doesn't break your wallet.

What else can you ask for? Don't sleep on this place as long as I did, and support every local business you can right now. I got a super fresh, filling, quick meal for less than I'd spend at McDonalds, and I'll probably be back here once a week“

“Some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve ever had. I ordered the Hummus and Falafel Plate (vegetarian) and the whole plate was a beautiful presentation with amazing flatbread and falafel. The service was decent for LA. The ambiance is an amazing outdoor seating venue that is very picturesque. We ate here around 11am when they opened on a Friday. It started getting packed around 12pm. Definitely recommend this place.

“If I could give this place 10 stars I would. My husband and I love trying new places. We found this place on the hunt for the best khinkalis. We visited the actual store front first. The woman helping us could not have been more helpful, patient, and kind. I do sometimes look a bit Armenian which leads people to assume I can speak Armenian or Russian which is always a good laugh. She made excellent suggestions and gave us a very accurate timeframe of how long it would take to prepare. Since then we have ordered via UberEats 2x more and each time things were EXPERTLY packaged - literally the nicest to-go bag and perfectly portioned condiments. We were blown away. The food itself is so flavorful and the ingredients are high quality and you can tell they take pride in what they do.“

“Gladys is a gem. Friendly, welcoming, sweet. She took my order and as always efficient. When I went in to pick up my meal, which has been a very regular occurrence, she was on a break. I asked the young lady taking my money to thrown in some pickled as I always do. She was staring at the register and after a time I asked if I could swipe my card. She explained that the pickles had charged when only with a bowl. I mentioned that it’s never been mentioned and said she would speak to Gladys about that. That is NOT what you tell a customer when you can’t figure out how to enter it and make them wait. I asked to speak with a manager and she proudly announced that she was one of the ones in charge. She proceeded to further explain about the charge, but she would give me one this time. It’s not the money, but a friendly welcome with a smile would have been preferred. Every other employee is fabulous, but I suggest that this person gets advised on customer service. There are other establishments with food and for that matter other Zankou’s. Here’s to Gladys for doing a great job!“

I got the schnitzel plate and it was a very generous portion (more on the pricey side but you do get a lot). I picked my side and got the rice, that was good. You also get a pita.
I really like the meat, the hummus was great. Overall, it was great.

We also got some fries and the mushrooms. The fries unfortunately were a bit soggy but that’s to be expected when ordering - if you don’t eat right away - but still tasty.
The mushrooms - there could be mixed feelings but I love seasoned mushrooms and they had a great one! Very interesting, but I really liked it!“

“After the 4th restaurant in Tujunga failed to make good Shawarma, I thought I would have to drive all the way to Glendale for the only good Shawarma I know, that I get from a food truck. I didn't know Shawarma House existed until today. The dine in place is nice and spacious, the service was kind, and for the first time in Tujunga that I know of, this a restaurant that didn't serve dry wraps with no garnishes.“
