“Went here because I saw there were good reviews and there is a good reason. I tried the Tri Tip, Chicken shawarma and chicken breast. All three excellent. I'd say Trip Tip was the best of the three. Also, grabbed a baklava and it was one of the best I've had.“

“The perfect meal to break my daily intermittent keto fast. I eat the salad bowls, sub grilled veg for the hummus and I'm relatively carb free. Carbs from the plants but no processed or concentrated carbs from sugar, seeds or beans. Fresh flavorful ingredients, rich flavors and very satisfying. Nice self serve sauce bar with seasoned yogurt, a dill ranch and good hot sauce similar to a mild harissa. Fills me up, satisfies me and then start the timer on the next 24 hrs.“

There was a baby grand piano playing soft music in the background, and gazing into each other's eyes holding hands across the table. Now the good part. The food was classic Armenian Kbobs, rice, wonderful grilled meats and veggies, delicious hummus. The lamb lollipops were to die for. They don't serve alcohol so you can stop across the street and bring your own bottle of wine or beer. Give these folks a try and you will want to come back again and again.“

“I had my family at The Grill Stories Restaurant yesterday Feb. 28, 2026 There were 6 of us and the food was amazingly delicious we had two big family platers and extra sides , my daughter needs gluten free so she had the Mediterranean salad alone separately she said it was fantastic. The outside dining was very comfortable and cozy , it was a beautiful 85° weather . The round lady hostess and other people there were very friendly and welcoming . After we stuffed ourselves there was still plenty of food to pack and take home . Ultimately it was a great experience and with all the food it was approximately $35 per person including tax and tip, for most people it would be less because we ordered a lot of delicious food. One negative to note were the drinks: my latte was not satisfying - too small (~12oz.), not enough milk (too much foam for a latte) and per my request for extra steamed milk they offered two Coffeemate creamer pods - all while it set me back $10.40+tax; a 0.5 litter (16.9oz.) bottle of Pellegrino was $4.16+tax.“

Lived walking distance from this place for a few years over 10 years ago and I'm so happy and not surprised it's still making the best sandwiches in town. All the reviews are correct. “Saw this place many times driving by, finally stopped in.

Parking was really tough. Might be because of the Farmers Market across the street and Sunday, but still not easy.

Ordered the Lamb Plate ($26). Good size and actually pretty interesting — lots of sides like flatbread, greens, olives, pickled turnips, etc. Not boring at all. But the lamb itself was only a few small pieces and it was ground. Personally, I’d rather have more actual meat and less variety on the plate.

Also got the rosemary lemonade, but honestly didn’t taste any rosemary at all. Just a regular lemonade, a bit sweet and sour.

You pay upfront after ordering, which felt a bit unusual.

We sat outside on a small patio right by the road. It’s okay, but pretty tight, and there was a lot going on around (some lady was walking between tables) — not the most relaxing setup.

Staff was friendly and service was fast.

No public restroom, so just keep that in mind.

Overall not bad. I was hungry, so everything went down quick, but I’m not sure I’d go out of my way to come back.“

“Kabab Way in Glendale is absolutely incredible! Their kababs are packed with flavor and cooked to perfection — truly some of the best I’ve had. The chicken is juicy and delicious, the grilled tomatoes are perfectly charred, and the rice is fluffy and full of aroma. Everything is consistently fresh and tasty. “After the 4th restaurant in Tujunga failed to make good Shawarma, I thought I would have to drive all the way to Glendale for the only good Shawarma I know, that I get from a food truck. I didn't know Shawarma House existed until today. The dine in place is nice and spacious, the service was kind, and for the first time in Tujunga that I know of, this a restaurant that didn't serve dry wraps with no garnishes.“
