Mariscos El Viejito is a great spot if you’re craving authentic Mexican seafood. The aguachiles and ceviche are fresh and full of flavor, and the portions are generous. The micheladas are also on point. The place can get busy, especially on weekends, and the music is loud, but it adds to the fun vibe. Service can be a bit slow at times, but the staff is friendly. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the mood for mariscos!“

“Very interesting place. Diner-style Mexican joint. I grabbed a prawn burrito, and it was humongous.
Washed it down with Modelo Negra, which is my favourite beer when I am visiting LA. This time though the waitress Lorena brought it with a lime, which I have never seen before (!). And it works amazingly well! I ordered a 2nd bottle, and it's still on the table. Gonna enjoy it (!) when I'm done with this.
ATM I am the only customer, it's Sunday, maybe that is why. The ladies laugh their guys out in the backround. The atmosphere is great. Something tells me it's even better when the place is full.

I got full enough. With home made corn tortillas. Also delicious Flor de Calabasa and huitlacoche con queso y crema quesadillas. Clean place recommended.“

“I come here about three times a week before starting my shift at work (1pm), and I have no complaints about the food or staff, but someone needs to fix how they constructed the parking spaces and drive-thru. During lunch, there's a line for the drive-thru (which is fine. That's what a drive-thru is for), but the line blocks the customers parked in their parking space trying to get out. I paid for my food in the drive-thru lane, but then I couldn't get out due to the horrible placement of this drive-thru.

9/23/24 update: 9 years later, I returned, and I am happy they solved their drive-thru dilemma. Their food is still cooked to perfection and delicious, and their customer service is still excellent. I will be coming here more often.“

“This is a small place. It has seven 2 person tables. However, the food and the service are excellent!! It is a mixture of Mexican, Salvadoran and American food. I've been here twice and hope to visit more often. Today, I had 2 cheese & jalapeño pupusas and a chicken burrito along with a soda. All I can say is Mmmmmm!!!

“A small little hole in the wall place located in a strip mall which I had no expectations of besides getting something to eat while I was waiting at another business close by. I decided on getting the California burrito with asada as the meat and it had avocado, sour cream, rice, and beans. I can’t say that anything really stood out besides it was a giant burrito and as far as flavor goes it was pretty good since I could taste everything in it and none of the ingredients stood more than the others. Sorry no pictures of the burrito but one of an asada quesadilla I got another time. Quesadilla was good and loaded with asada and cheese and was a pretty decent size.“

All theses times that I've passed this place, I thought it was a very small place but when I went inside. This place is huge!!! The 1 thing I don't like is the entrance & exit, very small & dangerous for big vehicles or not experienced drivers. So watch out.“

“Not a nice looking place and in an industrial area. The food here is delicious! I mainly order breakfast. Must try the bacon breakfast burrito! With the red salsa and maybe even some ranch. I get my egg over easy because I love that runny yolk on all my potatoes bacon yummy breakfast burrito ? ? also another fave from here is the grilled cheese sandwich! Its so simple yet so good. Try the French toast breakfast comes with loads of toast eggs and bacon or half and half bacon and sausage. I usually split that plate since its very well stuffed! And the prices are great here! I wish more places were around the same price range especially when they give so much food! It does get packed and or busy. Alot of delivery and pick up orders im sure also. Lately I will order over the phone or for delivery thru 3rd party. Just so I dont have to go wait, dont get me wrong its worth the wait! Everything is so tasty here! Come and try the fresh fairly priced delicious food!“

“They have the best gorditas around! It’s been a min since I’ve been back. Arrived on a Monday late afternoon and no one was there. Oh yes, call ahead if you want to order the gorditas. Like I mentioned previously they make it from scratch so it takes some time. The lady on the phone said my to go order would take 20 mins. Decided to eat it there and my heart melt! The salsa is bomb, the food is bussin, come support small businesses!

“This hidden gem is easy to miss if you go past the liquor store, but it's worth seeking out. The ladies who work there are incredibly welcoming and helpful, and they took the time to answer all of my questions about the menu. I ordered the mangonada and the esquite, and both were delicious. The mangonada was perfectly refreshing on a hot day, and the fresh mango bits were a delight. I'll definitely be back to try more of their offerings soon!“
