Stopped by as I waited for a car repair. Server brings chips and salsa right away.

I had two Marlin empanadas and 1 marlin taco. $10.49 + 9.5% = $11.49 plus tip.

I thought I’d get one more taco but was satisfied with 1. Very good meat. Served hot.

Live band went around offering performances for pay as we ate.

Good food. Good service. Reasonable prices. Will be back for next car repair.“

“It was date-nite for my wife and I, so we decided to try a new place. We stopped at Candilejas to give it a try, and we were pleasantly surprised. You wouldn't give the building much importance from the outside, and it's sort of in a funny area for a restaurant. When I entered, I got the family-owned restaurant vibe...small, simple, spartan. The server that helped us was very polite and explained some of the dishes we had questions about. In the end, we ended up getting the "Torre" and the Ceviche de camarones", they were both awesome, super tender, and fresh-tasting. We had to leave early to pick up my son so we didn't finish the "Torre". You should definitely try this place if you like mariscos! (Seafood)

Parking: Free parking not too busy

Wheelchair accessibility: My only complaint would be that it is NOT accessible with a wheelchair, there is a ramp for wheelchairs and a parking spot for the disabled but the door literally obstructs access from the ramp, my wife needed to stand up and walk a few steps to get passed the door, but not everyone can do that. The other option would be to have somebody haul you up the steps, and that too can not be performed by everyone. This problem could easily be solved by making the door swing towards the inside instead of opening outwards.“

“A small little hole in the wall place located in a strip mall which I had no expectations of besides getting something to eat while I was waiting at another business close by. I decided on getting the California burrito with asada as the meat and it had avocado, sour cream, rice, and beans. I can’t say that anything really stood out besides it was a giant burrito and as far as flavor goes it was pretty good since I could taste everything in it and none of the ingredients stood more than the others. Sorry no pictures of the burrito but one of an asada quesadilla I got another time. Quesadilla was good and loaded with asada and cheese and was a pretty decent size.“

“This is a small place. It has seven 2 person tables. However, the food and the service are excellent!! It is a mixture of Mexican, Salvadoran and American food. “I come here about three times a week before starting my shift at work (1pm), and I have no complaints about the food or staff, but someone needs to fix how they constructed the parking spaces and drive-thru. During lunch, there's a line for the drive-thru (which is fine. That's what a drive-thru is for), but the line blocks the customers parked in their parking space trying to get out. I paid for my food in the drive-thru lane, but then I couldn't get out due to the horrible placement of this drive-thru.

9/23/24 update: 9 years later, I returned, and I am happy they solved their drive-thru dilemma. Their food is still cooked to perfection and delicious, and their customer service is still excellent. I will be coming here more often.“

“My coworker brought me here for the 1st time. He's been coming to this place for 20 yrs. I've always passed this place & never thought much of it. And for that, I regret it now. A real hidden gem. The cashier/server was amazing from beginning to end, nice lady. The #1 was so good & light. Definitely coming back ?% & bringing family plus friends. All theses times that I've passed this place, I thought it was a very small place but when I went inside. This place is huge!!! The 1 thing I don't like is the entrance & exit, very small & dangerous for big vehicles or not experienced drivers. So watch out.“

“Not a nice looking place and in an industrial area. The food here is delicious! I mainly order breakfast. Must try the bacon breakfast burrito! With the red salsa and maybe even some ranch. I get my egg over easy because I love that runny yolk on all my potatoes bacon yummy breakfast burrito ? ? also another fave from here is the grilled cheese sandwich! Its so simple yet so good. Try the French toast breakfast comes with loads of toast eggs and bacon or half and half bacon and sausage. I usually split that plate since its very well stuffed! And the prices are great here! I wish more places were around the same price range especially when they give so much food! It does get packed and or busy. Alot of delivery and pick up orders im sure also. Lately I will order over the phone or for delivery thru 3rd party. Just so I dont have to go wait, dont get me wrong its worth the wait! Everything is so tasty here! “They have the best gorditas around! It’s been a min since I’ve been back. Arrived on a Monday late afternoon and no one was there. Oh yes, call ahead if you want to order the gorditas. Like I mentioned previously they make it from scratch so it takes some time. The lady on the phone said my to go order would take 20 mins. Decided to eat it there and my heart melt! The salsa is bomb, the food is bussin, come support small businesses!

The ladies who work there are incredibly welcoming and helpful, and they took the time to answer all of my questions about the menu. I ordered the mangonada and the esquite, and both were delicious. The mangonada was perfectly refreshing on a hot day, and the fresh mango bits were a delight. I'll definitely be back to try more of their offerings soon!“
