“Solid 5 stars and we cannot believe took us years to notice this gem of a restaurant so close to our home. We are family of six who are quite picky eaters of Italian food. Now we noticed this place we find ourselves dining in or getting take-away at least once a week.

One word: value! Second word: tasty! Their portion sizes on many entrees are so generous as to feed two adults, plus their complimentary salad (with many entrees) is unusually large for a side salad

Highly recommended:
Fettuccine Veneziana: if you find the cream sauce too heavy, try our trick to sub in angel hair pasta and Pomodori sauce, which turns this into a light Italian pasta dish you would find (priced a third higher) at a restaurant like Maggiano's. Nearly similar taste to seafood pasta dishes we've had along Cinque Terre ( Italian Riviera coast). Or also very good: salmon over angle hair with the Pomodori sauce.

Lasagna: fantastic !
Side of two meatballs: only $3 - are you kidding? Some of the best meatballs ever to meet my taste buds
Minestrone soup: fantastic !
Chicken piccata: our daughter loves their version of this dish.
Tiramisu: very good

Skip it:
Linguine de Mare: you will like this only if you are OK with a sauce that is heavy tomato base that's lacking seafood flavor. It does not compare well to Maggiano's (admittedly higher priced $37) version.“

“Wow the best pizza I ever had and trust me I love pizza. I got the tandoori chicken with pineapple. This pizza was made with quality ingredients, with love and they saved the day today as I picked up the pizza I put it on the top of the car and when I drove off it fell and when I made a U-turn rto come back someone stole it already. We reached to them and spoke to the manager and he was very kind and went above and beyond to make us same pizza without paying for another one. “I recently tried this pizza and it was honestly really good. The crust was perfectly baked — crispy on the outside and soft inside. The cheese was fresh, stretchy, and had a rich flavor. The toppings tasted fresh and were well balanced, not too heavy or greasy. The sauce had a nice tangy taste that blended really well with the cheese and toppings. The portion size was satisfying and the presentation looked appetizing. Overall, it was a delicious pizza and definitely worth trying. I would order it again.“

The marinara sauce in the farfalle mafiusa stood out for its bright and fresh tomato flavor. The pansotti was very tasty. The tomato butter sauce in it was rich yet beautifully balanced. Until, we talked, I stopped ordering from Terun on principle. I was a frequent client. Takeout customers must be honored for requests that are gladly honored when in the dining room. Takeout customers should be thanked for not causing dirty tablecloths and dishes -- and LOYALTY. Jessica reinstated that loyalty. I truly hope that the owners appreciate her. “Celebrating my husband's 65th Birthday. Took a excursion today to cool off out of the valley heat and searched out an authentic Italian meal. I ordered the Linguini and fresh Clams with roasted peppers and light cream sauce. The results were delicious with excellent flavor and presentation. Hubby needed his Cavatelli with red gravy as a side dish since he hasn't found anything like this in our area. He also ordered Lasagna as the main course and we were surprised to see a very large portion! The bread, and I am not a bread eater, was heavenly. Hubby claims good Italian bread is like eating cake and I couldn't agree more with him more. I am now a convert! The pasta is homemade, the red gravy is delicious. We will be returning. “The restaurant and bar is small and we were the only dinner patrons at 6:30 pm, but the bar was well populated and a football game was on the TV. As a result it was quite noisy and we asked the waiter to turn down the music. The staff were very friendly and it seemed to have the same ambience as the bar in Cheers. I had a seafood pasta dish and my wife had a chicken breast with a marvelous cream sauce. The food was excellent and the service was prompt. We will go back.“

“We are visiting from Ohio and had not been to A Bellagio in 10 years. Our experience was fantastic! The atmosphere has been enhanced with the remodeling that has been done. The ambience was lovely. Our server did a great job of making sure we were comfortable at all times and that we had everything we needed. The food was fabulous. We started with the Caesar salad. My husband chose the veal as his entree and I had the filet. Each one was prepared perfectly and the accompanying vegetables cooked to perfection. We each decided to choose the Tiramisu for dessert. The servings were so large that we could have shared one portion. We highly recommend A Bellagio!“

“We've been to one of their other locations, Locanda Sorrento, a few times and love it. We decided to try Locanda Ischia this time. It did not disappoint. It has the same friendly staff, inviting space and fantastic food. Order the Tagliere meat and cheese board to start. It's magnificent.“

“So glad I stumbled across this gem today! William (cashier) was extremely patient, accommodating, and helpful. We ordered a porchetta sandwich, side of fries, double espresso, burger, and scone. Everything we had was delicious - the porchetta was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had. There isn’t a dedicated kids menu from what I saw, but they provided a high chair and most kids survive off fries, so we were fine. Parking is in a private lot and an easy walk from LPCH or Stanford shopping center. The weather was perfect for their patio dining, and staff were prompt to bring our food and clear tables.“

“I discovered the place by accident. I was next door inside Michaels having some art pieces custom framed when I decided to look for a place to stop by to eat. I was starving. I was craving for pasta. And thats how I got to discover this place. I ordered the chicken fettucine alfredo. Love the dish with its chunky chicken pieces and al dente pasta. The complimentary cheese sticks with that cheese pimiento cheese spread was a delightful surprise. Next time Ill check their lasagna and clam chowder. I heard their clam chowder is as good as Boulins in San Francisco. I dont have to make a drive to the city to enjoy a good bowl of chowder. The lasagna looks so rich as well as their chopino. “Delicious! First time there and had a meal on the outside towards the back of restaurant. Had a few different appetizers but I'd say go with the calamari as it's lightly breaded yet had the crunch and the squid soft and easy to eat. Great wine selection. For my main meal was the Filet Mignon dinner special. It was supposed to come with veggies and the meat in truffle sauce. Everything in my order was correct except the sauce on the filet mignon didn't taste nor look like truffle sauce but it looked and tasted more like a balsamic vinegar glaze. It was unique, as it had a vinegar flavor profile which was ok, though I really wanted more of a meaty taste. Dessert was great, had a pistachio cake that was mild in sweetness and more of the nutty flavor. Overall, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for me even with the little hiccup.

Parking: When you get to "Little Italy" one side has free parking but that gets full quickly, and the other side has parking meters that was active until 10PM (Yup, the meters are from 9am to 10pm in Little Italy, the rest of San Jose the meters stop operations at 6pm) which of course the parking space on the meters are available during the late afternoons but these spaces are full by 7/8pm.“
