If you've ever seen the anime food wars every bite is like the scenes when one of the judges takes a bite of the dish and they nut so hard there clothes explode off of them. “The food was very fresh and delicious. We got the Sweet & Spicy Chicken and Vegetables Bowl with Brown Rice. I love the fact that the food came out hot. I didn’t take any pictures of my food because I was distracted by the fact that someone bumped into my car as they were backing out of a parking space prior to me going into Waba Grill, so I spent my time eating while on the phone with my insurance company.“

“Doing tofu and mushrooms this well is VERY RARE. Most places miss the mark on the tofu marinade, and it can be bland. Not the case here! Bun & Mi are able to work umami miracles with the mushroom tofu noodle bowl. The vegan sauce (vinaigrette) is balanced and intentionally subtle but perfect in acidity and salinity and depth.

They clearly are a mom/pop place, with exceptional quality control. They have crushed ice, filtered water. This may sound like a strange thing to remark, BUT it makes all the difference! So many places are not paying attention to the little details, serving tap water that tastes like it came out of a fish bowl. This place is giving you a very intentional, humble and delicious meal. Doing a few menu items and doing them well!“

“This location has a great staff, they work well together and the food tastes hot and fresh. But the negatives are that it's difficult to find parking when the lot is full. It's a very busy location with many eateries and shops. Plus this store is small. They were busy and it felt very cramped. Also there aren't many tables for seniors or the disabled. There are only two available. The rest of the tables are too high and have stools. Not good for someone with bad knees, like myself.“

The portion sizes were incredibly generous, easily enough to share or take some home for later. Our server Moses was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. Overall a really enjoyable experience with great food and great service. They have a lunch special for $11.95 that includes chicken and rice with salad. They also have specials A, B, C and D that are around the $15 to $20 price range. I had the special C that had white rice, a big piece of chicken katsu, two pieces of chicken teriyaki, salad, two small onion rings and two dumplings for about $15.95. Not a bad value. You get a teriyaki sauce and hot sauce on the side. Their teriyaki sauce is very good here! The serving is very generous. I was not about to finish it in one sitting.“

I ordered the large chicken breast plate with fried rice and it was honestly perfect. The chicken breast was cooked just right, juicy and tender, not dry at all. The vegetables were seasoned really well and the fried rice was one of the best I’ve had in a long time.

Even my mom, who is an extremely picky eater and usually prefers home cooked meals, loved it. That alone says a lot.

On top of that, the price point is great for the portion size and quality. Definitely worth it. I’ll be back.“

“Checked out Waba Grill for the first time since the pandemic. Always thought the food was slightly above average, never disappointed at all really. So today I popped in (April 12, 2021). I noticed that they finally have indoor seating, limited to 20 guests at a time. The tables are spaced out a considerable distance. I decided on the sweet and spicy chicken bowl with veggies and white rice. Total after tax was $9.19. I guess that's fair, as the bowl is pretty decently sized.On to the food: The chicken was really good. A great combination of sweet and heat (4/10 on the spicy scale. Anyone who likes spicy stuff should find it satisfying, though it's not super hot, which is a good thing). The veggies are steamed or blanched - can't tell. Either way, they're crispy while still being cooked. I liked them a lot.All in all, come stop by if you're craving a decent rice bowl. Nice flavor, well put together, maybe a bit more expensive than it should be but not too bad! Recommended!“
