“Small mom and pop type of establishment which delivers on those burrito/taco cravings. Reasonably priced and you also get a good amount of food. Good guac and homemade chips. The handmade tortillas are killer and definitely add to the quality of the taste. More of a casual experience or pick up. There is indoor seating though its somewhat limited. They do have a salsa bar with 3 different types of salsa as well as onions, cilantro, limes, pickled onions/veg., etc...“

“Been coming here for 25 years. It’s become a C- Baja Fresh. Don’t post prices on the menu and the carne asada plate is absolutely dreadful. $18 for a flat top grilled piece of flank steak with zero seasoning. This is not good. Anyone who says this carne asada is good is lying. This is garbage. Will not be back after too many chances.“

“We went here for a quick late dinner. The food was tasty but nothing special. I think I may try a few more items though- it may be that my dish was not the best. I had a shrimp taco, some of the breaded shrimp had a bit more breading than ideal. The Mexican street corn though was quite tasty and they provided a good amount for the serving.“

“The chips and salsa hit the spot! If you're in the mood for drinks, this place is a solid choice—especially during happy hour. The food is tasty, though it wouldn’t make my personal top ten. That said, if you're after a lively sports bar vibe with good eats and great drinks, this is definitely the place to be“

“I’ve been going to this place since I was in high school and that was over 10 years ago. I’m happy they are still in business and going strong. The nachos are always a classic and a favorite of mine. Additionally the salads are good too. Yesterday I tried the 3 amigos burrito with my beans on the side and I added pico. It was delicious. It has peppers, carnitas, guacamole, rice and beans. The flavor of the pork was so good and the burrito had good proportion and filling ratios. My fiance got the same thing but with steak and “enchilada” style which comes wet . We both devoured about half and saved half for later. We will definitely be back !“

“We are from LA where arguably the best Mexican food is in the state and let me tell you this place is TOP TIER.
If you’re looking for fresh tacos with the authentic MX taste fresh prepared THIS is it.
Every meat I tasted (my husband got carnitas, pastor, and carne asada) was super fresh, seasoned perfectly, tender, chips were fresh, fresh lemons, not limes (another sign of authenticity imo, iykyk).
The salsas had authentic spice levels, everything.
10/10 for a solid taquero joint. Forget EPL or any other fast food place.
My husband got 5 HUGE tacos for $15!
straight fire, end of rant haha.“

“I love Cafe Rio. I came to the Thousand Oaks location on Moorpark Road. There food is great and better than Chipotle. The staff is very kind and professional. My only issue is that the mens restroom was disgusting. It looks like they haven't cleaned the restroom in over a week. Also the outside tables were disgusting as well. Trash, food, under the tables which of course attracts flies and bugs.“
“What to do when SoCal becomes SoBoring? Been going off and on to Southern California that I think I wore out my curiosity of the place. If you live in SoCal, what do they do for a break? In Toronto, if you get bored and want a weekend of craziness, you head to Montreal. If you want peace and quiet, you head north. Well San Fran is 5 hours away and a change of pace and weather would be good right? I'm packed up in the car already and my SoCal friend is available to make the trip. Cool! It's an expedition - like Miner'49'ers!“

“Someone recommended this place, and they weren’t wrong. The bakery itself is very good, tried their pan con chicharrón and that was amazing. They have plenty of food options even at early hours. Their bread was very delicious as well. Plenty of parking, very friendly staff.“

“I love this place! Went several times with my boyfriend and we took many things from the menu up to now. They have great fish tacos and enchiladas. I have had also a vegetarian burrito in another occasion and liked it very much! In the menu there are many nice cocktails and drink. If you don’t know what to take I suggest the margarita flyers!“
