Side Street has long been my absolute favorite restaurant in Ventura County! When it comes to the menu at Side Street, you genuinely can't make a wrong choice. Personally, I'm hooked on their country fried steak and waffles. Hands down the best gravy you'll ever have! There's something about the way they make their coffee that has me drinking half a pot of coffee I swear. When I go out to eat, I expect the food to be better than what I could make myself at home. It's a standard that so many breakfast/lunch restaurants seem to miss, but Side Street consistently exceeds these expectations without fail. What sets Side Street apart is not only the outstanding food but also their commitment to keeping prices reasonable. You definitely get more than your money's worth here! So many of their dishes come with 1) eggs, 2) toast or biscuits & gravy, AND 3) home fries or hash browns. It's a breakfast lover's dream come true! Walking in you see the amazing mural they have on the back wall but you also get an instant aroma of the delicious food they have brewing. Jesse’s friendly face at the counter invites you in and his knowledge of the food leaves you conflicted on what to order. I had a classic, their menudo. It came with handmade tortillas and their taco bar has the most flavorful red salsa I’ve ever had. Perfect combination for the menudo. I also had an agua fresca. Their cucumber mint was refreshing. My girlfriend had their pozole. Although I didn’t taste it I couldn’t help but steal one of her tostadas, slap on some of that red salsa and some cheese and sour cream. To finish it off we had a plátano frito with lechera. Honestly, everything was to die for. Will definitely be back for more. We were left with a craving for their specialty, their huarache.“

We asked our server to talk to the manager about this and it was addressed immediately. Very impressive on a crowded holiday weekend. This is our favorite neighborhood dinner spot. “I have been living near for close to a decade. I don't know how long this taco truck has been here. I do remember when I moved here, there was a teenager k that I found too expensive so I never tried it. Part of the problem is that I knew other places that I'd rather go eat at. Now a days, either said places aren't as good and those that are, are simply too far of a drive.

That is how I ended up coming here for the first time and was I glad I did. The prices arw too bad and their tacos are great. I got tacos of carne asada and chorizo. Both were extremely good and it is hard to find taco trucks with good of these meats.

Don't be afraid to stop by. When I did, there was no one around. Before I knew it, the place got packed. All kinds of people came to eat or apparently ordered ahead.“

“I’ve been going to this place since I was in high school and that was over 10 years ago. I’m happy they are still in business and going strong. The nachos are always a classic and a favorite of mine. Additionally the salads are good too. Yesterday I tried the 3 amigos burrito with my beans on the side and I added pico. It was delicious. It has peppers, carnitas, guacamole, rice and beans. The flavor of the pork was so good and the burrito had good proportion and filling ratios. My fiance got the same thing but with steak and “enchilada” style which comes wet . We both devoured about half and saved half for later. We will definitely be back !“

It's familar, and also nice, but not pretentious. “Toppers is arguably one of the better local chain pizzerias. Is it the best pizza...no, however, it is always consistently good and you know what to expect plus they also have a great salad bar and draft beer selection. There is a lot of inside/outside seating and it can get pretty busy at times. It's a great place for larger groups of people as well. Service is always pretty prompt and it's just a nice spot to hang and catch the game on one of the many TVs that are positioned around the dining area.“

“Absolutely amazing experience at Greco’s Pizza! The moment I walked in the door, Ricardo and his wife welcomed me with the warmest, most genuine hospitality. You can instantly tell this is a family-owned spot run by an authentic Italian family, and that makes all the difference. The place is super clean, well-kept, and gives off those classic neighborhood pizzeria vibes.
