“Bomb!!! Good family owned spot. They've got Menudo, Pazole, and more. Everything we had was bomb. I had the Menudo and asada nachos, also they've got all the homemade Paletes, Nieves/Icecreams, strawberries and cream. Highly Recommend. Friendy staff make you feel like family. “Don’t think… just get in your car and go get Gelato from here. SERIOUSLY the best gelato and such sweet owners. You walk by the shop and immediately smell the sweet waffle cones, which are to die for. They have amazing new flavors all the time. Our families favorites are cookie dough, hazelnut, Nutella cookie, pistachio (when available) and matcha-to name a few. But honestly, we have not tried one we didn’t love! Go support local… support good quality and even better customer service!“

We wanted to try a Coachella Valley favorite- the date shake.
We came across Lappert’s and decided to give them a try.
The store has a fun vibe to it. The gentleman working was very friendly and helpful. It looks like they have a very broad and creative menu, and can make just about anything that one could imagine. My husband ordered the date shake and I opted for the small cup with 2 generous scoops.
The standard cookies and cream was probably the best version I have ever had. It appears as they make all of their ice cream themselves.
For my other scoop I tried the Navels and ganach. What I really liked was that it was an orange ice cream and not a sorbet.
It tasted like one of the boxed chocolate flavors.
I would say the real winner here was the date shake. It has a very unique flavor, but not too strong. They used date ice cream and vanilla ice cream.
I would definitely recommend Lappert’s!!“

Good location on the corner across from whole foods on 111. The people are nice, Courteous on the ice cream is delicious. A little expensive but a treat is good. Please go“

“This place has a lot of ice cream flavors and even some dairy free sorbet flavors. They serve beer and snacks both hot and cold. You can get waffle cone, you can get chocolate covered bananas here as well as some other novelty treats. The ice cream flavors were the classic ones and tasted fresh and delicious. There’s room for seating inside.“

“I grew up on E pels, they would come to my middle and high schools, the firework shows, swap meets, you name it! E pel was and is a huge part of my childhood. I left the desert 10 years ago and find myself still regularly thinking about these today. I’ve never found anything that comes close to my beloved drinks, and they will be the first thing I search out when I come back for a visit. Give them a try, you don’t forget it, in my opinion they are a desert staple not to be missed.“

“Stopped at Shields today. We had breakfast, followed by a walk around the gardens. So many trees had fruit on them, just going to waste. Signs all over saying "don't pick the fruit." Instead of letting the fruit rot on the trees, why not pick the fruit to sell or even donate to a food pantry? I was saddened seeing all the fruit going to waste.“

“I went here for my birthday and it was amazing! I got to pick anything I wanted to put in my ice cream and it was free because I was a member. There ingredients are excellent and they have many options to choose from. I will definitely come back often. I brought my grandmother here and she thought there ice cream was excellent and it is her favorite now.“

“The people who work at both of their locations are always very friendly. They always get the order correct, they have a good attitude and they are very attentive. I like the Supreme Philly, my partner Luke's the Buffalo chicken Philly. Their Philippino food is always good too and so are their mini egg rolls.
