We wanted to try a Coachella Valley favorite- the date shake.
We came across Lappert’s and decided to give them a try.
The store has a fun vibe to it. The gentleman working was very friendly and helpful. It looks like they have a very broad and creative menu, and can make just about anything that one could imagine. My husband ordered the date shake and I opted for the small cup with 2 generous scoops.
The standard cookies and cream was probably the best version I have ever had. It appears as they make all of their ice cream themselves.
For my other scoop I tried the Navels and ganach. What I really liked was that it was an orange ice cream and not a sorbet.
It tasted like one of the boxed chocolate flavors.
I would say the real winner here was the date shake. It has a very unique flavor, but not too strong. They used date ice cream and vanilla ice cream.
I would definitely recommend Lappert’s!!“

“Delicious ice cream from Perfect Pint! We ordered the Black Forest and Pistachio Raspberry flavors. We were greeted by the husband of the husband and wife owners who was very friendly and explained the flavors. Lots of seating in the mall surrounding areas. Recommend!“

“My only regret is that I have only five stars to give!

Handel's Homemade ice cream has put all other ice cream places I've been to (including the famous Farrells back in the day) to shame. I went there after dinner at 830pm in early February and there was probably 15 people in line. That tells you right there how good the ice cream is.

The first night I had a SMALL butter pecan in a waffle cone, the small is the equivalent of a large anywhere else. Three and a half scoops! Did I mention that is their SMALL! The butter pecan had whole pecans in it and was to die for... and my first time having that flavor. They have all the standard ones you find at those other places and so many unique ones of their own. I came back the next day and got a small waffle cup (again, three and a half scoops) and had a mix of Mint & Chocolate Chunk and Rocky Road. Fantastic!

“This place is crazy good! No matter where we travel the first thing I look for is a great doughnut shop and Vienna Doughnuts has taken over my #1, must go to, to die for, spot!!! We were in the area for several days and tried several doughnuts and all were unbelievably good! The owner is SO kind and welcoming. You can't help but have a positive experience when visiting the Palm Springs area.“

Some other review mentioned “homemade” ice cream which I don’t know what they could have been referring to. “I grew up on E pels, they would come to my middle and high schools, the firework shows, swap meets, you name it! E pel was and is a huge part of my childhood. I left the desert 10 years ago and find myself still regularly thinking about these today. I’ve never found anything that comes close to my beloved drinks, and they will be the first thing I search out when I come back for a visit. Give them a try, you don’t forget it, in my opinion they are a desert staple not to be missed.“

“Went with a large group during the Hotair Balloon Festival. The icecream, and shakes were delicious and the staff was friendly even thoughthey were busy. 10/10 recommend! their shakes are as amazing as they look.“

“Stopped at Shields today. We had breakfast, followed by a walk around the gardens. So many trees had fruit on them, just going to waste. Signs all over saying "don't pick the fruit." Instead of letting the fruit rot on the trees, why not pick the fruit to sell or even donate to a food pantry? I was saddened seeing all the fruit going to waste.“

“I went here for my birthday and it was amazing! I got to pick anything I wanted to put in my ice cream and it was free because I was a member. There ingredients are excellent and they have many options to choose from. I will definitely come back often. I brought my grandmother here and she thought there ice cream was excellent and it is her favorite now.“

“Yum, yum, yum. Very nice place with great flavors. I can really recommend mango, chocolate and salted caramel pretzel. Large menu with toppings and good stuff.Place is extremely clean and neat. No background music (but tv was on in the kids corner) so it feels a bit "empty".But over all a great place and we are definitely coming back.“
