“How can I start this, I'm on a big quest to find the best burgers around the world, and I might say that this one stole the top spot with some ease. Nothing to stray you from what matters, great meat, fluffy bun and fresh salad, but what takes it to another level is the perfect level of salt here. Place was OK, nothing special, but it doesn't needed to be, thay have the best product and that's what matters! Congrats can wait to be back to LA to eat this again.“

“Always good. This time I went inside instead of waiting on the drive through. It took 25 minutes and while the line outside was very long, inside it wasn't as bad as I'd seen it before. It was mid afternoon on a Sunday. They're usually on top of scheduling for rush hours but this time not so much. I'll just have to time my snack time better...“

“I'm a big fan of Burger she Wrote. One of my top 5 places for burgers in LA and if your in town a must try. I'm looking forward to new location opening. But there is some major competition around the corner at Marathon just a block down the street that is always packed. Then NADC burger just opened up and that's hands down the best burger in LA. Hopefully Burger she Wrote is set on meeting the competition and the grilled cheese burger looks like a step in the right direction.“

“This place is a must have anytime I am in the area for work . Everything is top tier with fresh ingredients. The staff is friendly and professional. The grill is right at the front of the stand and you can watch them work their magic as they prepare your food. A must experience for classic Los Angeles food experiences.“

“I stopped by Amboy Burgers after coming to Union Station on the Greyhound from San Diego. The place had a small line outside but it moved quickly. Since it was my first time, I ordered the classic Amboy burger with yellow peppers, and went to sit at a table outside.
I was en route to LAX and realized my phone battery was quite low. I asked the clerk if I could charge my phone for a bit and he graciously plugged me in behind the counter. The burger itself was really good. It tasted like what I’d call a crossover of In-N-Out and a hole-in-the-wall smashburger spot. The meat was super flavorful, though, and the bun was quite good too.
The only downside is that it was like ~$18 after tax for a fairly small burger. But, I realize this is Los Angeles in 2026, so I let it slide and not interfere with my interpretation of the burger. Plus, the willingness to let me charge was really nice.“

“The Guy and the 2 ladies are very hardworking and very professional and they accept EBT. They make delicious grass fed hamburgers and scrumptious fries than the competitors. “The burgers are flavorful and tasty. The ingredients are fresh, and the meat is of excellent quality. The meat is so tender that it virtually melts in your mouth, and the sauce adds to the flavor. Juicy and slightly pink in the middle, there was nothing that I did not like. This is the place to go if you're looking for a great burger in LA. P.S: "First Light Farms" provides their beef, which is certified humane, halal, and free of antibiotics, GMOs, and hormones (a New Zealand meat company).“

“After seeing a suggestion in a FB group, decided to give this place a try at around 3pm on a Sunday. The lady that rang me up had a welcoming personality and another lady delivered it with a beautiful smile! The menu options are affordable. the food was so fresh and the restaurant was very clean! My day started out ho hum, but with the amazing friendly service and great food, it made my day I left with my tummy and heart happy. This will probably be my new Sunday spot Appreciate Y'ALL!“

“I waited a year to come here from the east coast, and it was worth the wait. From the food to the atmosphere, I felt like I was in another dimension with the unique take on regional cooking styles to the sound quality of the music. You could taste the freshness in the ingredients — even the cheese in the dessert was clearly homemade and freshly made. This is such a unique and special place. Thank you for a wonderful experience. This was the best food I had in a long time.“

“We are visiting town from Texas and ran across Irvs burgers in Balboa. Service was friendly and quick. Breakfast burritos was perfect and the patty melt was amazing. Definitely recommend the chili cheese fries as well. The manager was friendly and welcoming! Thank you for your hospitality, quick eat, and delicious ice ice cream!“

“Small shop that sells donuts, burgers, teriyaki and other delicious foods. I ordered a combination teriyaki plate including beef and chicken. It was delicious, very plentiful and quick.
It was near closing time when I arrived but the lady who took my order was welcoming and while I was waiting for my food she gave me a chocolate donut. Although there isn't a lot of room they have a few tables inside and the atmosphere was nice. If you're around and want something quick, tasty and affordable I recommend checking it out!“

“The owner is amazing! Customer service a 10! Her personality was everything! The wings were so good we got the buffalo flavor. Can’t wait to come back and try the Backyard burger (onion rings, candied bacon, smoked Gouda, and bbq sauce). But we also had the frozen margarita I had mango best had strawberry! “Irv's Original with a side of onion rings was delicious. The burger patty was smashed and crisp on the edges. The onion rings were perfectly fried and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Their house made sauces compliment the food well. 10/10“
