“OMG this place is fire. Don't judge the restaurant by the exterior. It truly is a hole-in-the-wall, hidden gem. I was losing hope in LA restaurants (we're visiting from NorCal) but this was honestly the best Thai food I've ever had! We tried the Panang Curry with Tofu and the Drunken Noodles with Tofu. EXCELLENT VEGETARIAN OPTIONS!! Everything tasted homemade, authentic, and most of all, FRESH! I can't wait to return and try other dishes :)“

I ordered the Pad See Ew. I absolutely loved it and couldn't stop praising the dish! The flavor is so authentically Thai, it feels exactly like eating at one of those famous, top-tier restaurants back in Thailand.

What makes this dish truly special is that subtle, beautiful smoky flavor from the wok (Wok Hei). You can immediately tell that it takes a highly skilled, professional chef to master the heat and achieve this perfection. Another huge plus is that the noodles aren't overly greasy at all, unlike many other places we've tried. The balance is just right.

If you are looking for authentic Thai food crafted with the skill of a master chef, you absolutely have to try Lamoon. Highly recommended! 10/10!“

The Thai Curry Chicken and Pad Kapao Gai (Spicy Basil Chicken) are standouts, and the Tom Yum Pizza is worth trying too. Spice is adjustable, which is great for groups with varying tastes. “Bro.. just moved to the area early this year, my partner and I decided to find a lunch spot close by. Looked at reviews and decided to give this spot a try. WHAT?! Hidden gem!! The service- server was super friendly, helpful, and super quick!, Thai tea slapped! (Must get), zap wings - I do think need a sauce so we are taking home to create our own, fried chicken (GET THIS! Moist, but crunchy and soooo yummy, papaya salad(my partner said in her 33 years on earth this is the #2 all time best papaya salad she’s ever had(#1 is her moms), mango sticky rice was perfect- will be coming back for JUST this sometimes 😂
Oh yea I got yellow chicken curry to go so I’ll report later how that is 😂

It’s very small only 4 tables inside, so it was perfect daytime lunch date spot. Shit my partner and I were talking about which coworkers we were bringing here next 😂

Super clean inside. Seems like a lot of afternoon parking in the lot it’s in, not sure about night.

It's now replaced our previous choice for regular takeout (and we used to live in Hollywood next to the Thai town). We had the hidden treasure, beef satay and loved those too.

We came here with the red dinning book 📕. Got two entrees and an appetizer for 2 people, koi soi, tiger prawn curry and raw scallops. The koi soi is actually a pasta, so it was quite a surprise to me, there is no soup in the dish. The curry in the tiger prawn dish is full with prawn roe sauce, very rich.

Everything tastes good and I would come back for the 2nd time for sure!“

We got a couple of lunch specials, one Pad Thai and another Pad See Ew. We also tried the Pork Jerky.

Everything was good. Nothing outstanding but all was what I was looking for. I'd say the Pad See Ew was the most flavorful. My wife liked the Pork Jerky.

“VIM'S is THE BEST Thai food that I've had in Los Angeles. I've been going to their various locations since 1987! I've even celebrated my birthday parties there. The food is cooked to order (spicy to mild) and served family style. I have taken hundreds of friends and co-workers to Vim's for lunch or dinner and it's always a hit! It's still cash only after all these years. The taste and quality of the food has remained consistent over the decades.“
