Amazing food and service!
The dry pho and grilled pork dishes are a must have!
I came here because they accept reservations, but the restaurant wasn’t busy at all, so a reservation didn’t seem necessary.
Overall, the food was just average and nothing really stood out to me. The pho portion was smaller than expected, with only a small amount of meat. Considering the quantity of meat provided, I felt the price was on the expensive side. Spring roll was $13 and only two roll comes out. Service was good.

399 Vietnamese Kitchen offers a consistently excellent dining experience. The courteous staff provide attentive service, and the food is consistently delicious. The pho is a standout, with perfect broth and seasoning that requires no additional toppings. The restaurant also serves a range of dishes, including banh-mi, noodle dishes, and shaken beef. The fried egg rolls are a highlight, with a crispy and crunchy batter. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the restaurant offers great value, with deals like dinner for two for $55 during OC Restaurant week.
Customers have praised the delicious vegetable crispy spring rolls, yummy cold shrimp rolls, and the consistently good bun cha and egg rolls. The egg rolls are described as having a great crispy light skin covering a tasty filling mixture, which makes them especially delicious. The bun cha is also highly regarded, with lean meat in a tasty savory sweet sauce combined with the bun and vegetables.
However, some customers have noted inconsistencies in serving sizes for the pho, with bowls varying in size despite the same price. Additionally, there have been concerns about the high prices compared to other Vietnamese restaurants.
