“Ordered some dinner here of 3 different options of the teriyaki chicken, beef short ribs, and katsu chicken. All platters were an immense amount of food, and you could feel the weight of the food in the to-go bag. I was shocked when opening the carton to see what seemed like 2-3lbs of meat, 1lb of rice, and some macaroni salad. I will say the food is more fast food vibes and not high-end quality, but for the price you pay and the amount of food you get. I would say it is worth it.
Great flavor from the teriyaki chicken that had a long-lasting marinade you can taste. I would definitely recommend people to get the chicken katsu or the beef ribs because the flavor is just a lot better than the teriyaki chicken, although good, is just very generic.
The macaroni salad and the spam musubi are also very nice little appetizers! Again, would recommend it as a lunch stop and definitely taking some seconds home because of the amount of food you get. It's a cool spot with a few seats and usually not crazy packed. The guy at the front was very helpful and great at service.

Vegetarian options: They have some macaroni salad and coleslaw

Dietary restrictions: Definitely carnivore friendly as you can just get a huge amount of beef, teriyaki chicken, and eat that as the main meal

“I love everything about this location! The customer service frm all of the staff is absolutely amazing, very welcoming, friendly with a lot of smiles! Thank you! The food is always fresh! The place is very clean! The display counter is very neat and clean, there’s never any crumbs or food spills all over the counter! The amount of fishes and fixings and the size of the bowl is well worth whatever the price is for the different sizes! Myself, I always get the XL bowl with all salad base…I love their albacore crab salad! That being said I would recommend this place to all that are in search for a perfect tiki bowl…???????

Vegetarian options: I have my vegetarian moments where I don’t feel like meat and I would come to this place and have a bowl with all the veggies and sauces! It’s just an overall great place to come and enjoy a light and refreshing taste of life living’s!????

Dietary restrictions: While many diet plans have a lot of restrictions on what you can and can not eat, or how much you can eat, Tiki bowls helps you manage and meet goals on calories and carbs! Not only was the storefront decorated with Hawaii themed memorabilia that made me feel at home but the service and food was A+We ordered two spam musubi ( a Hawaii classic) the Teri Mix Plate and Seafood Mix Plate.First off, everything is made to order NO food is sitting around and the food is FRESH!All the food was excellent and had amazing flavor reminding me of home! The spam musubi and Mac salad were amazing and it felt like I was still in Hawaii!I 1000% recommend this restaurant and you should definitely stop by when coming to Disneyland!P.S. “After seeing this place on grun with Greg's Facebook, I decided to try it. I got the loco moco plate, island beef rib plate and the 2 for $5 teriyaki spam masubi. I enjoyed the masubi. It was pretty flavorful and well made. The island beef run was also very delicious. For the price and for 3 beef ribs, it was well worth it. The loco moco plate was also good but unfortunately there was no gravy. So I docked my review by 1 star. Loco moco isn't loco moco without gravy. Other than that, I recommend this place. Don't order online, it's $4 more online. Just order in person or see if you can call in an order.“

“First time here based on reviews and didn’t want to drive all the way up north to Matiki Hawaiian food so I came here instead. It’s very true about the portion sides. It’s actually enough for three maybe four people depending on hungry or I ordered the regular sized chicken, ribs and beef plate with rice, cabbage, and macaroni, and it was too much to eat. I threw away about a third of it. The meats were all overly sauced and a bit salty with sort of concerns me because this is how restaurants and grocery stores hide the fact that the meat is getting old or stale or whatever but they use lots of sodium and sauces to disguise the fact that the meat is going bad, but edible was too much of a mayonnaise paradise the rice was very good. The best part of the meal was actually the cabbage.“

She put me on hold and after a minute I heard it hang up, after she left the line busy because it wouldn’t even ring. Prices are fair you pay $16 and cents for a regular poke bowl which is more than less the standard price. I just came to the market and decided to try it, and no regrets at all. Parking is usually very scarce during lunch. I don't remember seeing seating inside as it is a very small place. Again, seating outside is for all the restaurants in the center. It may be hard to find a table. Definitely going back again.“

“Solid Hawaiian BBQ joint. Chicken, beef, pork, and katsu on the menu. The combo plate gives you a taste of everything and weighs like 5 pounds… perfectly cooked cabbage and macaroni salad. I got the chicken katsu which was appropriately thin and crispy with our being dry. Good curry sauce and it has potatoes!! Will definitely eat here again and work my way thru the menu. They have limited seating at the Irvine location on Barranca. Friendly service. Clean restaurant. A++“

“This place rocks, I go here generally every couple weeks if I can and the food is always delicious. The teriyaki beef bowl is what I get most often. The meat and rice are well cooked and their sauce is one of the best I’ve had. Their portions are pretty generous and sometimes enough to save for a small meal leftover. I also often get either the kalbi or beef ribs on the side and I love both of those too.
The second you walk in you know the place is legit, there’s the sweet smoke of great barbecue in the air and the people at the counter are always so nice, I’ve never had an issue with service. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone!“

I’ve been going here ever since it first opened when I went to El Modena High School 6 years ago and always on my list of places to come back to eat when visiting from college. Prices have to change here and there due to inflation but has always been reasonable and a lot better than other places. It’s a local Japanese family that owns this place too and has been so nice every time. I saw someone complain about portions but it’s really up to you with what you get, they offer ALL these complimentary toppings for free but if you choose to not have them then it’s on you.

“Umma’s K-BBQ is a fast casual Korean and Hawaiian influenced restaurant located at the corner of Trabuco Road and Bake Parkway in Lake Forest. The plaza is anchored by a McDonalds and Starbucks and there is plenty of parking available except during peak hours. Their menu is fairly extensive and even though you can dine in the outdoor courtyard, takeout is the way to go.

With a combination plate, you can enjoy 2 proteins with choice of base and 4 side orders. I opted for the kalbi and spicy chicken and they did not disappoint. I also tried the spicy pork but it was unfortunately on the dryer side. White rice was my base and I chose cabbage salad, spicy cucumber and a double order of chapjae glass noodles as my side dishes. I also sampled my wife’s kimchi and mac salad which were just as tasty as the other sides. The best parts of our experience were the generous portion sizes and the exceptional service provided by the young man behind the counter. We’ll def be back!“

I’ve moved out of orange county but get food from here every time I visit. My go to favorites are the chicken katsu, bbq chicken, and Maui pineapple chicken!
