“Love coming here after work. The food is good , dining area is clean and comfortable, and the staff is nice. Recently I left my water bottle at my table about a week ago and the crew today when I showed up waved my down when I walked in and handed me the water bottle that I had assumed to be long gone. They kept it safe by the register in case I came by. Such a thoughtful crew and really kind. I think the cashier was named Chris.“

“I love everything about this location! The customer service frm all of the staff is absolutely amazing, very welcoming, friendly with a lot of smiles! Thank you! The food is always fresh! The place is very clean! The display counter is very neat and clean, there’s never any crumbs or food spills all over the counter! The amount of fishes and fixings and the size of the bowl is well worth whatever the price is for the different sizes! Myself, I always get the XL bowl with all salad base…I love their albacore crab salad! That being said I would recommend this place to all that are in search for a perfect tiki bowl…???????

Vegetarian options: I have my vegetarian moments where I don’t feel like meat and I would come to this place and have a bowl with all the veggies and sauces! It’s just an overall great place to come and enjoy a light and refreshing taste of life living’s!????

Not only was the storefront decorated with Hawaii themed memorabilia that made me feel at home but the service and food was A+We ordered two spam musubi ( a Hawaii classic) the Teri Mix Plate and Seafood Mix Plate.First off, everything is made to order NO food is sitting around and the food is FRESH!All the food was excellent and had amazing flavor reminding me of home! The spam musubi and Mac salad were amazing and it felt like I was still in Hawaii!I 1000% recommend this restaurant and you should definitely stop by when coming to Disneyland!P.S. “Best local Hawaiian food we've found outside of Hawaii. Better than most even in Hawaii. Beef ribs are the perfect combo of tough and tender, grilled perfectly, and so big!

Loco moco was juicy and clearly made very fresh. Cooked a perfect medium and packed with flavor.

Reminds me of a NYC Automat only a 21st-century interpretation with self-service menu ordering terminals, no coin or currency, smartphone updates, and access to retrieving your order from numbered/lettered lockers. “Solid Hawaiian BBQ joint. Chicken, beef, pork, and katsu on the menu. The combo plate gives you a taste of everything and weighs like 5 pounds… perfectly cooked cabbage and macaroni salad. I got the chicken katsu which was appropriately thin and crispy with our being dry. Good curry sauce and it has potatoes!! Will definitely eat here again and work my way thru the menu. They have limited seating at the Irvine location on Barranca. Friendly service. Clean restaurant. A++“

“Umma’s K-BBQ is a fast casual Korean and Hawaiian influenced restaurant located at the corner of Trabuco Road and Bake Parkway in Lake Forest. The plaza is anchored by a McDonalds and Starbucks and there is plenty of parking available except during peak hours. Their menu is fairly extensive and even though you can dine in the outdoor courtyard, takeout is the way to go.

With a combination plate, you can enjoy 2 proteins with choice of base and 4 side orders. I opted for the kalbi and spicy chicken and they did not disappoint. I also tried the spicy pork but it was unfortunately on the dryer side. White rice was my base and I chose cabbage salad, spicy cucumber and a double order of chapjae glass noodles as my side dishes. I also sampled my wife’s kimchi and mac salad which were just as tasty as the other sides. The best parts of our experience were the generous portion sizes and the exceptional service provided by the young man behind the counter. We’ll def be back!“

“Stopped by yesterday afternoon and had no trouble finding parking in the structure, there’s designated parking for the restaurants, and if you’re quick, you may not need to pay. The location was easy to find, and the interior is a small, casual poke bar with a few tables.

Ingredients were decent, though the portion sizes were on the smaller side compared to other spots with similar pricing. I really enjoyed the sauces, especially the spicy ponzu, which was packed with flavor. We also ordered drinks: I had the matcha latte and my partner got the pomegranate tea. Both were a bit too sweet, but still tasty.

However, after visiting and reading through other reviews, I felt uneasy, not just as a customer, but as a fellow business owner. Multiple reviewers have mentioned concerns about how tipping is handled here, with suggestions that the tips may not be going directly to staff. If true, that’s incredibly disappointing and raises ethical concerns. Businesses should always prioritize fairness and transparency when it comes to supporting their employees.
