“I think I just had three of the best tacos of 2024. I walked in here expecting things to be good l, but DAMN these were some delicious tacos. Quesabirria, fried fish, and grilled shrimp were unreal! Brought together with two perfect salsas, the tacos were flavorful, distinct, and filling. You don’t want to miss El Bandito.“

“The tacos were good, I got the azteca taco that had cecina with the cactus, the asada and cabeza. The cabeza was soft, the asada was ok the cecina was pretty good along with the catcus. The salsas were also decent. It's in a market station so you can grab your own drinks and snacks too.
The staff was nice and helpful with the choices on the menu. The seating is outside with a couple of propped umbrellas which is nice during the hot days. Overall decent place.“

“Best Taco Tuesday in Tustin at $1.50-2.00 per taco. 3 tacos are enough for lunch, but I usually order 4. I also add a large cold Horchata (cinnamon rice drink) $2.99 and a side of 3 grilled salted Jalapenos $0.75 (not on the menu). This is the closest Mexican street food without driving to Mexico. Enjoy!“

“Gringo Mexican food. Tasty chips and salsa while you wait for your order. It's decorated in a Coastal Mexican Vibe; family friendly. Back room large enough for groups. They have a cool bar. Years ago they had a DJ and dancing. It would be cool not to blast sports on TVS BUT TO HAVE KARAOKE... Disney is close by

“Went to the food hall for another restaurant, but it was closed. Staff at Fonda Moderna waved us over and wow am I glad they did. Very friendly and helped us decide what to get. Tacos were amazing. First time I have ever had a lobster taco, fantastic. The Birria was also excellent. Great food and great service, will absolutely go there again.“

“In a little corner of an unassuming strip of restaurants, water retailers, and miscellaneous vendors sits this diamond in the rough.
My carne asada torta ate like a panini with the bread thinned by the toaster, creating a crispy-ish texture wrapped around the savoury center that burst with flavor like fireworks!
The staff is welcoming and courteous. The matron speaks both English and Spanish, in case you fear ordering outside your native tongue.
Highly recommended. Aces all the way“

“Place was really cute, I got the red chilaquiles and everything from the chips to the sauce and rice was delicious ?.
My son got the potato tacos, those almost just as good just add hint of salt.
Food was good. A little on the pricier side but considering the area, totally worthed it. And the young man that helped us was very kind and polite. Referred me next door to the cute little thrift shop. Loved my experience“

“Hidden gem ? place, authentic Mexican flavor tacos & dishes, flavored waters also my favorite is lemon with cucumber & chia, workers are fast & efficient from my POV ambience is cool, there's always Kinda festive Mexican music, but I always go after my working hours so is always near closing time and few ppl, so my guess earlier during day might be busier & happier. Give it a try is yummy, you won't regret“

“Spanish speaking establishment serves Mexican + (Salvadoran?) food. Chips and salsa are really tasty. Some worker gentlemen suggested the wet burrito (mojado) con carnitas. The menu was a home printed pictures of the food which looked really well prepared. Not surprising then the food comes out looks just like the pictures and tasting as good as it looks. Wife recommends huitlacoche quesadilla like she used to get in Coyocan. If you know, you know.This place is way out of our way, but I've already been assured we will be going back.“

“Wow. The torta cubana from here was delicious. 👌 The single heated chile and / or the smoky roasted chile that they put with salt was great. The green sauce and red sauce were really good as well. I wanted to try all three spicy options, but I think I over did it. 😅. I ate all three spicy options, and half of my torta and my stomach was full and burning 🔥 from the inside. I could feel my stomach crying and telling me to stop eating too much delicious chile 🌶 😄. I would not recommend anyone to eat all three spicy options. Next time time I will stay with one option. The agua de sandia was sweet and good. 🍉. It would be a good idea to dilute the drink with water. I appreciate the service here 🙏. Thank you.
