“Went here on a whim since I felt the craving for ice cream. It's been years since the last time I've got Coldstone, so I wasn't really sure what's so special about it. Then I quickly remembered that they basically do one those cold stone tablets to mix the ice cream with the toppings. There were too many choices, so I just (sorta) randomly picked the cookie dough and a few toppings. They also have this to-go containers which is pretty handy if you want to do takeaway (since that's pretty much the only option these days). The person making my ice cream even put the leftover in a small cup so I had a bit extra. Very nice and definitely not complaining.“

Didn't realize it until I made it home in Richmond (40 miles away). Drove back to All Star Burger & experienced the Amazing Service of the Lady with the Star Tattoo. She put on gloves & went threw every piece of trash & found my partial tooth at the bottom. She never complained, would not let me help & keep a smile on her face. “I saw a worker from another place come back from break holding a churro. I had to ask where, this shop was two doors down. First I ordered the churro and then I saw the fun ice cream varieties. Settled on a refreshing soursop, it had seeds! My friend got a dried fruit and he said that grew on him. There are many other flavors to try next time. Service was nice, there are a couple of tables to sit and eat other snacks that they make as well. PS the churros were OK, crispy and sweet but the middle was not as crispy as fresh out of a fry vat in Mexico.“

“This was my first time visiting this place, which is relatively new. I had been in Hayward for over two years and had never found a good ice cream spot like this before.

The ambiance is welcoming and cozy, and the service is quick. They also have unique flavors and combinations. We tried the Dubai chocolate, brown sugar boba, s’more, pineapple, and chili mango flavors.

The Dubai chocolate was the best. It was sweet, salty, and the ice cream was creamy, fresh, and soothing. The brown sugar boba was unique and started more like frozen boba milk tea. The pineapple flavor was tarty, fresh, and complimentary. The s’more was typical milk ice cream cone topped with burnt marshmallow. The chili mango was also typical, tasting like mango topped with tahini that you can see in fruit stands.

Overall, it was a good experience. This place is popular among teens and young adults.“

“8-Twelve is a true neighborhood gem. It is the kind of place where kids can grab a snack and a fun drink for a reasonable price, and then just relax after school. Even though it is not as close to the middle or high school as some of the other hangouts, it has become one of our favorites.
