“The first time I came here I wanted to get their Milky Chill Quenchers in this cute bear cup they had but they didn’t have it available when I went. The owner said she will owe me one if I come back for it. I didn’t come back maybe for at least two weeks and she remember me and said they bear cup that cost an extra $5 is free. Wow what service and the fact she remember me that’s awesome. I got their Milky quencher mint chocolate flavor because I love mint flavor anything. This thing was so good it was minty but not too overpowering the milk shake which is good and I love the bear cup it came in. I really want to come back and try their UNE sandwich and another one of their drinks which they have so much of. Most definitely come here especially for a nice cool drink to escape the summer heat.“

“Visited Hops and Beans in Fremont, and it was fantastic! Ordered an almond croissant, a white chocolate latte, and a vanilla latte. The coffee was rich, smooth, and so flavorful—definitely some of the best I’ve had! The almond croissant was perfectly flaky with just the right amount of sweetness. The service was good, though I wish they had noticed the two small cracks on the rim of my cup—it would’ve made the experience even better. Overall, it’s a great spot for a cozy coffee break! “this is a hidden gem.was not busy this wednesday night. truly excellent dishes from a somewhat smallish menu. wonderful spiced sashimi, for instance. squash soup. the mains change a bit. sometimes they have pan fried halibut which is perfectly done. ok "regular" wine list, with a pricey "reserve list". had a nice glass of chablis for$17. $35 corkage. noisy when full.....very good live music some nights. friday night in the adjoining bar can be busy and noisy. a definite repeat.“

“I thought the Uber driver dropped me off at the wrong place, he didn’t speak English. The coffee shop is inside the station, the lady there, her name is Wendell. She speaks Tagalog, Japanese and of course English. She eventually wants to move to Hawaii, she says that she’s an Island girl. I got a Latte, it was very good. I met an old colleague there that I hadn’t seen in almost twenty years. It was a lovely Fremont weather day, the reason people love it here.“

“An online search for good Filipino food in the East Bay led me to this restaurant. A friend and I have eaten there several times. It’s a casual, cafeteria-style business with a small but cozy dining area. Irene was very welcoming and was happy to describe some of the dishes. Her customer service is exceptional! We enjoyed everything we ordered….the Longsilog with garlic rice, eggs & tomato, the Sinigang with pork, Kare-kare (loved the tender oxtail and tripe in peanut sauce), Pinakbet (like the way mom made it!), the Kaldareta, and calamansi juice. For dessert we had the fried Turon which was sweet and crispy. Their homestyle dishes are all fresh and delicious. We found a “happy place” for Filipino cuisine where we will go from now on. We highly recommend Manila Turo-Turo. You won’t be disappointed!“

“I signed up for my daughter and her dad to attend Macaroon class. Both came back with delicious macaroon and shared their enjoyment experience during the class. Next day, they tried baking Macaroon on their own. Even without having all the proper equipment, they were able to make the Macaroon very soft and delicious. Thank you, Natalie, for having my daughter and her dad in class. The cost for the class is fair ($85/person). I know a lot of people are interested in joining your class. The only issue is the distance is too far from their homes. I wish you will offer more variety of classes throughout the year.“

“Food was fantastic! Covid has hit all restaurants hard and La Stanza was new to Menlo Park opening in January 2020. The owner / chef has his Italian cuisine dialed. The cesar salad was dressed to perfection served on a chilled plate w/shavings of Parmigiano Reggiano.. Delish! My short rib ravioli special was exactly what I was hoping for. Hand made in house pasta baked to perfection. My wife had the sacchettto vegi pasta pocket stuffed w/vegis . The red sauce had tremendous flavor... and perfect to mop up with the bread. 🤪... This place is a must try!“

Caddy corner from San Leandro BART (right across from the Wendys) so super convenient for commuters if you know its there. Its tucked away so if youre not looking youll miss it. “I love that this place has healthy options and uses fresh, real ingredients. Hard to find around here. The salad is a great deal, and so are his lunch specials. I don’t know anywhere else I can get a meal with a drink for $10, tax included! I also like the great energy of the new owner. Having a positive social experience is part of eating out, and even though it’s more of a place to grab a quick meal, it’s always nice to have a friendly interaction when dining. I come here with my toddler and feel welcome and good about what I’m feeding her.

“Lake Chabot is an insider tip for tourists! We discovered this beautiful recreational area by chance a few years ago and were now happy to go there again for a day trip. On weekends you can take a guided boat tour and learn a lot of interesting things about the Bay Area, as the lake was named after the engineer Chabot, who was instrumental in building the water pipeline system in the Bay Area.
