“A great find. The chicken shish on rice was scrumptious. Got double Greek salad in place of fries. Fresh baby spinach, tomatoes, seasoning and light dressing. Perfect! Pita and hummus.Generous portions. Varied menu. Good prices. Warmly greeted when I walked in. Food cooked right in front of me. Loved the ambiance and the couple who own it. Looking forward to my next meal there. Huge thanks to their generosity on many levels!“
“Weird, but the place was dead----and i mean dead----at peak hour on Saturday night. My wife and I were the only ones in the place. The ambiance/bar was upscale but quaint. The service---by the owner and wait staff---off the charts great. Food was also very good. Had the moussaka and my wife had shrimp. Everything was tasty. Hard to explain why there was no one else there.“
“Our first time and definitely not the last time at this delightful restaurant. Impeccable service, amazing waitress (Olga) who was watching her tables so closely, making sure during the entire time to accommodate her guests. Pleasant, professional, great personality and a perfect match for such restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was so comfortable, perfect lighting and seating area. The manager (Leslie) stop by our table because we wanted him to know how much we appreciated Olga’s great work and how much we enjoyed everything. No matter where go are in LA, you must visit this wonderful restaurant. Kudos to the chef, staff and the management.“
“When the server poured our drink, there was some left in the bottle, but he took the bottle off of our table. It was just for several sips, but he could have left the bottle on our table so that we could have enjoyed the remainder. The server seemed impatient. Other than that, I enjoyed their dishes and atmosphere.“
“The Great Greek restaurant on Ventura Blvd is an authentic Grecian eatery in Los Angeles, CA. The environment is charming and the service is outstanding! The food is mouthwatering. The Greek Meatball and Pasta in red sauce is a fantastic heavy dish!“
“My family and I really enjoy eating here. Jake took our order and Juan helped out with the yummy sauces. Oh man that garlic feta is something special!! The food is good, the service is good and it’s a very clean restaurant. Happy to come back soon!“
“Good service. Place seemed clean. The girl working the front was by herself & probably needed help during lunch. The fries were good & fresh. The chicken in the gyro was spiced well. They could've given more meat in the pita. I didn't like the mustard sauce they use on the pita. I'd come back & ask for the regular tzatziki sauce next time.“
“Just happened to be stopping next door, needing something to eat and was SHOCKED to discover my favorite food truck was now a store front!!!! Haven't tried the food at the physical location yet as I'm literally sitting here waiting for it but I was so happy to see they had a store front after loving their food truck that I wanted to get right online and boost this“
“The hospitality from the hostess and my waiter was outstanding. They both exuded genuine enthusiasm, enhancing my own excitement about being there. The ambiance is warm and intimate. I savored the melon salad, cakes, burger, and sesame cookie. The melon salad was a delightful mix of flavors, with a light and refreshing broth. The cakes lived up to their reputation. The burger surpassed all expectations and stands as the best I've ever tasted. The cookie provided the perfect conclusion to my meal, with its subtle sweetness and delectable brown butter notes. I eagerly anticipate my next visit!“
“Service was great, and the restaurant is a fun vibe. Go with a big group so you can try a variety of dishes. We tried the cauliflower, beets, hummus, panzanella salad, oyster mushrooms, branzino, potatoes, and some friends had the rib eye. For dessert we tried the baklava pie and the olive oil ice cream. The panzanella was my favorite dish, but overall everything was solid. It's in a small strip mall and has a few parking spots which is an added bonus.“
“Really great restaurant. It was my first time ordering and the cashier was so sweet and helpful. It's really nice to come in to a place where the workers have a smile on their face and greet their customers and make them feel welcomed. As for the food, it was delicious the chicken laffa wrap was so good and filling. The fresh laffa was nice and warm and the ingredients were fresh and went really well together. I will definitely come back again.“
“Wow, this place has been around for years. Ami, the twists, I love the breads, the service is very fast, it just needs a little clearing, it's very tight that the workers don't change the recipes because sometimes they give me different meats, I like the original, but I like it ?????Vegetarian options: Mm to the client's taste ??Parking: They have their parking and on the street very complicated Saturdays and Sundays by the churches of Saint Thomas and Sophia are in Pico & NormandieKid-friendliness: If they have a nice place to eat outside there are no games ???Wheelchair accessibility: Not outside inside ? it's a store it's more for take away but come see if you like it outside it's familiar ????“
“Falafel Palace has been here for 52 years. Same family ownership. Gina is a wonderful person. She greets you with sincerity and guides you through the menu if you have questions. Pride in ownership is evident. I used to go here years ago. We finally made time to revisit. The food was wonderful. I had the lamb gyro with double meat (my favorite). Tender, seasoned just right. Tzatziki and spicy sauce onside. Mom had the falafel in pita. It was huge! She enjoyed it so much that she couldn't put it down. My wife had chicken shawarma. Again seasoned just right and tender. Humus, awesome. We were so stuffed. Had to take a baklava home for later.I suggest stopping by and taking a break from your burger routine. It is great to support a local family run business.“
“Came in to have some warm food, and warm smile. Thank you so much for delicious food !Combination plate with chicken & beef skewers with rice and hummus were very delicious+ also Dr Pepper creamsoda flavor (they have some good selection of soft drinks / coffee / tea in bottle)Trying your falafel next time - it looked so delicious!따뜻한 케밥 콤비네이션 플레이트 너무 맛있었어요감사합니다Vegetarian options: They have falafel on the menu“
“I can't say enough nice things about this place, the food is delicious, the people are very friendly. I like to come here on my lunch break because I work across the street, it's just plain wonderful! I always get the chicken kabob with rice tzatziki I'm a small salad. “If you're ever wondering how great Gyros would taste like, this is the place for you!!! This place serves BOMBBBBBBB Gyros and Fries and Salad!! I can't get enough, I find myself ordering from here at least once a week, I feel like I should just move in at this point LOL! 10/10 would recommend the Lamb Gyros, Fries (these are addictive!!!), Gyro Salad!! The service is always top notch, the staff is so friendly and quick! A hassle-free ambiance that's for sure. Bonus: they have free parking in the plaza!!“
“Not only was the food excellent but the service was excellent, too! I was surprised it wasn’t more busy, especially because of the quality of the food. The prices were reasonable too. We got a falafel wrap, Greek salad, hummus, and a beer for $20 a person.Vegetarian options: Falafel, mezze, hummus, salad“
“You figure if a place is called "Nick the Greek" it better be good!. Well....drumroll...it was great! Possibly the best gyro I ever had, not sure yet, so will have to try more out: )Service was prompt, professional and prices are reasonable. The premises were clean. The location is very convenient at the corner of Sunset & La Brea.Highly recommended for gyros.“
“Great Greek food prepared fresh while you wait.Beef Lula was tasty. Spanikopita was good but needs more filling.Dolmades were tasty but too soggy!!Leave the Greek yogurt sauce off the food. It's better to give the diner a choice. On the side is better!Greek salad was great and fresh.Prompt ,efficient and courteous staff.Pretty expensive too, but worth it!Parking: Need to pave the road in the parking lot. Pot holes everywhere ? .“
“I've been coming here since 1992 or earlier. This is one of my best childhood memories. I remember when the owner had all the autographed pictures of famous people in the walls. I remember he' always said his mother makes the best and has the best recipes, top secret! If you want falafel this is the best. At 44 years old I am still trying to figure out his hot sauce. I crave it. But I'm in Orange County. If I ever go to LA I go there. My wish would be for him to open up in Orange County :)“
