“Few weeks ago I was working nearby and after working few hours we must treat ourselves with a nice meal, and consulting with Google maps I decided to try this spot. I know deli places are famous for the sandwiches but I decided to try a burger and I totally made a great choice, the burger was absolutely delicious, and the best part was that I could choose either French fries or from the salad bar, seen the freshness of salads I decided to had my burger with salad, I had artichokes and tomatoes, they were so delicious that the next day I had to go again for lunch, and the 3rd time myself and another 2 coworker ate from this place , they loved it. Personally I loved that tasty burger with salad, if one day I'm around I hope that day comes soon I'll definitely have to try a sandwich. The place has enough room to enjoy a nice meal prepared at the moment, or either to go, the workers are super friendly and they also have a section of cold drinks. “I work in the area so I passed this place often and I’ve been wanting to try it for quite some time. A lot of my coworkers have said great things about it so I decided to give it a try today. It’s located right on Santa Monica Blvd on a gas station property inside where you pay for gas. One end of it is the market and the other end is for the gas station. In between are rows of the refrigerators and aisles of snacks so it was really nice to have all those drink options. The lady behind the counter was really polite and it was just a really quick and easy experience to get my lunch.

“Grade A (95): St Vincent Deli, is my favorite restaurant in the alley. I can't believe how much food comes out of this tiny little restaurant. They have Shawerma (gyros style) but tastes amazing. “I tried this place for lunch since I was looking for something new that also wasn't so heavy like other items around the area are. I chose this place because the of the reviews and also their menu. It seems all over the place since it goes from wraps, to sandwiches, sushi rolls, poke, smoothies, ice blended drinks, and even boba!

I ordered the chicken wrap for lunch and chose a side of potato salad. You have three options, which are fries, salad or potato salad. I'll try the other two the next time, maybe with a sandwich. The chicken wrap, I assumed, I was going to receive cold. To my surprise it was warm and that's because it comes with freshly grilled chicken. The chicken was juicy, flavorful, and surrounded by crisp veggies. It also had like a ranch sauce or caesar dressing sauce or similar. But it all worked out well together.

The potato salad was just okay, and it was nothing amazing. It had a decent flavor. Personally, I would not order this item again as it could have been better.

The ice blended coffee was great. Exactly what I had expected from an ice blended beverage. Nothing amazing and I would order it again, but this time in a larger size for me.

Overall, this place was much better than I had expected, and it does deserve it's rating as the food was packaged neatly, looked great and tasted great. I will definitely be coming back to this place to try their other items. The place is nice and the prices are more than fair and inexpensive.“

“We love Fat Sal's.
We go there for smash burgers mostly. I definitely haven't eaten every one, but of all the smash burgers I've had all over the city, Fat Sal's is to me the best. Lacey and crispy around the edge, American cheese as God intended on a smashburger, good bun and you can add lettuce and tomato if you want. Sometimes we'll get a loaded side of fries as well. The menu is full of delicious sounding, but a little over the top combinations of things piled up on a smashburger or a sandwich. I'd love to try them, but the regular smashburger is so delicious. They have a pastrami smashburger on the menu, but it has chicken tenders and a bunch of other stuff on it as well. I don't want all of that, I want a smashburger with griddled pastrami added to it, maybe some Swiss. The regular smashburger, maybe with an extra Patty added is the go-to for both of us.
The staff working there all knows and recognizes us. They're very friendly, and very customer service oriented. They always want to make sure we have everything we need and that we're taken care of, they'll swing by the counter where we're eating to see if we need any more ketchup, napkins, etc. It's really next-level service for this kind of a fast casual. Lots of TVs up high on the walls showing whatever sports is on, plus a Fat Sal's Venice Beach skater video running on a loop. Recommend if you like a delicious smashburger in a cool low-key environment with great service. And who doesn't?“
