“They have the best chicken noodle soup! The menu is similar to what you'd see at Brent's in Northridge. There's not too much focus on ambiance or the presentation of the food, honestly. Each time I've been there it's been fairly busy, if not crowded and it doesn't seem like they have enough help. At the end of the day, the food is very reasonably priced and tastes good.“
“If you love pastrami's sandwiches, this is the place to try. I find the another famous spot in LA getting too crowded and I was recommended to Brent's by a local. The first pastrami absolutely delivers and this place is underrated for sure. You will see lots of local folks enjoying their brunch or lunch here at this spot. That's when you know it's good. The fries portion is huge ! You will definitely get full from it or you could take half of the sandwich to go. My coffee was topped off constantly and the service was great ! Whenever I am in this area, I am definitely stopping by again !“
“Yes please! I've loved this place since my parents moved to Tarzana in 1985. For some reason I'm stuck on the salami wrap. I rarely waver. Always get that, some stuffed grape leaves (which are to die for), a bag of chips and a drink and that's my idea of a perfect lunch. They have three or four tables if you just can't wait to get it home. Lots of fun, interesting Armenian groceries as well. Everyone who works behind the counter is super friendly and the sandwiches come out before you know it. A Tarzana classic for many decades!“
“I had the San Carlo special. It was pretty good. I've had better subs at places like Jersey Mike's. However, San Carlo is very good at its slightly lower price point. I will go back to try some of their more expensive options to see how those compare. I also had some of their pizza bread. The pizza bread is very good, which gives me hope for their pizzas, so I will be trying those out as well and updating my review.“
“Ike's has the best vegetarian subs around! Well, from what I've tried anyway. Few months back I tried their Freddy Krueger sandwich (not vegetarian) on their dutch crunch and it was great. The dutch crunch is delicious. I also tried their James and the giant peach recently and it'll be my go-to anytime I visit for sure! All the ingredients come together perfectly and the vegan fried chicken is good too! Their sandwiches come with a candy (caramel apple lollipops) and as someone with a sweet tooth, I love it. Service was good and my sandwich came out in a timely manner. It's a great place to grab a bite after running errands in the plaza.“

“We ate dinner in the bar side and it's a nice vibe, lots of folks relaxed and enjoying their meals. Pastrami burger was excellent, cooked just as asked, juicy, great combo of flavors. We also decided to grab some muffins in the morning and wow we're they great, blueberry and chocolate chip, both super tasty.“

However, apparently they won best meatball sandwich in the valley! Ok, I'm in. Half sausage too for good measure. The girl love pastrami so we got her the Al Capone. The pastrami is lean, and they let us know that ahead of time. To me, maybe a bit lean. It lost a bit of the flavor she loves so much. But I can't knock them because they definitely told us. The meatball and sausage sammy? Delightful. A whole lot of cheese on it though so bear that in mind. It was certainly the first to be devoured, along with some great chips we found in their selection. I love the old school deli vibes. What a little gem.“
“This review of country deli comes from a longtime customer, myself! I've been eating at this restaurant for almost 30 years! I Can honestly say that they make the best pastrami sandwich in the area. The service at the restaurant is excellent. The staff are so kind and friendly and you're always able to get a table fairly quickly. in closing, I highly recommend eating a big fat pastrami sandwich at Country deli so that you can feel guilty and go to the gym and work it off.“
“This place is so tiny. But, it really packs a punch. With a deli counter, baked goods, a selection of imported goods, sandwiches, and even some ready made frozen meals. They cram a lot into a small space. But, it's all very authentic. My mom loves the cold cut sandwiches here, so I've been eating them for years. I've also had the turkey sandwich. The turkey was sliced thinly, and the bread is always wonderful. Their sandwiches are always fantastic. And, the frozen baked Ziti is a delicious and convenient way to enjoy a restaurant quality Italian meal at home.“

“I went to purchase my ham as I do almost every year. When I pulled up I noticed the line was more than 2 blocks long on incline. I Stuffer from an autoimmune disease that has messed up my mobility with being said. I got out of my car to t that long line with my walker and started Up the incline towards the end of the line when one of the honey baked employees came running after me me. He kindly tapped me on the shoulder and said ma'am please come with me we want you to come inside to purchase your ham, they s as me struggling up the incline. I did not expect that I just wanted to get in line and eventually purchase my ham. They acted with compassion and kindness they helped me down the incline they walked with me until they saw I was safely inside. I want to sincerely thank all the honey baked employees that day two days before thanksgiving 2023. Yes the ham was delicious“
