“Worth the flight and drive out. The closest thing to Hawaiian poke (if you’ve had it before). Quality of the fish is awesome, ingredients super fresh, service amazing. Quantity is bountiful. Not a lot of space to sit and eat there but it’s perfect for a car picnic or drive it down to the beach.“

He was kind, welcoming, and went out of his way to make sure my order was exactly how I wanted it. I got my food to go, and everything was handled with care and professionalism — I really appreciated how seriously he takes hygiene. I’m a nurse, and his hand hygiene was honestly on a medical-professional level. “Food was fresh and delicious! It was very filling and not heavy. I appreciate the portions and presentation. The ladies were very kind and I appreciate the system of checking off everything you want. We took our own drinks and no issues there. Restaurant is on the smaller side (not many tables) but great if it's slow and/or if you want to pick up and eat at home or at a park. A little pricey but worth it!“

“This is just an all around great little sushi spot - emphasis on little! Be aware, there are very few tables and only a handful of bar seats.

That said, the food is delicious! Their happy hour is a killer deal. They have so many options, most under $10.

It's located within walking distance to the Academy Museum and LACMA, so it's perfect spot to eat at it post-museum visit. I couldn't give this place any more praise.“

“Delicious food that keeps me coming back! My personal go tos are the salmon poke and chicken katsu bowl; I think you get the most bang for your buck getting either one of those. Chill atmosphere with a nice and varied music playlist in the background. It gets fairly busy during the 12 PM lunch rush, but nothing too crazy for an unreasonable wait time. 5/5 stars!“

“Affordable prices for quality ingredients and good portion sizes. Whether I order a poke bowl or hand rolls, I always get their spicy tuna (which is actually spicy) and their ahi tuna. I really like their bulgogi roll as well but they’re very skimpy on the sauce which is alway a little disappointing (but clearly doesn’t stop me from ordering it again). I tried their shrimp tempura roll tonight and it is fine, nothing special. Not really a sit-down place but the staff is always nice when I pick up my orders.“

“A bit off the beaten path, but delicious acai bowls are available here. I had the chocolate dream (which comes with chocolate chips!) while my friend had the makai bowl. You pick between a regular or large size. We came here after eating sushi for lunch so we were a bit peckish, but eating the regular size brought us over the edge. There were some indoor tables available and a lot more outdoor seating. The outdoor seating was super pleasant and there was a fountain that added to a soothing environment. Free parking. Credit cards accepted. They have smoothies available as well.“
