“I worked here and was hired through an agency here.I worked here for 3 days and worked on the fourth day but I quit on the fourth day. The work is quite exhausting and if you're doing ham & Turkey it can be quite hard. Overall though this job wasn't for me and I would describe it as painful work if you aren't used to tiring your back and feet. It's a good workplace though and they provide free lunch. I liked the supervisor alot lol he was nice.“

“What a gem...hands down the best elotes l've ever had!! The corn man is super nice and super fast at pumping out Elote via cob or bowl. There was probably 20+ people ahead of me with multiple orders but it only took 25 minutes to get through since he's so efficient. It can be so amazingly rich and heavy for some folks but this is what you're coming for! A guilty pleasure ruminating in cheese, mayo and liquid butter and corn. I prefer the bowl over the cob since it's much easier to eat. I also recommend getting two at once so u don't have to wait in line again and it's so cheap. 100% recommend!“

“This company has been so responsive since the very first time I emailed them to request a quote! I cannot tell you what peace of mind that gave me and planning my husband’s birthday party. They are so amazing! Benito arrived early and had the food ready at five minutes before the start time for dinner. He was amazing! He was friendly and greeted all the guests. At the end of the evening he carefully packed up all of the food that was left and brought it inside. All of my guests were super impressed with the food! (The Pastor and Carnitas were my personal favorites). All of the food was excellent and the ingredients tasted fresh. The meat they had was seriously the best meat that I’ve had from a taco stand in a long time. I went with the traditional five meats, and paid extra and got Carnitas and jumbo lime shrimp. The price was great and the quality was even better! I will definitely be using them again anytime I need a catering. This was for my husband‘s birthday party and we had about 45 guests and I had tons of food left over and everybody ate a lot at the party.“

“The fact that I didn’t have to do anything like I did not have to get the flowers they were brought. I did not have to get ice and ice buckets for the wine that was already there. “Let me start off by saying that it is hard finding authentic soul food outside of the south. With that being said, my meal was hot and flavorful. I had the tri tip with Mac and cheese, greens, cornbread and a cucumber/onion salad with a side of Suela’s signature Hennessy sauce. “Had a wonderful meal at Ilé LA. The entire 4-course dinner was presented beautifully, was well-flavored, and vibrant. The food was nourishing and so was the history and storytelling behind it. The care and intention in the food and presentation really made for a special evening. Highly recommend if you’d like to experience elevated pan-African cuisine. The theme of our dinner was a taste of West Africa and included pepper soup, a honey bean hummus, and salad, jollof rice, lamb, catfish, chicken, and fonio, a non-alcoholic beverage, and puff puff with ice cream. “I don't even know where to start. Our biggest reservation with having a wedding was initially thinking about how much we'd have to spend upfront. Wedgewood made it simple by breaking it up into payments leading up to the wedding day. Thankfully, we got a headstart and planned 18 months ahead. So the payment plan per se, was much more doable once it was laid out!

From our initial conversation with the venue to the final days leading up to the wedding, Rio Hondo made it so easy for us. The planning was essentially laid out step by step and easy to navigate through the online portal! The reminders were within reason, the checklist was helpful, and the admin staff were accomodating.

We decided to get the third tiered package with the venue. The package came with a day-of wedding coordinator, buffet styled dinner, a DJ and MC, a photobooth, top-shelf and open bar, a floral centerpiece for each of our tables, and a few other things including a smooth planning schedule.

Rio Hondo - thank you for making our wedding experience such a breeze! Laura and I both had so much fun. We really didn't feel like we stressed about anything.

Tamica was our day-of coordinator, Nestor was our banquet captain, and Dustin was our DJ and MC. Tamica, thank you for being so present and attentive to our needs. From bringing us water to helping us fix our appearances as the day went on, and everything else in between. It was a fun experience sharing our plans with you. Thank you for helping us bring them to life! Nestor, you and your kitchen staff did an amazing job with the food and appetizers. We had so many compliments on the food. Many of our guests were happily surprised and satisfied. I keep thinking about the mac and cheese croquettes, the chicken with sherry cream, and the salmon. YUM! Dustin, you rock so much. Laura and I were type-A personalities when it came to the song selections, our grand entrance, the surprises, and the Labubu tosses. Thank you for working with us to make it happen!!

“Incredible food! It was my second time here and it was just as good as I remembered it. We got the vegetarian platter (comes with each of the vegetarian sides) plus the tofu tibs and the chicken dorowat (in the middle). Everything was delicious! It is so much food though, we ordered that for 2 people and had to take most of it home. The atmosphere feels very 2000’s, I love it. Service was a bit slow on a Sunday night, but they were very nice. I love this place and will be coming back soon!“

“The service was VERY friendly. My server, and several others, greeted me with genuine smiles. Started with Warak Enab Dolma/Sarma (stuffed grape leaves), which were excellent. They are the non-vinegar type which I much prefer, firm with plenty of rich olive oil. Then the Sea Bass entrée. Two full filets traditionally seasoned, a large salad, and potatoes. The tomatoes are perfect! Beautiful tea service. Very quaint atmosphere, friendly staff with genuine smiles, everything well presented. Will definitely be back. FYI: Ample free parking on the roof, enter on Western Ave (Petco).“
