“Wow, what a place. The food is spectacular. Hamachi crudo (ciitrus and floral explosion in my mouth). The meatballs: high quality meat, extremely generous size, it’s a crave. Margherita and mortadella pizzas were sumptuous - the crust was chewy and perfect.

We felt like an extension of family - it was like a welcoming home. Juanito, Luis, Christine, Samantha, Ivan, and Jordan were warm, kind, and extremely knowledgeable and guided us through the experience. This is an absolute gem. Stopped by around 8pm the other night and I believe Jeremy was helping me, nice guy and offered good recommendations. I went with the Mortadella focaccia and it was outstanding!

It's served slightly warmed as the focaccia is toasted which offers a nice contrast in temperature and texture from the filing. The bread is out of this world. I know the flavor but it just can't come to me as I write this review, but there is so much flavor packed into the bread, I could buy loaves of that alone. It's crusty on the outside and pillowy on the inside.

The mortadella is piled high with good pieces of pistachio and a slight saltiness. The burrata is creamy and smooth while the pistachio cream offers a nice nuttiness and more rustic flavor to blend everything together. Such simplicity truly makes the best sandwiches.“

“I would describe De La Nonna as an elevated pizza restaurant. As with most pizza joints, they serve up beer, salad and pizza, but this not your standard fare.

Start off with a craft beer, wine, or a fancy cocktail (or mocktail). Lots of choices to be had.

For starters, we ordered the market salad which had a fantastically light tangerine(?) dressing. The dressing on the ceaser salad was a bit heavy, but it was still tasty.

The eggplant caponata appeared to have been lightly fried and coated in a sweet and savory sauce. Very good.

As for the pizzas, all were insanely good. Each was like a pillowy soft deep dish pizza and they all came with the best crispy edges.

IMO the roasted mushroom pizza was the best — and I'm not a fan of mushrooms.

Prices are a bit higher than you would find at a typical pizza place, but again, these are not your typical pizzas. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere, chill.

“My family and I are not the biggest fan of pizza. However we decided to order some pizza, but from a place we've never tried. Pizza Cafe LA came up on google as one of the closest places with quite good reviews, so I decided to try and ordered to pick up. (My orders were ready on time!)

I ordered two large pizzas with chicken wings.
Pizzas were very nice. All of us enjoyed every slice of it.
AND chicken wings! Honey BBQ and buffalo flavors. They were so crispy and the best of all, I LOVED the ranch? they gave to us. I don't think I ever enjoyed the dipping sauce that much in my life.

Also, while service was knowledgeable, friendly, and inviting, we sat for a long while after we finished our food, so if you have a concert to go to after, let them know when booking a table. And speaking of booking a table: do that! This place is an absolute gem and I can't wait to return. It took me back to Italy (so maybe the long wait after we were done eating was intentional; that's VERY much the style of dining I enjoyed in Italy only because I expected that going into my travels). The wine selection was well curated and the Spritz made me reminisce. THE FOOD THOUGH. Everything we ate was absolutely STELLAR. The Kale Caesar was refreshing. The squash blossoms had the perfect amount of three-seconds-until-overfried doneness: a "living life on the edge" worth living for. The pairing of the chestnut honey with the La Tur: impeccable. The mustard paired with the mortadella: mouthwatering. The rosemary on the almonds: I'm still thinking about it the next day. And the olives as well as the salt on the whipped butter with the focaccia were finished up nicely with acidity from the glass of verdicchio. And while the name of it escapes me: the pizza with the Italian sausage, mushroom, and taleggio was simply divine. (We added truffle honey that I only wish was slightly more truffley - my only food-related critique!) We polished off dinner with a shared dessert, a spumoni bomba that was refreshing and flavorful. 10/10 food.
