“The pizza here is simply amazing. I've ordered the meat pizza three times already and all the family always enjoys it. My kids who ordinarily take off any meat always leave it on when the pizza is from here. There is never a slice left! They often have specials on DoorDash so don't hesitate to look there too! This will my new go to pizza place.“
“We had a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival. The restaurant was crowded but not too noisy, everyone was enjoying themselves. The server was amazing and offered menu suggestions. I forgot the name of our appetizer but it was delicious! I danced at the table the whole meal because I enjoyed every part of it. Definitely lived up to expectations and I'd be back.“
“This place is very close to achieving what it's setting out to do: provide an elegant vegetarian dining experience. I think that might be hard to pull off in a strip mall however. The food and the art are fantastic but the interior design was poorly executed and comes off looking a little cheap. I went for my birthday but for the price this might have been a one time experience. Updated from previous review on 2024-04-06“
“Highly recommend! I’ve been here twice now and had excellent experiences both times. The pizza is phenomenal—simple and perfectly done. The patio seating is particularly lovely, with several cacti and flowers and even the occasional hummingbird.“
“Thick crust with tons of flavor, with a crispy initial crunch then a soft chewy bread party with lots of air bubbles and oil. Toppings are fabulous. A few vegetarian options exist. The cakes, cream pies, and cookies are equally special. This is a memorable pizza place that you'll talk about for weeks and think about for the rest of the year. $6-8 per smallish 6 inch square slice -- two is typical. Tables for eating in are few and hard to get (waiting for a few hours is not unlikely). Lines are long for take out. Minimal street parking. Friendly and kind service. I'll definitely be coming back.“
“I absolutely love Bacari Silverlake location! Not only is the atmosphere incredible but the customer service is exceptional. I was just there for my birthday on Tuesday night and my server Kevin went out of his way to make it seem like a special occasion and helped contribute to making my night memorable! Thank you so much Bacari and Kevin!“
“We always love visiting Propaganda and this time was no different. The 4 Formaggi & Funghi is my new favorite pizza. This time we tried the boozy pandoro dessert and even 5 days later I'm still thinking of it. Can't wait to go back!“
“This place was cool. It was bright, loved the bookcases and the owner took the time to come out to greet us. We had a delicious dinner. The crispy mushrooms and lettuce wrap appetizers were really good. Add a pizza, salmon tacos and a mushroom burger, we had a feast!! We’d definitely go back again.“
“One of the most authentic and reliable Italian restaurant in Los Angeles. The food has been consistently superior and delicious. What makes it even greater is that it is never overpriced like some other pretentious eateries. I have been there many times and I will go there again!“
“Great slices and great customer service. Might be the best crust in LA. I heard they use something like 27 different flours or something wild. Whatever it is, the attention to detail really shines through. You can tell it’s special just looking at it, but biting in, it’s obviously special. Incredible flavor throughout. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. I’m even tempted to try some of the vegan stuff ??♂️“
“My daughter recommended this place so we gave it a try. There was only a handful of people there… it was a Tuesday. We sat in the outdoor area. We ordered two different veggie pizzas and bread sticks (kinda pricey). There wasn’t much to choose from on the menu. The food was more like an appetizer size serving but It was delicious. I have nothing negative to say about the taste of the food or the atmosphere. However, the parking was insane. We parked directly at the curb next to the entrance of the outdoor eating area. It’s metered parking. We had to add coins every 15 minutes… it only allowed 15 minutes before it capped out ?. I’ve read others say it was an hour meter, well it wasn’t the day we visited. I set a timer on my phone (a ticket would have ruined my day).It was a nice restaurant. I experienced it once but I’m sure I won’t come again.“
“Best salad that I've had in years. Food was fresh and served by staff that really cared about us and our experience. The atmosphere was relaxed, clean, and welcoming.Vegetarian options: Large selection of vegetarian options. Staff was also happy to make other dishes, like call zone, vegetarian for us.“
“Great place for Pizza, wings, and beer. Enjoyed the lemon pepper wings the best personally. I also really like the pizza crust delicious! The mole pizza is great along with the meat lovers. Definitely my go to pizza place around the Lincoln Heights/Boyle Heights area“
“If Italian restaurants in Italy can have a gluten free pasta option then so can Bacetti. Time to get with the 21st century. Other than that, the atmosphere was amazing, as was the wine by the glass selection. Don’t bother trying to find street parking though, go straight for the valet—I wasted 10 minutes thinking I’d find something. Gratuity of 20% is included in your bill but expect average LA service that will provide service at their convenience.“
“A very pretty friend and I decided to try Bestia on a Thursday at 5pm. After arriving and entering an outdoor patio that leads into the indoor seating, we couldn't help notice the bright blue wall, nicely trimmed tree, outdoor string lights all coming together to make a quiet eating experience but my pretty woman friend wanted us to experience the inside. Inside was livelier, more people, closely positioned tables, and an open kitchen facing the eating area. Cool modern music that's not too loud. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the coconut red chili oil scallops garnished with herbs and a slice of strawberry. I was pleased with the combination of flavors. Then we shared the bone marrow pasta, which was packed with savory flavors and interesting soft textures. It was delicious. Of course, we had to try the herb ceasar salad everyone raves about when talking about Bestia, and the hype is all true. We then shared a marguarita pizza and let me say this, despite the overly salted tomato sauce, the napolitano style crust elevated the rest of the pizza ingredients. I had old sunglasses: a tequila blanco cocktail with sweet citrus flavors all well balanced, I couldn't just have 1. My pretty friend had unsweetened ice tea, which was refreshing with a subtle fruit flavor. For dessert, we shared the chocolate dessert with a crispy sweet and salty crust that complimented the rich thick chocolate mouse that was just the right amount of sweet. It's the kind of place you take an attractive friend you really, really like. Recommend you plan at least a couple of weeks ahead to get a table because this place has a big following.“
“I’ve visited the WeHo location but tried the Silverlake one and was NOT disappointed. The Cacio e Pepe pizza is one of the best pizzas I’ve had in my life. (Although, I have not been to Italy)I think about that Parmesan creama often lol.But I literally drove an hour to have this pizza. The server was attentive, gave thoughtful (and delicious) recommendations, and made for a great experience.Note: Parking sucks - but where does it not in LA? I found a spot on the street but there is also metered parking as well.TL;DR - Exceptional pizza and good service. True S tier pizza.“
“Without a doubt one of the best pizzas in town. I have tried the variety of Diego's pizza recipes and he nails it every time. Support this local small business, you won't regret it. And by the way, his Chicago deep dish is going to blow your mind.“
“Food 5/5Ambiance 5/5Service 5/5The pizza was super delicious! I also go the Caesar salad. The pizza was really thin and had a lot of toppings and flavor. I got the white clam and it wasn’t too fishy. It was super delicious and tasted great with the extra lemon on top and the red peppers. I also got the sausage and pepperoni. It was also amazing and had a lot of flavor. would definitely recommend price for a large slice of pizza.“
“I love this pizza , I costume made mine , is price but I don really care I treat my self ones a months my pizza usually cost 25 dlrs because I put so many toppings , but I love it !!!! And the service omg amazing thank you for making do happy went I eat your pizza !!“
“Finally got to try this place!!! It’s usually open from 5pm to midnight and for some reason the timing just never worked out. We tried the Gordo pizza and mozzarella sticks. It was soooooooo good!! They really take their time into making your pie perfect. The place had four small round tables for seating but it’s mostly takeout. I will definitely be back to try other pizzas and this place is getting added to my top pizza places list ?“
“Best pizza in LA cause it's from Italy duhh Best stuffs around just maybe use the real buffalo mozzarella or have it available on pizzas - I just get the worst farts from your fior di latte ... you know so like maybe put a ball or 2 in that kitchen for all your lactose intolerant folks - also it's more Italian anyway Forza azzurri and thank you“
“As a Midwesterner who frequents Chicago style pizza joints, I was skeptical of this place at first, which was a huge mistake making that assumption! Everything about this place is phenomenal! The Lil Red Corvette was amazing, and I cannot wait to return! I hope these pizzas can be eventually shipped across the country, because that's how much I enjoyed my visit to your restaurant. Best wishes for continued success!!!“
“Are you willing to work for your food? Are you willing to wait in a long line? If the answer is yes then please take the time to try Apollonia's. Their hours are strange and they are cash only in the restaurant but it's worth it.This is best thin slice pizza I have had in California. They also have incredible Detroit style slices. The pepperoni vodka slice is a must try.Very little parking.Parking: Very little parking. Small lot that is always full.“
“Obsessed! Among a sea of fancy, loud pizza places in LA, Heirloom stands on their own merit. I drive quite a bit just to visit this spot. The pizza is fresh, balanced, and delicious, the place is comfy, and the owners are kind. My ONLY complaint is that they’re not open more often (I always crave them on Friday).“
“The welcoming was excellent by the manager and the flexibility to change from outdoor to indoor seating. The food was great. The steak was perfectly cooked and the octopus was tender and savory. The green beans were the exception to the excellence. They were too spicy and it tasted oddly. Manager made it right for us. Thank you!“
“This is by far and away the best pizza in LA! We pilgrimage from the beach to Papa Vin’s pizza oasis. All the ingredients are made fresh in house. It’s all run by the friendliest family. Do yourself a favor and dine in to experience it piping hot straight from the oven. ONLY CON: all other pizza is subpar after eating here.“
“Clean, airy, delicious. Staff is friendly and service is quick. Some of the best pizza dough I've ever had in LA. Baked in wood burning pizza oven, these pizzas feel like a cross between New York and Naples type pizza. Great place for large groups and children. Our family's new go-to pizza joint. Plus they also sell fresh dough if you want to bake your own pizza at home!“
“Placed ordered pepperoni pizza with red onions and mushrooms 3 stars for mushrooms believe they're canned. Pizza has the right amount of grease, this pizza reminds me of Italy pizza at farmers market. The green salad amazing tons of veggies and nuts and queso. Great customer service. El primo ya c puede casar.“
“Solid slice of cheese, crust was very good also. The very first time I got a pizza here, I was not that impressed because it was delivered and slightly cold already which made the pizza little soggy. I would reheat in a pan again for that extra crunch at the bottom. When you go there and grab a slice it's very good, perfectly reheated for you with a nice crunch.“
“I recently dined at Jon & Vinny's Fairfax and was thoroughly impressed with the food and atmosphere. The Italian cuisine was top-notch and the restaurant had a great ambiance. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Italian food in a great setting. As the owner of a local print and video marketing business, I was also impressed with their branding and marketing efforts. “This place is was my childhood place to go, my parents would take us here and it was great. However, this was here in San Jose, Ca and unfortunately is no longer here used to be at story rd close to crossing street king rd the arcade was where my sisters and I would play while my parents were at the table watching us and talking grown stuff I guess ? so any time I go down to L.A. I make sure to stop by before I head back to San Jose since it only exists down there in different places of L.A. county the taste is still amazing and omg there fried chicken wings are the best like when I was a kid ? this time we stopped at Fontana, CA location ? and now my son is part of this amazing place ☺️ I wish I came to San Jose though “
“Nice spot on the south end of York to share beers and hang with friends! Plenty of seating indoors with a nice enclosed patio in back. Darts, board games, etc. seating for two or large parties. Pizza is solid with a good variety of in-house beers.?Parking: May have to look around for parking on weekends. Not too far away, though.“
“In the summer of 1975, I was only 14, and already a "Busboy extraordinaire"! My family had just moved from East Los Angeles to Monterey Park, and I started working at the best Italian restaurant on the planet, 'Agostino's'. At first, I thought all the beautiful girls were coming in to see me clear dirty dishes off of dirty tables. I later learned it had something to do with the food. And something to do with the restaurants' proximity to Mark Keppel High School. On top of all that. it was Great pizza at an affordable price. I stayed there charming the clientele for about three years. I met members of the M.P. Police, council members, Mayors, and others. I saw my classmates come in with their families, on dates, and in the banquet room after every major school dance. It was a place where you could go have pizza with friends, and not be embarrassed to run into your parents having a nice dinner. It was the hub of all social life in the San Gabriel Valley. I left the restaurant for college in 1978. In 1980, Agostino ("Gus") and Alicia sold the restaurant and went back to Sicily. I hadn't seen them in almost 50 years. A half century! Well, my fellow Monterey Parklandians (is that even a word?), this past weekend my wife says to me: "Remember your wish to step into 1975 and smell the food at Agostino's again"? She then drove me to this small Italian restaurant in the community of Paramount. Inside ..... were Gus & Alicia. The original owners who gave me my first real job so many years ago. The food was as good OR better than I remembered. Just as fresh too. My wife and I split an antipasto salad, a lasagna, and a pizza. Alicia came over to sit with us, we traded hugs & stories. Alicia is as warm and delightful as I remembered her. We didn't spend too much time with Gus, he was busy. Although I believe Gus is still jealous, because Alicia thinks I'm too handsome. It's a mystery. If you lived in the MP/Alhambra area for any amount of time, you surely enjoyed the authentic Sicilian food from Agostino's. And you'll truly enjoy Gus & Alicia's "Cafe Corleone". I know we'll be going back. CAFE CORLEONE 15337 Paramount Blvd, Paramount, CA (562) 408-6100. Dine-in/Takeout / Delivery“
“First of all wow, this pizza is really good. Ive had this place on my bucket list for a long time, always wanted to come and try the pizza but never had a chance until today. And boy was it the best decision Ive made. The service was outstandind very kind and welcoming. Ambiance was perfect as well. Definitely recommend this place. Best Chicago pizza Iva had in La. 10/10 5 stars without a doubt“
“Decided to stop by the Walk of Fame and found this spot about a 10min walk from where we parked. Atmosphere when you walk in was a cool modern vibe. Ordered the the Yucca, Empinidha (Chicken and Shrimp), Bossa Burger and it was great despite it being a different temperature I asked for but Daniel was super attentive and told this to the management. Management also took care of us attentively and in a timely manner. Definitely recommend again and if you need an exceptional waiter please ask if Daniel is working. Thank you Bossa Nova for leaving my brother and I with full bellies and a great experience!!“
“Honestly, came here for the 4.9 rating on Google and the place honestly didn’t disappoint! David is super duper friendly, helped us with some questions and had a smile througout. That’s what i guess good customer service is. They have pizza slices but we ordered a small pesto chicken pizza and it is the BEST i have had till date. The pesto had a nice tangy flavor to it, chicken was cooked to perfection and the crust had just that perfect crunch! This place is a MUST visit. Thank me later :)“
“We did not have a reservation, but we were treated like royalty. Well as close to Royalty as you can get lol. The food was absolutely amazing musters the bread and the ravioli. I met with my co-author who lives in California and I live in Michigan and it was the perfect place, everyone was so lovely.“
“Best dough, best sauce, best cheese, not greasy at all It’s a must go when my kids are visiting from riverside, it’s their favorite pizza and mine, best beef pepperoni, we go there at least once a month, unless I’m working close by Then it’s at least once a week!“
“We recently discovered on our trip to LA. We never thought we would find better Italian food than we have in our hometown where there are generations of local Italian restaurants, but the food here beats them all ! How I wish they were closer! Everything is excellent, the food, the atmosphere and the service! Go! You won’t regret it!“
“The pizza was solid from LaSorted’s. I had the Spicy But Oh So Sweet Boy and added some red onions and bell peppers to it. The dough was crispy and chewy just like it’s supposed to be. I supplemented it with some buffalo wings and the traveling kale salad. The wings were plump and meaty and the salad was fresh and hearty. I also grabbed the Stepfather Hoagie for lunch the next day and while I enjoyed it the bread got pretty hard overnight in the fridge and probably wasn’t a fair representation of the sandwich itself. I’ll have to go back for a do-over on that one. The staff here was pretty friendly too. This place has a great story and is a wonderful small business that you should consider giving a try because I’m confident you won’t be disappointed.“
“The atmosphere is great, youre not going to be disappointed there. Service was fantastic, they work together as a team to clear and get food out quickly. The calamari and rigatoni were enjoyable. Though the mushroom pasta did leave more to be desired, we look forward to dining in again.“
“The last few times I came here I always ordered breakfast items (breakfast burrito, French toast, etc) they’re good but pretty mid. Today we decided to give this place another go and was pleasantly surprised. The Pancho and Pesto pizzas were so good and the portions are very large. Tofu bowl, chicken shawarma, and chicken pesto sandwich were also amazing! Service is ok. Despite it being busy as always we were seated immediately. I do like the music they always play, it really sets the vibe.“
“This place is awesome! I've ordered for my office a number of times and they're always fast and their website is easy to navigate. All the food is tasty. They really know how to make a good sub!Dietary restrictions: Lots of vegetarian options!“
“Shared a pizza and salad with a friend…the food was totally delicious! The venue is very cozy and friendly. The wait staff were extremely attentive.Parking: Arrived for an early lunch at 11am, and parking in the parking garage was plentiful. The elevator took us close to the restaurant.Validation is available for restaurant customers. With validation, I ended up not having to pay for parking, even after enjoying a leisurely lunch with my friend.“
“Our favorite pizza place in L.A. out of more than a dozen we've been to. We always get their XL Flyin' Hawaiian which has pineapple, Canadian bacon, and (real) bacon bits. Also, their music is so awesome- usually reggae or something similarly upbeat and laid back. I'm always Shazaming songs while waiting for the pizzaParmesan and pepper flake shakers are usually on the tables but if they forgot just ask, they're really good. It's worth it to ask“
“This is one of my favorite pizza places now. The photo gallery in their website totally does the pizza justice. It is as good as it photographs! I never had Detroit-style pizza. I don't take part in the Great Pizza Debate with regional styles vying for Best Pizza Ever. Pizza is either good or it's average. The flavors and textures between cheese, crust and sauce are either balanced and each component delicious, or the magic just doesn't happen. Whenever I try thick, rectangular pizza slices I'm always disappointed in either sauce, cheese, or crust. I always hoped that pizza would taste like these slices. This pizza is the paradigm of what a thick square slice of pizza should be-- a sauce that is deliciously balanced between sweet, tangy, and savory-- the perfect intermediary between cheese and carbs. Speaking of carbs, a nice thick crust, just doughy enough to feel your teeth sink into, but with the edges perfectly carmelized to support the slice as it makes its way to your pizza pie-hole. The cheese was-- well, cheese, but cheese that goes all the way to the edge of the crust, caramelized to a deep golden brown against the pie pan. On this maiden visit, we tried both the Margherita and the Biggio. The Biggio is their version of a meat lover's pizza-- pepperoni, Italian sausage, ham, and bacon. The ham and bacon, however, lent a smoky flavor -- almost too barbecue-ish -- for a non-bbq pizza. I know this is Detroit pizza but it was almost a little too un-Italian to us. The Margherita pizza, on the other hand, was crave-worthy. The cheese, sauce, and crust converged into a balance of flavor -- sweet, savory, and tangy, as well as texture -- doughy, crispy, the cheesy stretchiness, the caramelized edges.... I thought this slice was pizza, pure and simple, delicious in its simplicity. Even the tomato slices seemed to be cut the right thickness. I got ours to-go and tried calling ahead-- several times. No go, so I had to order when I got there. The pizzaria (suite #203) lives on the second floor of a two story mini-mall, overlooking the street-side dining lanes on Colorado. The parking lot is also on the second floor which is convenient, the entrance of which is on Mentor, just south of Colorado. Our order took 20 minutes to prepare-- well worth the wait. We also ordered a Caesar salad. Their Caesar was a mix of iceberg and romaine and was fine. Just know that their Caesar salads are tossed-- a dealbreaker for some if you're not into lifeless salads. Just remember this if you're ordering to-go and have to drive a ways before digging in. There is no soda fountain in the restaurant. Beverages are canned. After trying their pizza I appreciate this. I also liked how their menu is simple-- there are just two salads offered and most importantly their pizza, but really, their pizza is all you'll really need. Detroit or otherwise, it's just really good pizza.“
“I was in town for just 24 hours and heard good things about The Elbow Room, so I decided to give it a try and I was BLOWN away! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by several people and got a table in the back of the bar. The menu was incredible, so I had a hard time trying to figure out what to order so I ordered a little bit of everything. The smoked wings were amazing, as was the pizza, shrimp and filet bites. The owner Lee is a great guy and would love to have you at his bar - you won’t be disappointed, I promise!“
“I’ve been a diehard loyalist to the Arts District Pizzanista, and it’s still so odd to me that they opened one in sleepy San Marino, but no complaints from me! The slices are the same taste and quality as their AD counterpart, and the vibe is as chill as the area that it’s in. It’s a must for a casual lunch if you’re in the area.“
“Grandma Tony is the best pizza anywhere. The oregano and bell peppers make that much of a difference. I really want to order a pasta dishes and try all the other pizzas, so I'm going to have to come back a few more times. Screw Flanders.“
“I used to work across the street and this place was a highlight of working in that location. Not only do they have a monster pizza but they also have the best green chilaquiles! So good! The food always hits and you could pick up a little drink for later the service is great and they deliver!! There is a girl that works there who still remembers me YEARS later! Talk about customer service! I wish I worked closer“
