“Stopped here midway on a drive out to Vegas. Was craving kbbq. My love at the time pulled up this gem looking for one nearby. Food was so delicious! I’d come back here often if I could. Will definitely be returning soon to relive that moment“

“Food- amazing. I saw the prior reviews and was hesitant. Got a chicken bowl and several rolls. I was hungry. All of it was very fresh and great quality. I’m not sure if they changed up since getting the criticism and feedback but the energy is polar opposite of the negative reviews. The staff is amazing. The owners Bobby and his wife Paulette are amazing people who are very kind. Turns out they took this spot over a little over a year ago. They had no prior restaurant experience so this is their first go. The lunch deals are insanely good too. They’ve been here for over a year and I had no clue. Tokyo, like the city, Glowing in the dusk of polluted desert skies along a busy street 2 hours from nowhere. Dining alone I walked to the bar, may I was in order. “Ichiban, tall.” The chef, Kazu, careful not to be seen in his quick study of customers, cleaning the skin from a salmon filet, sharp is his knife, asks if I’m ready. I order off the menu, otoro and uni sushi. “If you have it.” He does. It’s glorious. I ask for a plate of sashimi, his choice, “I like everything from tamago to saba” indicating my adventurous side despite my American heritage. Again he obliges. Textures, flavors, chile, wasabi, playing with my senses so delightful. Im floating now in the ether, buying a beer for the chef which he opens to a cheers, the universal language on a plate, a shared emotion, his love for craft apparent. I almost forgot my jacket by the time I cleared my plate. I never the question the price of the experience, as it is priceless. And this man, in this place, at this time in my life is worth every single penny. 2 thumbs up, a cheers and an applause. Thank you chef. “I highly recommend this restaurant for that wonderful authentic hawaiian comfort food that we all enjoy, also I would like to point out the atmosphere in this restaurant is the absolute best.It is truly Aloha spirit.And to give you an example , a few days ago the manager who took my order had the most wonderful and friendly customer service and hospitality.I have ever seen he went above and beyond to help me and he even recommended the aloha platter , which was incredibly good and I highly recommend they're desserts in boba tea“
