“I didnt eat so cant speak to the food. The drinks were ok. The vibe was fun and very hip and urban. At 35 I would consider my time here decidedly rowdy. There was a brawl outside the venue which I feel is definitely not on brand for walnut creek but I was highly entertained. I will most definitely be returning it was fun.“

“Always very nice coming here. I come here almost everytime I visit the mall. The thought of mall sushi might not be everyone's cup of tea, but don't knock it till you try it. The sushi is great. Not too much rice and avacado/tempura/cucumber have always been very fresh. The hot mamacita roll is a favorite of mine as well as theavacado roll and cucumber roll.
It is fairly affordable and lovely service from the owners. They always say hello to you when you come in, and also bye and thank you when you leave. Always happy to support a small business.“

“We got eggplant in garlic sauce and veggie egg foo young. It was tasty and the portions were big. A little more sauce on the eggplant dish would have been nice, but we liked all the mushrooms and crunchy veggies in the dish. Will go here again for takeout.“

“Tried their caramel chicken sandwich for the first time by the manager’s(or owner: who is very personable by the way) recommendation and it was appetizingly pleasant. It had a bbq zesty, spicy tang to it. Definitely going to return for more.“

“Wonderful hospitality and warmth coming from the Host Ty Do letting me know more about the Cambodian culture. And BIG Wow on the Sea Food dish: 637. SALMON IN GARLIC BASIL WINE SAUCE : Poached salmon topped w/ roasted garlic, basil, & black mushroom in reduced wine sauce. It's divine! “Cannot recommend this place enough. High quality food, generous portions, and the price is right. We come to this spot every time we visit family in the East Bay. Strangely not a ton of people, at least not on a Saturday night, so it’s not crowded.“

“Loved this place, but removing a star because they took the teriyaki salmon option off the menu. Strange, because everyone loved it and it was often sold out! The raw fish is hit or miss. Bring back the teriyaki!
My roommates and I check doordash every week or so, just to see if they have Salmon Samba.“

“Very clean, excellent menu with very creative rolls. The nigiri 🍣 sushi is fresh and the best I’ve had to date. Personable, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Japanese beers are on point, cold and priced right. This a “locals favorite” which feels very welcoming and the freshness will be bringing me back. Cheers!“

“This place! While the names, faces and prices change, the flavors stay the same. I've been going here since it was I wanna say "Great Khans Mongolian BBQ" back in 2008. I've loved it ever since. Basic Mongolian BBQ. Not cheap but delicious! Will continue to return!

“Nice little hole in the wall restaurant!
Today I had the Mongolian beef... I actually tasted the wok hei. Soft velveted cuts of meat wok fried at high heat for a minute. It tasted like it was barbecued for an hour but I only have a 30 minute lunch and I got it in 5 minutes after I ordered. It is a must try, everything i have ever ordered was great and I have been here 3 times!

“From the moment you walk in, you're instantly greeted at the door with a warm welcome 👋. The service was great, and our server was super attentive to all her customers 🧑🍳. I ordered the lunch special—salt and pepper fish with chow mein—and it was beautifully flavorful 🐟🍜. The background music added a nice touch to the experience 🎶, and the place was clean and tastefully decorated ✨. I’ll definitely be coming back!“

“Tatsu Sushi is hands down my favorite sushi spot in the Bay Area. My brother and I have been coming here for a while now, and it never disappoints. The quality is always top-notch—fresh fish, perfectly seasoned rice, and well-balanced flavors in every bite. It’s the kind of place where you can taste the care that goes into each roll.
On top of that, the prices are more than fair, especially considering the quality. But what really makes Tatsu stand out are the little extras. The free gyoza and miso soup? That’s just an unbeatable touch. It’s rare to find a place that goes the extra mile like that, and it’s one of the many reasons we keep coming back.
The only downside? Word is getting out. It used to feel like our little secret sushi spot, but now more people are catching on. While I’m happy to see them getting the recognition they deserve, it does mean we might have to wait a little longer for a table. Even so, it’s always worth it. My brother and I will keep coming back for as long as they’re around.“
