“Wonderful hospitality and warmth coming from the Host Ty Do letting me know more about the Cambodian culture. And BIG Wow on the Sea Food dish: 637. SALMON IN GARLIC BASIL WINE SAUCE : Poached salmon topped w/ roasted garlic, basil, & black mushroom in reduced wine sauce. It's divine! It's my new hot restaurant spot in The Little Town of Alameda.“

“Omfg. Want Michelin star level food in delightfully casual digs at normal-people prices? This is your spot. Just had the most melt-in-your-mouth brisket bowl. Beef was eye-wateringly delicious. Veggies steamed to a crunchy perfection. Jasmine rice fluffy. Annoying work day forgotten! Was going to take it to go and ended up staying to eat, drink some rose, and chill out in the cute surroundings. Officially one of my new fave spots“

“SF Chronicle, by Elena Kadvany:This new Oakland restaurant taps into Asian American nostalgia: snacks, mah-jongg and all.A small restaurant section downstairs serves gyoza, salted egg Caesar salads and other Asian-inspired food crafted by A.C Boral, a Filipino chef from Southern Califoria. On the second floor, black and blue UV lights create a club-like vibe. Shelves are stocked with a curated selection of Asian snacks, from crab chips and White Rabbit candy to chili crisp. In addition, there’s a mini art gallery, mah-jongg, a DJ booth and a live-streaming room. Customers can grab a drink and snack to eat downstairs or take it to go.Take giniling, a Filipino beef stew; here, it’s made vegan with plant-based Impossible meat and local vegetables. The gyoza are served with a house-made XO sauce and a chimichurri made from carrot tops. A chilled tofu salad is dressed with Boral’s spin on Thousand Island dressing, punched up with Korean gochujang and strawberries. The menu echoes local Asian American bakeries’ love affair with White Rabbit candy and Oakland bar Viridian’s nostalgic food, drinks and vibe.“

“I got the smoothie, a side of steamed veggies and a tofu bowl and not only were all three clearly made with high quality, organic ingredients, but they were absolutely delicious. 10/10. But what impressed me even more than the food tonight was the thoughtfulness of the gentleman working. They closed at 11:30 pm (bless them for being the only vegan, organic food in the area open that late) and was cutting it close to get there before closing time. When I arrived 1 or 2 minutes after 11:30, I was worried that I had missed my opportunity and screwed up, but no - a thoughtful young man was literally standing in front of the restaurant with my order, waiting for me. He definitely didn’t have to do that - service is way above and beyond - 20/10! That wonderful young man saved me after I hadn’t eaten all day and couldn’t find anything vegan open late, I’m so grateful. <3
Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, and organic to boot!
Dietary restrictions: Tons of amazing gluten free, vegan, organic options.“

“This Quickly in Oakland chinatown is the closest one to me. I don't go there that often, but when I do, I buy some milk tea and snacks for me and my family. The owner is very nice. There are lots of drink options and snack options to choose from. I wish they were closer so I could go there more often.“

“The Roti was actually pretty delicious. The photos on the menu makes it look like the food comes like a wrap but in actuality the curry is served separately (which I appreciate). We had the Comfort dish with chicken. If I were to order again I'd get it without the chicken. Mango lasso was good too“

“Cool place (love the decor/style), nice staff & tasty food. Some dishes you will not find in the average Thai restaurant in the Bay Area. For example, the chef or owner is from northern Thailand so the menu features a top Northern Thai dish - Kao Soi noodle soup (beef or chicken), or the all time fav 'street food' grilled pork skewers (moo ping) served with sticky rice (ck out the menu on their website). I had the Pad Kemao Chicken (menu says beef but they are happy to make dishes with what you like & even have Beyond Meat dishes on the menu - cool to see stir fried basil with Beyond Meat (Krapao Beyond Neur)). The taste of my wok fried pad kemao was delicious, same or better than any I've had on prior trips to Bangkok. Glad to have discovered a solid Thai restaurant that doesn't have watered down flavors. Good to see they have a lot of gluten free and vegan choices on the menu too. Definitely will be back, keep up the good work!“

“Really tasty and inventive. Loved the yum pla muk..think that was my fave. Choo chee was also delicious though the baseline is a bit sweet. But don’t worry - I asked for a side of chilies and it was perfect!
More people need to come here! It’s real cute inside but atmosphere was a bit lacking since it was so empty!“

“Great restaurant for a date night or with a group of friends. Everything is flavorful and filling! We were 5 people total and split a bunch of dishes. Highly recommend the garlic noodles and saucy wings (medium?)
We made a reservation for a Friday night but walking in might have been ok too.
They have a large sake selection too, unsure what other drinks they have.“

“This might be one of our new spots in Montclair Village!
To preface, when we first moved to the east bay we ordered delivery from this restaurant our first night in our new house and were a bit disappointed, so we effectively left it off our list of places to go… this was our mistake!
The restaurant is no frills, but there’s seating for bigger parties and partitions between tables so it feels roomy. There’s a huge TV broadcasting sports events too.
We happened to go on “customer appreciation night” and were thoroughly surprised by the amount of complimentary dishes they brought to our table. I was already close to full with all this free dishes! I ordered the cold soba dish and that was really good. It even comes with a full order of tempura… we ordered some other small dishes for the kids as well. Overall, we were really impressed by the food and the service; our waitress was so friendly.
We’ll definitely be coming back here for meals!“

“Love this spot, we’ve been going for years. All the renovations they have done really cleaned the place up.
Our favorite dishes jajangmyeon and the fried pork. Their noodles are so good!!! Big portions also. There’s no other place like it in the bay, would highly recommend.
Staff is also very attentive and always so welcoming and nice.“

“I tried their yingyang dumplings ? & cilantro mushroom sui mai. It was good but didn’t completely hit the spot for me. Maybe those weren’t their best or they had an off day in the kitchen - I’d be down to try a different dumpling, the food was pretty decent 4/5“

“Been coming to this place ever since i was 5 years old ! It been 25 years and even though i do not live here anymore i always try to make a stop. My personal fav love the bell pepper beef. They dont take debit card so make sure to get cash. This place brings so much family memories of me and my parents eating or getting to go every sunday. I love that they are afforable and decent portions and the taste and quality off the food is amazing. They are super nice we made a order super late did not know they were gonna close and the guys said it was okay that he will wait. Best chinese food in the area.“

“The food is tasty and spicy, which I like, I ordered the Mongolian beef. It wasn't clear or stated on the order platform that this was just the Mongolian Beef. Apparently it does not come with rice which is very disappointing. It should be clear on the order app that this doesn't come with rice. This is first time I didn't get rice with my Chinese meal.“

“I used to be a regular at Pho King next door, since it’s an Oakland institution. But then I tried the oxtail soup at Tasty Bowl and now I almost always end up at Tasty Bowl. My partner gets the vermicelli bowl, which is fresh and yummy, and the shrimp cake appetizer is exceptional as well. Friendly service, much like the other family pho spots in the neighborhood.“

“Had fried calamari, which was good and plentiful, and dumplings in a spicy (not actually very spicy) sauce which was quite flavorful. Table next to me had two rambunctious children which always irritates me.
