“We were in the Walnut Creek and were craving piroshkis. We knew about Babushka Market & Deli and so we went there and ordered 6 piroshkis. The lady named Lyubov behind the counter is one of the nicest person we have ever met. She was very helpful and explained how they have something like 16 or 17 different kinds/varieties of piroshkis. We ordered 3 beef and 3 beef with jalapeno and they warmed them up for us on the spot. These are baked piroshkis, not deep friend, so they were not oily like the other kind. They were filled with a huge portion of meat with perfect seasoning with a huge beef flavor. They are literally the perfect sandwich and for a very reasonable price. We were very impressed by the quality of them and even one is enough to fully satisfy your hunger. As we were sitting at the table inside eating them, gentleman at the table next to us starting talking to us about the piroshkis. It turned out he was the owner of the Market and his name was Leo and he started it 29 years ago and runs it with his family. He told us that they buy their meat fresh and grind it on site and use all fresh and good ingredients, which explains why the piroshkis are so fantastic. We talked with Leo for a long time about the olden days, living in other countries, and our common experiences and ancestries…it was a wonderful conversation which was a perfect complement to the best piroshkis in the Bay Area in our opinion. If you haven’t tried this place we urge you to stop buy and buy one, which I think for sure after you eat it, you’ll want to buy a few more to take home. 5 Stars to this place…the best!“

I had the biscuit breakfast sandwich, very filling and the biscuit was so good. I had one pancake and man was that delicious! The parking is also a plus. “This is a five star review from someone who doesn’t even like beer. The bartenders here are either very good at what they do or performing some kind of sorcery, but somehow they always manage to find something that I enjoy!

The beer selection on tap and in the fridge is super broad, really high quality, and constantly changing; the atmosphere is laid back; you can bring your own food in; and dogs are allowed! Their regular trivia nights and other events are always a good time as well.

“My favorite Sushi spot in Walnut Creek!!! It’s amazing here. I get the premium omakase and hand rolls every time. (Usually spicy tuna or salmon). The fish is super fresh and my favorite nigiri is the otoro of course.

They have some rolls there that are pretty good as well. The pacific roll is one of the ones we always get. But you can’t go wrong with all the others. Just pick the one with fish you like and it will taste so good.

Also the staff is so friendly and attentive. It’s worth it every time we go :)“

“We have ordered take-out from this location many times and think the pizza is great. Today we dined in and enjoyed their reasonably priced weekday all-you-can-eat lunch buffet for the first time. For just $15 per person, we had pizza and a delicious salad from their salad bar. It had a wide range of ingredient options including broccoli, egg, olives, cheese, chick peas, sunflower seeds and very fresh lettuce and tomato. There were also at least 3 different types of pizzas available when we were there including a.spicy veg, Hawaiian and pepperoni/sausage.
