“EDIT: We gave Fernwood another shot last weekend for Passport Month and we were glad we did. Last time the tasting was in a small room on the right side of the road. It was a rainy day and the room was very hot and muggy. Now they have opened a new tasting room on the left side of the road. The weather this time was perfect and the room was much more comfortable. We enjoyed the wines a lot more this time. We even bought a bottle partly because Fernwood offered special pricing for Passport holders. I wish more wineries did this.There is a beautiful little creek running alongside the tasting room along with some great outdoor seating areas and a spot to play Bacci Ball or Cornhole.Small tasting room. Kind of hard to get to. Decent wines but nothing we were interested in buying. Friendly staff.“

“This is a great family owned winery. The owners are very kind and make you feel like part of the family. And the Rose is killer! The grounds are beautiful, with a great music series this summer. This is a strong recommend. Come by and check them out.“

“We stopped at this Winery on our recent trip up to Santa Cruz, it was highly rated by our hipcamp host. It was a beautiful spot nestled in the Redwoods and our server Caroline was fantastic! The entire time we were there all of the patrons were raving about her. The wine was delicious and we left with three bottles! We definitely recommend and would go again the next time we we are up there!! * added bonus the patio area is pet friendly!“

“This past weekend, we decided to visit Lester Estate Wines. The property is beautiful, with spaces for events and parties. Following the signs to the tasting room, you enter and see a long room decorated with all kinds of different woodsy/nature themed items. The staff greeted us and led us to a nice outdoor seating area. I tried the new Pinot Noir reds and she tried a mix of sparkling and still whites. Overall, it was a pleasant time and there is plenty to see! Another good wine tasting experience in the mountains north of Aptos!“

“We spent the afternoon doing some wine tasting and relaxing under a gazebo. Such amazing tasting wine ( could be because it’s still processed in the traditional Italian way) and learning about the history of the family. ❤️❤️❤️ this place.“

“Such a cool experience, this was my first time wine tasting and were was a little intimidated but the staff was super friendly on giving us the rundown. After we finished the round of tasting we got a bottle, some snacks and sat on the outdoor patio to enjoy our wine the live band playing. I rate this place 10 out 10, fully recommended. We will definitely be back when we are in the area.“
