Next time we are in West Covina, we will definitely return to the Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar. By the way, the wine list was very good as well. The first time I tried their Pho with flank and brisket. It was good, but I always prefer something that hits a little bit more.
Second time I decided to try the one with charbroiled beef and it was a game changer. I ordered it two days in a row cause it's absolutely delicious. The beef is very well marinated and tasted lightly sweet and smoky, I love to eat it even by itself.

The staff is amazing, greeting you the moment you walk in. Even when they’re busy, they acknowledge you and let you know they’ll be right with you, which is rare these days and so appreciated.

This week I had an experience that really showed me what kind of place this is. I lost my wallet on Tuesday, and when I came back on Friday to retrace my steps, they had kept it safe for me the entire time. Someone had kindly turned it in (including my cash), and the staff made sure it was taken care of until I returned. That kind of honesty and care is priceless, and I can’t express my gratitude enough.

The owner is phenomenal as well—kind, approachable, and genuinely invested in both the business and the community. Between the amazing food, the welcoming staff, and the integrity they show, I couldn’t be more thankful to have El Pilon Market here.

I would come here, to have my lunch. The meals were well-made, and delicious, at the same time. During my visits, there was ample of space, to sit down, and enjoy my lunch meals. The tables, and the place overall, was neat and well maintained. Furthermore, the staff members were courteous, and helpful. Of course, I cannot forget to mention that prices, too, were not on the expensive side. I settled on this one because they had some good deals going plus the Cali rolls looked really tasty in the pic lol. I got 2 orders Cali rolls and a yellowtail roll. I also asked for teriyaki or eel sauce on side . everything was fresh and when I say the avocado and meat melted in my mouth .. it was so amazing . I will definitely be ordering again and trying some other rolls my fave. yellow tal isn't my favorite for sushi but I'm glad I tried it and it was very fresh .
