“They used to be open later which really helped the college students but now closes like a typical restaurant which is unfortunate because I haven't got to go but I like this salad you can create whatever toppings and I get falafel and all the vegan sauce is obsessed with the baba ganoush and the green sauce. “We ordered the Skewers Mixed Grill (Mshakkal) from Aladdin Jr Restaurant and Cafe in Covina through DoorDash and it was absolutely delicious. The portion size is incredible — it says it serves 2–3 people, but honestly it easily fed four of us with leftovers. Everything was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor.
The meats were tender, juicy, and well-seasoned, and the variety in the mixed grill makes it perfect for sharing. The rice and sides complemented the skewers really well and everything tasted fresh and authentic.
Another thing we really appreciated was the packaging. Our order arrived neatly packed and still warm, which makes such a difference when ordering delivery.
We’ve ordered from here multiple times and they’re consistently good, and the portions always leave us with leftovers for the next day (which taste just as great!).
The only thing we wish is that they offered their own delivery, because we would definitely order even more often. But even through DoorDash, it’s totally worth it.

“I've been searching for really good stuffed grape leaves since a former co-worker brought some of her home made dolma at work about 8 years ago... I've had some hits (mostly misses), but none compared to the one she made... now this... the search is over. Happy palate!😊 It's my first time here. What can I say? As soon as I entered the place, I can smell good things baking and cooking. The owner showed me trays of fresh baked pastries/pies (spinach, meat & cheese) as he took them out straight from the oven. Everything looked delicious. The service was great. I ordered to go and the owner gave me a sample of the Cheese Burak (Cheese Pie) to eat on the go. I started driving off and as soon as I took my first bite I regretted immediately why I did not order that.Everything we ordered were so flavorful and delicious. They also have the best Hummus. So I will definitely go back to this place. 😊“

“We ordered the spicy hummus, garlic fries, beef shawarma, babakenush?, and cauliflower. My friend saw the baclava and had to try it. So we started with desser. The pistachio was very crispy and chewy and was my friends favorite. The walnut was sweet and chewy which was my favorite. Everything was absolutely delicious! The spicy hummus had a little kick at the beginning but as we ate we didn't taste the kick anymore. The cauliflower is lightly fried and so freaking delicious! I ate it by itself or with some hummus. My friend ate it with the babakanush and some cauliflower sauce and was in love. I tried her babakanush. I don't like eggplant but this was really delicious! Had a lovely garlic flavor that was slightly addicting. The garlic fries was just fries sprinkled with garlic powder but dipped it in the hummus and it was good. The pitas were really good too. I could've eaten more if I wasn't so full. But the beef shawarma was freaking AMAZING!!!!! We both said this was the best Mediterranean food we've ever had. I said no tomatoes to my beef shawarma which I'm glad I did. The flavor was absolutely amazing without it. Definitely 10/10 no complaints at all. And service was awesome too! So kind, friendly, and funny. I can't wait to come back again!“

“Lots of vegan choices here with faux meats. I ate my falafel and fries. The fries were a light golden, crunchy outside fluffy inside, generous portion, but it costs extra. The falafel (about five in the wrap) was good, a little dry, but good chickpea flavor 5/5...but I wished the lettuce wasn't so "spring mix from a supermarket bag" and clubky chunky...I like to see more finesse...but the pita was the thick fluffy kind and the sandwich was well wrapped so you could hold it without too much falling out. I enjoyed the cute Sierra Madre ambiance inside...though I was kept waiting so long in the place i nearly left...about 12 minutes alone before someone emerged from the back, without as much of a welcome or greeting. Well, I was excited to be there at least. Anyway, no check ins from any server but I tipped the guy 15 percent anyway, and he did thank me for that. I ordered a beef and chicken combo with rice and the proteins were grrrreat 5/5. It survived the half-hour drive home. Suggestion: Ask to have the pita bread packaged outside the container. The pita was under the proteins...alas mushy soggy unrecognizable....not smart, sorry. So if you want pita that isn't mush, beg to have the pita on the side. One star less because of that decision to put bread on the bottom for a takeout order. My mom didn't get any pita 0/5 and that's a shame bec it was the fluffy kind.“

My favorite is the Feta and Olives, Lemon Potatos, Pita, Hummus and Gyro Meat. My wife has the Salmon all of the time and it's her favorite. My go to is usually the Classic Gyro. “This place is like Subway, but with pizza instead of sandwiches (and much fresher ingredients). They have a menu of pizzas, but you can customize all of your toppings as you watch a staff member put it together for you every step of the way - from saucing to firing it up in the pizza oven so it comes out fast and hot. The crust is consistently perfect (thin and crispy), there are a ton of fresh, quality ingredient options, and the flavors are amazing. This is a place I have frequented for years and I can honestly say that I have never had a pizza I didn't like. I've tried a handful of them, but my go-to is the green pie (pesto basil sauce, mozzarella, feta, zucchini, eggplant, artichoke hearts & fresh tomatoes). My husband does not like vegetables too much, but even he has learned to let them make it as-is, without customizing it, because it is SO GOOD! The chicken wings are juicy, meaty, and delicious. The salads and Mediterranean plates are great as well (chicken/beef kabob, falafel or chicken shawarma served with rice, salad, hummus, pita bread, and garlic sauce). There is even a dessert counter where you can usually find an assortment of treats like macarons, Dubai chocolate bars, and Baklava. They also serve beer (bottled and on tap).

Aside from the great food, the place has a great ambience with a large & spacious indoor dining area as well as a large shaded patio area in the front (facing bustling Citrus Ave), big screen TVs, and even a little game machine for the kids. They do a great job of keeping it all nice and clean. A small touch I really appreciate is that they conveniently keep extra plates, silverware, condiments, and to-go boxes out in the front so you can use as much as you need without having to ask for them.

On top of all that, it's in a prime location in downtown Covina so there is plenty to do if you have some time to walk around. Great for families and casual date nights.
