“I have been going to Porto's since the 1980's..the one in Glendale. How elated I was with having them being in Northridge where I live. The food is terrific and the lines go fast due to a tremendous quick system they have. The catering for parties has never let us down and people you have invited that never have experienced Portos are thrilled. The cakes are delicious. What I do miss is not having the individual cake slices for purchase so you can experience the taste. They only have the neapolitan, Parisian, and carrot for slices. I've seen the menu change over time and do miss some of the items.“

Cheese stuffed zaatar and the sojouk kachopuri were my favorite and the garlic chicken wrap was my husbands. “Inside, there is only room to order food and buy bread. Their cinnamon roll is pretty good, but served cold. Their everything cookie is delicious. There is ample seating outdoors for brunch, and servers are nice. The breakfast sandwich is good, and their standouts are shakshuka (absolutely delicious!) and the chai latte. Their vanilla latte is also well bodied and just sweet enough.“

“Went to Vanak Restaurant and Bakery for a Persian brunch and had such a great experience. We ordered Kale Pacheh, a classic Persian brunch staple, and it did not disappoint — flavorful, comforting, and very well prepared.

The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Portions were generous — easily enough for two people — and the food was genuinely tasty and satisfying.

“The atmosphere is very much like grab n' go, but if you need a place to sit and quickly enjoy some food it's good too! The tamales are good, the pan dulce is good and the champurrado is delicious! The champurrado is not too sweet which I really appreciate coming from a family of diabetics. Pricing is fair, they bake everything there so it's definitely worth it!“
