“Whenever there are good people that come through my life I always like to mention them and make sure they get credit where possible. I’ve been a longtime customer of this bakery. I have to say they do a wonderful job. This is the only place I come in Los Angeles for any family members special occasions. Today I came in to purchase two birthday cakes to be used as a celebration for daycare graduation. Nancy went above and beyond to meet all my expectations. She even went to the degree of helping me carry the cakes to my car as well as making sure my request were meant With courtesy and exceptional customer service. I certainly hope the management team sees this msg because they have a real winner and should take pride knowing they have a teammate like Nancy on their team.“

“I watched an Eater LA video about FurnSaj being one of the best Lebanese restaurants in Los Angeles. This is my kind of place! It is a simple counter restaurant in a strip shopping center in Granada Hills with additional locations in Glendora and Calabasas. You have everything from flatbreads and traditional Mediterranean meals to choose from. I went with the cheese boreg mana’ish and the spinach pie. Both were reasonable and delicious! They give a lot of food for the money. They take cash and credit cards as well as Apple Pay and other mobile payment options. Restaurant employees and guests were wearing masks. Based on how great the flatbreads taste, I would definitely go back and try some of the other options on the menu.“

“The cake isn’t bad, but for the price I expected it to be moist and the berries not so sour (I got the triple berry cake). The packaging is fantastic though, and I got a thick chocolate chip cookie here once that was top notch.

I will try some of the other bakery sweets or a flourless cake next time I go, but probably wouldn’t ever get a normal cake from here.

“I have been going to Porto's since the 1980's..the one in Glendale. How elated I was with having them being in Northridge where I live. The food is terrific and the lines go fast due to a tremendous quick system they have. The catering for parties has never let us down and people you have invited that never have experienced Portos are thrilled. The cakes are delicious. What I do miss is not having the individual cake slices for purchase so you can experience the taste. They only have the neapolitan, Parisian, and carrot for slices. I've seen the menu change over time and do miss some of the items.“

A fine selection of cheeses, meats antipasto in the deli-case, cookies to canned goods on the dried goods shelves, frozen tiramisu to lasagne in the freezer case. “My absolute new favorite restaurant! We were visiting family in LA from Chicago and they took us here, I ended up going three times in my one week visit. Cheese stuffed zaatar and the sojouk kachopuri were my favorite and the garlic chicken wrap was my husbands. Honestly everything we had was delicious and the kids kept asking for the pepperoni pizza and mini pizzas.“

“Our family absolutely adores this cookie shop, and I've never met anyone who hasn't raved about Crumbl cookies. We pass by here almost weekly, and it’s become a tradition for us. But it’s not just the delicious cookies that have won our hearts—it's the incredible kindness and warmth of the people behind them.

We had come in with 6 excited kids in tow and their disappointment was so evident when we saw that they were already closed. We were ready to leave when, to our surprise, some of the owners had noticed their disappointment. Instead of sending us on our way, they asked what flavors we were hoping for. They kindly asked us to wait, and within moments, they had cookies for us. I just couldn't believe they would go through such great lengths for just a few cookies.

“FYH is more than a resturant it’s a home for every vegan. The place has been around over 50 years and if you don’t know their story, read it next time you visit. It’s on every menu. The food is excellent the ambience is old school, big portions that are made with love. We go there often, they serve brunch, lunch and dinner and you can really go wrong with whatever you order. “All the employees are so incredibly kind and helpful. They have the best gluten free bagels, especially the breakfast sandwiches (vegan bacon egg and cheese is my favorite). The pastries are also delicious. Truly a perfect place for someone gluten free.

“We can't rave enough about Kaye's Cake Designs! We had a last minute thought to get a Mother's Day custom cake made with figures of my Brother, Sister and I as kids. Kaye even included our cat. She matched the pictures we sent in perfectly and even had us wearing the exact same outfits. She is so very talented and the attention to detail was amazing. We couldn't stop looking at it. My friend and I wanted a quick breakfast that would be easy to eat in the car, so we both ordered the breakfast sandwich ( under $10) and a cold drink. Our food was made after we ordered so I know it was fresh! Our egg sandwich was pretty good, but a bit dry and needed more flavor or spices, thus the 4 stars.
