“I went there for a social event. The server was very professional. She asked what I wanted, and I told her what I normally get for a burger. Even though couldn't accommodate everything, what she did accommodate, she got right. The burger comes with blue cheese, and she had the cooks put on American cheese, which she correctly assumed I would want. As far as the event itself went, I had a blast. I played three different games and made four new friends. If there is ever another event here on a day I'm off work, I will absolutely come back.“

“During the World Cup we checked out some German beer gardens, and somehow over saw this one, possibly the only heart-driven authentic German one. The most we have seen so far, it was more a "business plan" let's do what Americans may think a German beer garden looks like. Our friend, the LA promoter Vahe, took us yesterday. We found a little gem, grown over the years, with an actual German owner and a service that had more than basic knowledge of German food. Nice! The ambiance was what you would expect from a place like this, less stylish-designer but more owner look-what-we-brought-from-Germany over the many years. The food was actually good, reasonably priced and generously portioned - the sauce platter really deserved its name "platter"- Came with great German curry ketchup. It would be too much to brag about the food, it was decent better than just OK version of classic beer garden dishes. But one has to be fair: where in German beer gardens you find food really worth bragging about? So while I was really tempted to stop at 4 out of five stars, I give 5. After all, it matches my most key how-to-get-5 element: would I do a 30+ min detour just to go here. If someone asked me to show them decent German cuisine in a somewhat authentic ambiance, I would take them here. The Kiez may be closer to our home, the Wirtshaus more stylish, but here we found the hearty welcome we missed elsewhere.“

“We’ve been a vendor at Native Son with Pizza House, and it’s a great LA spot to serve at. The team is helpful and easy to work with, and the atmosphere feels upbeat without being chaotic. Guests are engaged, the space is awesome, and it’s a fun place for a pop-up night. We’d happily come back anytime.“

“I ordered off of Doordash for pick up and was slightly confused. This place is a little difficult to find if you’re not sure where you’re going. The pick up for bad-ass breakfast burritos is inside of Dog Haus on N Hollywood Way. There is signage outside and it makes it very obvious.
The bartender was the only one I saw when I walked in. She greeted me with a huge smile and could tell by my confusion that I was there for a pick up. She pointed me in the right direction.
The burritos themselves were delicious. Huge portion, no skimping on ingredients, and very, very fresh. We ordered the chimichanga burrito and the Haus burrito. The modifications selected online were accurately taken which I very much appreciated.“

“I rented this venue to host my book launch, and it was truly magical. Brandon is such a great host and makes you feel so welcome from the moment you walk in. First off, the space is so cute and perfect, which made the event feel even more special. Second, all the staff were amazing, attentive, kind, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire evening. Third, the overall atmosphere of the venue really elevated the experience and made the night feel magnificent. From the lighting to the layout, everything came together beautifully and created the perfect setting for such an important milestone. “I had never been to this restaurant but walked by and decided to check out the menu. Looked really, really good. So I came back with two friends. We all had different salads for lunch and each was delicious and the side order of sweet potato fries which we shared was to die for. The vibe of the place is very chill and the food selection was great. Next time I go, I will order a blonde beer too - they looked really frothy and everyone was getting them. Plus they have a happy hour. I really liked this place! And consider it a new Santa Monica discovery.“

“What beverage, brewed since ancient times, is made from hops and grains? Find out at Duff Beer Gardens. The vibe here is nice especially around sunset. It’s a great spot to take a break and enjoy a crisp Duff beer.

The beer is solid, though seating can be tough to find during busy times. I really like the episode clips they play on TVs. It’s easy to end up sitting there longer than planned watching old scenes and getting hit with that wave of nostalgia.“
