“I read good reviews so we thought would go and give a try. Well the family and I had fantastic meal. My husband had a goat fish and said was very flavorful and tasty. For the kids (8, 11)we got a mild Lamb Korma and Butter chicken. With these I confirmed that they would be mild enough for the kids. The butter chicken and lamb korma even though was ordered as mild (no spice at all to it) it had an absolutely amazing flavor to it- perfect for kids. Now I have had a lot of butter chicken and hands down this was the best I have ever had. The chicken fried rice we ordered was very tasty as well. Highlight for my husband was the beer from India. He said it was very nice and complimented the food nicely.“

“Best Indian food I've had in OC. The service was absolutely great! Our server was extremely friendly and made us feel welcomed. The young man answered all our questions. It was our first time there and we can't wait to go back to try the entire menu. The food was DELICIOUS. So much flavor!! The venue was clean and really well decorated. They have beer on tap which is a huge plus! I am a huge carnivore but for those who are not they have plenty vegan options.“

“What a lovely surprise! We had been eyeing Himalayan Delights since it opened and finally ordered take out a few months ago. It’s been on repeat ever since! We have tried the butter chicken, chicken korma, chicken tikka masala, tandoori, naan, and our absolute favorite is the chicken momo!! Omg it’s amazing. Wonderful service, delicious and authentic food….it’s our go-to for Indian/Nepalese. Must try!“

“Great food at a great price. Friendly service, quiet and clean environment. This is my kids' favorite place. We love their Butter Chicken and Chicken Marsala. Their rice is really good as well and you cannot forget to add a bread basket. I'm telling you, you'll be satisfied and your wallet will be happy as well. Highly recommend.“

“A man from a far country came to this restaurant, tired and hungry, and bought some Indian food. Much to his embarrassment the credit card denied the transaction. No problem, said the seller, take it and pay another time. God Bless you noble @Sandeep Kumar and your staff ברכה והצלחה בכל מעשי ידיך“

“Truly phenomenal service from the waiter, Jatinder, and the new owner, Robin! They were so attentive, kindly checked on us frequently, and kept our water topped up. The pakora, onion bhaji, and samosa appetizer sampler was really delicious and I haven't had such wonderfully and delicately spiced samosas like these that weren't greasy at all. My family thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes. The potions were large and very reasonably priced. The location is a bit tucked away on the corner of Harbor/Adams as they don't have a sign on the large marquee, but it's a gem worth finding!“

“RT Kitchen is truly a hidden gem. Raju bhai and his team crafts the best Gujarati eats and snacks I have ever tried. I have been impressed by every item on the menu I've tried so far. I used to eat at places down the street in Artesia, but RT Kitchen is now my go-to! It is a smaller establishment with three tables for dining in and an assortment of packaged snacks behind the counter.
The Vada Pav comes on a lightly toasted pav and fried potato filling. Their Samosas (my favorite) have a very flakey crust, and a great crust to filling ratio. The Kachori was delicious too. Their green and red (sweet) sauces are perfect for dipping these!
The Fafda Jalebi and Khaman were excellent and tasty mid-afternoon snacks.
The Mini Thali or Gujarati Thali, available weekends only, makes a tasty meal whenever I'm more hungry.
The Shrikhand is a great complement to balance out the spices after a tasty meal! All other Shrikhands I try elsewhere now leave me disappointed.
The snacks behind the glass counter are unique and tasty too! My favorite is the Dhani, similar to popcorn. Great snack when watching a movie at home. The Potato Gathiya, and Sev Mamra are excellent too!“

““Feels like home, easily one of the best Indian restaurants in town!”
India’s Spice Grill is a true hidden gem and one of the most authentic Indian restaurants I’ve ever been to. It’s a family-owned and operated place, and you can feel that warmth the moment you walk in.
Their Butter Chicken is hands-down the best I’ve tried, creamy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The tawa roti took me straight back home with its soft texture and fresh-off-the-griddle aroma. Everything here tastes freshly made with love, not like the reheated food you find in many places.
What really sets this restaurant apart is Satnam Paji, who welcomes you like family and treats you like one too. He genuinely cares about every guest and makes sure you leave happy and full.
If you’re looking for authentic Indian food, generous portions, and that comforting “ghar ka khana” feel, this is the place. Highly recommend to anyone craving real Indian flavor and hospitality!“

“This small Indian restaurant is not the best place to eat in. It gets hot inside and there is no air conditioning. However, it is perfect for takeout. The food is consistently delicious. The butter chicken, chicken tandoori, and chicken tikka masala are all full of flavor. The garlic naan is soft, warm, and really tasty.
Service is fast and efficient, so picking up your order is quick and easy. If you are looking for great Indian food to take home, this is a solid choice.“

“The best vegetarian South indian food in Artesia period. I personally love their thali's, variety of dosas and vadas. And their South indian filter coffee which is rare to get in restaurants is to die for. If you want authentic South indian food and especially if you are a vegetarian like me, you don't have to look beyond Bhimas!“

“Absolutely loved our experience at Shahi Mahal Restaurant!
We tried the Nihari, Chicken Chilli, Chicken Biryani, Punjabi Samosa, Chaat, Mango Kheer, and fresh Naan — everything was bursting with authentic Indian flavors. The food was rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. A special shout-out to Moeen, one of the co-owners, who was incredibly friendly and guided us through the menu with great recommendations. His hospitality made the visit even better.
If you're craving real, traditional Indian cuisine, Shahi Mahal Restaurant is a must-visit!“

“it had been a few years since we were here. That was a mistake. We realize had much we missed it. The ambiance, the service and oh my, the food was delicious. My Indian husband and his Indian nephew and cousin were with us. We had 3 appetizers. I had the chicken Biryani, mild as requested, but very flavorful, hubs had a lamb dish and the others had vegetarian 😋. My husband complimented the owner when we were leaving. White tablecloths, fine artwork, authentic food, served artfully. A true 5 star dining experience. Royal Khyber now moves to the top of our go to restaurants 😀“

“This is hands down one of our favorite Indian restaurants! Even though it’s quite a distance from our apartment, we make it a point to visit every time we go for Indian groceries. And trust me, it’s totally worth it! The food is absolutely authentic and incredibly delicious. As a 100% non-vegetarian, I was hesitant to try the soya chaap, but wow—it completely blew me away! Every dish on the menu is packed with flavor and authenticity.
The owner is amazing he truly understands hospitality and goes out of his way to make sure guests have the best experience. Whether it’s recommendations or special requests, he’s always there to help. If you haven’t been here yet, you’re seriously missing out. As a foodie from Mumbai, I know good food when I taste it, and this place delivers! Do yourself a favor and give it a try—you’ll love it! The BESTTT!!!“

“I come here once a month to stock up on Indian food. The frozen curries are enough for 2 or 3 meals each with rice. the samosas are great and the lentil soup or dal is great for protein! I'll also buy a masala Dosa or idli's to eat with a mango lassie before going home. It's a great deal!“
“Really good food and nice decor. Unlike most Bangladeshi restaurants in southern california the ambience is clean and presentable. We went on a monday for brunch and had paratha with goat curry, Begun bhaji and mixed veggies. The goat curry was heavenly and the paratha was really good. The cooking style has a home cooked feel to it. Highly recommend it.“

“ordered the Chicken Biryani and the Chicken Masala, and wow both were absolutely delicious! The flavors were rich, perfectly spiced, and you can really taste the freshness in every bite. The chicken was tender, juicy, and full of flavor plus it’s halal, which is a huge plus.
The portion sizes were generous, definitely great for sharing (or keeping all to yourself if you’re hungry like me). The food came out hot and fresh, and the aroma alone had me excited before I even took a bite. Oh yeah, it’s super cheap too. $10 a plate for huge portions in 2025!
If you’re looking for authentic, flavorful Indian food that hits the spot, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes from the menu highly recommend!“

“A really good place for some great Dosa (& South Indian varieties) and tiffin options in particular when it comes to Veg restaurants in the neighborhoods of Artesia. The restaurant lives up to its reputation for the original Tirupati branch.
THE FOOD:
We got Sambar Vadai, Paneer Dosa, Batura with Chole and Batura with Paneer along with rose milk. Sambar Vadai was spicy to some extent and probably because it was hot we felt more. It’s soft and nicely made. The Paneer dosa was very good, and the paneer tasted great as well. The Batura was excellent. Not so oily and seemed like it was fried in fresh oil. The Paneer gravy was kind of decent not the best but the Chole was so good. Been here 6 years before and it still remained the same: good at quality and quantity. Rose milk was usual like any other place.
SERVICE & AMBIENCE:
The place is well lit and gives a typical Indian hotel vibe. The restaurant gives a nice feel of having a good home made food especially the spice levels are pretty normal and sits well on your tummy. The staffs and waiters are extremely friendly, fast and make things easier while ordering/ serving and they still allow you to sit and dine past the closing time (unlike SriKrishnaVilas of Cumming,GA who really need to learn from them on how to value customers). Excellent customer service.
BOTTOMLINE: A very traditional South Indian restaurant that excels when it comes to South Indian food items and tiffin, with some amazing Customer service and great ambience with good quality food and priced reasonably well for the quantity offered. Would highly recommend.
MY PICKS FOR YOU: Dosa varieties, Chole Batura, South Indian Meals“
“We recently visited Anaheim on vacation and had an incredible culinary experience at Namaste Biryani! Though it’s a cloud kitchen with no dine-in option, the food more than makes up for it.
We ordered the Karivepaku Paneer, Paneer Biryani, and their signature Namaste Biryani with boneless chicken—each dish was bursting with flavor and exceeded our expectations.
If you’re in or around Anaheim and craving authentic Indian flavors, this place is a hidden gem. Highly recommend giving it a try for takeout or delivery!“

“We were greeted by the jovial manager - owner of this local favorite Indian restaurant. There were so many delicious dishes to choose from; we had Lamb Masala and a Chicken dish both with yummy Aloo Paratha and Garlic Naan. All dishes were generous and we will bring more friends next time to try from the huge selection. Gulab Jamun is my favorite dessert with Mango lassi, a perfect pairing.“

“The food was tasty but there were some disappointments- we asked very clearly for very spicy and I made it clear that my wife is from Thailand and we are both accustomed to eating extremely spicy food. The food was not very spicy at all. I was disappointed by the lack of condiments and chutneys and also disappointed they brought so much bread at once and never offered fresh, so it was no longer warm and crispy by the time we finished. These are things I would overlook at a budget restaurant but this isn’t a budget restaurant. The food was good but I don’t think we’ll be back“
“Vishnu Catering did a spectacular job at the event that I planned for ~100 people in Santa Barbara. They showed up on time, prepared, and were very professional to work with throughout the entire process. We haven't even gotten to the food yet - every single person at the event (desi and non-desi) enjoyed the food and praised the food to us. Of note, the rasmalai, double ka meetha, mutton curry, mango daal, chai, apollo fish, mango lassi, chicken tikka masala, paneer makhani, aloo gobi, and more. You can't go wrong by choosing Vishnu Catering for your event. They were a hit. Thanks Ram, for all the effort and for helping making our day so special.“

“Delighted by my midday visit to Urban Punjab in garden grove for a lunch at 3 PM—serendipity in its timing as they were open and welcoming. Tucked away in a modest shopping center that also boasts a superb shawarma joint, this place is a hidden treasure. The tandoori chicken and dal makhani I savored transported my taste buds straight to the streets of Delhi with their authentic, extraordinary flavors. The lacha paratha? Simply genius. Service was extraordinary, matched by the unique touch of serving drinks in metal, regal glasses that elevate the dining experience to one of noble indulgence. Having the pleasure of meeting both owners, their dedication was evident in every aspect. I'm looking forward to a return visit with loved ones in tow, ready to embark on a culinary expedition through their entire menu. Heartfelt thanks to Urban Punjab for a five-star experience.“

“Can’t believe I took so long to try out Bhooke. This place is UP THERE. Given the recent dip in quality at Rajdhani, would say it’s top two for Artesia.. (Podi Dosa and Bhooke)
Portions are HUGE. Service is GREAT (shout out to Bharat for looking after us so well). Chai is MADE RIGHT (masala and piping hot). Authenticity is 100 (food served in dishes wrapped in banana leaves, thalis.., art on the wall.. AWESOME). Taste? SO SO SOOOOOOOO GOOD
But also not for the faint hearted. The food is cooked with love and lots of ghee. Whether you’re dunking the ghee-soaked baati in earthy daal, or stuffing yourself with the crumbly, sweet churma or besan ladoos.. the Rajasthani flavors are front and center.. and the confronting quality of the taste is too upfront to dismiss
Best kachoris we’ve had stateside.. hands down (recommend the kachori chaat). Highly recommend the Maharaja thali.. get to try everything.. and comes with lassi, sweet dishes.. and three different types of bread (rumali roti/baati/other types of bread!). Beware.. portions are massive.. so expect to take food to go!
Will 10000% be back!“

“Been here for father's day with my family. We ordered a number of dishes and had requested to serve mild spicy. It was really mild and the freshness of all the dishes ordered was quite remarkable. Was impressed with the immense cleaning of this place including the restroom. The ambience was very open and relaxing. Enjoyed the dinner. Recommended.“
