“My sweet husband treated me to coffee and pastries for my birthday, and it was such a thoughtful surprise! He brought back two lattes: the sweet corn latte, topped with a unique corn foam, and the Tiger latte. The sweet corn latte was surprisingly different, but I found the corn foam paired really well with the coffee's flavors. The Tiger latte, on the other hand, tasted like a classic, regular latte—good, but nothing too extraordinary. I’m not a coffee connoisseur or daily drinker, so I just go for what tastes good, and both drinks definitely fit the bill!

He also picked up a couple of bread options: a cream cheese garlic bread and a hot dog croissant. Both were delicious and made for a fun treat alongside the coffee. I hope to visit this coffee shop myself sometime soon to try more of their drinks and baked goods.“

I ordered a matcha latte with half & half and it was delicious. Excellent flavor, sweetness and the perfect temperature. Overall it was an excellent drink for the morning.

“We had always heard of this place and decided to give it a try. The food was great and the service was ok. We had the Michelada flight which included strawberry, mango, watermelon and lastly the regular one. They were all good but a little on the sweet side. My husband ordered the steak and eggs. He had no complains, the steak was nicely made. I had the madres chilaquiles which were also very good but a little on the spicy side. The birria on the chilaquiles was perfectly seasoned and soft. The portions here are HUGE, so make sure you come with a big appetite. All in all we would come again to try more of their dishes.“

“My favorite place in Uptown Whittier! Great for a quick bite or cup of coffee, and unique gifts in the shop. If you're lucky, you can get a parking spot right out in front, but usually won't need to park more than a block away on the busiest days. The staff are all super nice, too.“

“Wow, the taste was amazing - both the pho and the cucumber lemonade. The pho was richly and deeply flavored and was satisfying while still being bright and fresh feeling. The service was very prompt, friendly and helpful - the server understood my not liking overly sweet drinks and recommended the cucumber lemonade as refreshing while still having sweetness. It was, indeed, refreshing and sweet - perfectly balanced flavors. The server also wisely suggested we package the noodles and broth of our leftovers seperately. I almost never eat out, but I would if I lived near Soup Shop.“

“This is a really nice cafe in Downey. They have free wifi, many snacks and nice boba. The boba menu is great. The smoothie and fruit tea are nice too. I think the standard menu is a bit too sweet for me. The snacks are like frozen snacks and took out to fry. Staff was very nice. Clean restroom. Great vibes for working or chatting.“

“Cool little spot for bicycle needs. Also had coffee and a small seating section to enjoy the view of Whittier Boulevard.The attendant there was helpful and inviting. Has a small inventory of used bikes for sale. Might consider buying if I find that I need a new bike as my work commuting options haven't been explored yet, since I haven't started my new job yet. In any case, this will be a first stop to check.The Thai Tea was solid.“

“Each time I visit, the food seems better and better, honestly if I lived close enough i wouldn’t hesitate to visit everyday. I’m not a huge fan of strawberries but if these crepes didn’t change my mind. The best part about this business I feel has to be the variety, no matter who you are and what you like, they’ll have something you like. The selections they offer are so creativity and they cater to your taste. Best crepes available, you won’t be disappointed once you sink your teeth into the sweetness that is their lovely crepes.

“It is a small place with older tables close together but very fine food they have two other ones. This one probably has the best food it definitely has the fillet steak Benedict the other two do not and I highly recommend the fillet steak Benedict...“

Approximately three Sundays ago we had a visit and after eating at the Chinese food restaurant next door we came here for a "dessert" and coffee. The young man who served us was very friendly and PATIENT that we decided to order an entire box. The young man NEVER showed any anger and also attended to us in perfect Spanish! Nothing of. "ahm, ahm" neither sucking your teeth nor turning your eyes Up, nothing. Always with a smile and education and very professional.
Ah! And while we were enjoying ourselves in Mesa (we were three couples), two other employees arrived and also greeted very politely and in Spanish. I congratulate the parents of these young people. Well, education is learned at home. And also to Yum Yum Donuts for employing people as fine as these young people. It has been a great pleasure to have received such unexpected service from a place like this.“

“Picture it~ you walk into a donut shop. You order a jelly donut and when you bit into it, half of it has no jelly! Why? Because they insert a dollop of jelly with a piping bag. Parking: Do not park towards the drive thru or you're going to get stuck cause of the drive thru line. Anywhere else is fine.“

“I haven't been to yum yum donuts in a very long time. I decided to stop and get a dz. Donuts. The family Loved them, they were light and good with a cup of coffee. Definitely will be going back.

Parking: It's a small strip mall and not very much parking spots especially when you have giant utility trucks taking up a space and a half.“

“I like zen but prices are kinda of high, no deals & the ginger granules were bad. Broke me out bad like a bacterial kinda of thing bc my skin erupted & made me itch a bit within hours. Also when i poured the hot water over the granules it liked bubbled and foam'd really good. I thought to myself thats really weird and still drank it. The bubbles and foam went away quickly though. Then i meditated on the experience for like a month and waited to see maybe i was detoxing and mayb my body would want more but nope. Throwing it out eventually. Wanted to return it so then can try it themselves but havent had any time whatsoever. I travel for work. Might call them later though but one step at a time for this crazy life i have. & I eat, juice etc with a lot of ginger 24/7. Even the hyssop ginger tulsi mix never broke me out. The tulsi fennel shroom powder & ashwagandha was good though. Definitely saw benefits with those. Didnt have time to call or notify but just wanted to give a heads up.Btw u might want to call so they have your order ready or youll have to wait like 18mins. It takes a while fyi. Paid like $65 for everything bank in january for everything mentioned fyi. Paid card. Kind of cold in there and dark. Definitely warehouse vibes“

“I’ve been to other La Monarca and enjoy their food/drinks. This spot is just as good or better than the others.

I had their iced horchata matcha and chicken mole burrito. The drink was phenomenal and the burrito was very delicious, didn’t look too good but the flavor of the mole was excellent. Overall a great lunch.

I’d definitely come back there to try their other menu items. A solid location with a spacious area to bring a laptop and enjoy a snack/drink.“
