I first tried these tacos when I was 15 years old, and now at 31, I still make it a point to visit this place. Not only is the food delicious, but the cleanliness of the restaurant is also impressive.“

“Sol 626 is truly special. The menu offers a good variety of dishes, and our server was very knowledgeable about the ingredients and the origins of the recipes. Ambiance and service were exemplary, but the food was the real star of our evening. We tried the salmon, carne asada, and enchiladas with both red and green mole sauces. Each of these plates was perfectly prepared. Such amazing flavors! I also ordered the jamaica agua fresca, and it was delicious and not too sweet. I highly recommend Sol 626.

“I went to this place hungover and the guys were awesome they gave me my menudo nice and hot and were super chill. They even gave us an extra bowl for my husband. Lol The staff are friendly, they understood the assignment 🤣 Not to mention the prices are reasonable unlike other spots that charge too much for menudo. Definitely recommend 👌🏼“

“I was told about this place from an out of town coworker that has relatives near by. The owner/cook was very hospitable and everything was surprisingly low priced. Tacos were very tasty and well balanced. I would go back definitely. The only thing I didn’t really like was the parking lot cause its entrance is very close to a busy blvd with fast traffic. You have to exit very carefully. I recommend either parking in the back, side street or back in.“

“I've made a few pit stops here through the past year and it's always been on point. Their tacos are made with top quality meats. Their birria has been my favorite. And their breakfast burritos have just been top notch for me.

A lot of people in Uptown are sleeping on thos place.
Also feel it's best after a night of fun at the bars in the area.

“Amazing Sope Tacos Desvelados is basically a thick tortilla with lots of tasty things on top of it. The base is made from masa dough, which is cooked until the outside gets crispy and the inside stays soft and chewy. Each bite tastes great because of the different textures that are mixed together.“

One time they got my order wrong and gave me 2 asada tacos instead of 2 Al Pastor tacos, they gladly fixed the issue and gave me the 2 Al Pastor tacos that I ordered and I kept the other 2 they gave me at first. I have lived in whittier my whole life and I can say that the food from this food truck is the best from any other food truck I've had.“

The staff is very friendly, the place very clean, the menu has a variety of choices and plenty of parking. this place gets packed on Sunday breakfast so get there early. Other days are still busy but not as long a wait, also not a very big restaurant with modest accommodations but like I say these little out of the way places pack a punch to your pallet. “Excellent service in a charming restaurant behind the Starbucks. They have an extensive menu with excellent Mexican food, enchiladas, burritos, tacos, taquitos and menudo. They also make a great breakfast: omlettes, pancakes, & chilequilles!“

“I don’t really like chains, but I think that kalaveras has kept it consistent throughout the years. They still kept the same vibe, kept the same type of menu, and promote the same type of night.

Always see at Tue & Thu nights passing by its always packed; Same food and same friendly staff taking orders. Ordered French Toast and it is on point and affordable.
